Just upgrade the swaybars, thats all u need to do. Hotchkis is what i have and it stiffened it up and the handling is so much better. You caan set the rear height with a scanner
The rear shocks do fine without in my configuration, so I didnt necessarily need them, but I wanted something to stiffen up the springs a little bit while towing and also not make the factory air bags work as hard.
Hey I lowered mine this past weekend kit said it was a 5 inch drop but it barely dropped it maybe 2 inches my springs were about the same size as yours right here and I had the same shock extensions do you think to go lower I need longer extensions or shorter springs? Can you please answer and what do you think I did wrong?
You might have to play with the ride height sensor length. They might be inflating the rear air suspension to raise it to where they think they should be, which isnt as low as you want it.
@@mike_stanceco that’s what I was thinking how many inches do you think I should put it at so that it gives the lowest height possible if that makes sense ? Please help me out lol I’d really appreciate it
I know you did this a while ago, but do you have to torque that freaking bracket that lowers the shock? Their picture is terrible and not even they can make sense out of their instructions. Thanks
@@mike_stanceco glad it fixable just did the drop on mines but it sags was readdy to take it off but hopefully i can get it dialed in did you happen to mesure what the rod mesure at the end ?
@user-iu4so2ju7o lmao someone call the police Karen is about to bust a nerve. @mike_stanceco looks Clean thanks for the info just dropped my tahoe but the rear end still needs to drop to be completely level
Well done video! This was very helpful

What scanner?
Awesome work Mike!
Thanks!
You didn’t show the passenger side spring. Was it a lot harder with the bar on the way?
Nope, it was just as easy as the left side for me
How are those shocks holding up? I have to replace the rears on my 2017 Denali XL and was weighing my options.
So far they're still holding up! They have about 20K miles on them so far.
Is the reason you needed to add the airbags that the rear shocks are not able to compensate for the additional hitch weight of a trailer?

I just went for tight lol the direction were awful. took me a min to figure out the orientation of that bracket
Did adjusting the rods help with the sag?
It did! I actually got some all-thread and made longer rods so i could get it dialed in. I have it sitting with the rear 1/8” higher than the front

Lower the front!
Do you need to replace the shocks to lower it ?? Or not necessarily??
The kit came with the drop brackets for the shocks, no need for new ones.
The only thing that is needed to lower the rear are the Springs and the lowering shock brackets. Is this correct?
@EdgarGonzalez-hx5jq And you need to adjust the length of the ride height sensor rods
So there's no cutting needed. I have watched so many videos of people cutting to lower it. I have a 2018 and it has a gap from hell lol
Just buy for you sedan car and you don’t need to drop it anymore
Sedans are already lowered - thanks
Messed up geometry
Elaborate on this please
Scientists and developers studying at university all there’s life to get that level and you are with no brain in one minute make the level
lol okay 👍🏼
