This was the absolute best (just like everyone else said, “some of the happiest, most meaningful times of my childhood are centered around this game”) but I want to add that the outro is AWESOME. I hadn't played games since 1980 when I had an Atari 2600 and I had Donkey Kong on it as well. Years passed joined the Navy at 18, hadn't thought about games really until December 1994. I went into WalMart in Richmond, KY and they had this set up on demo. I glanced over at it the first few times I seen it then one day I walked over and checked it out and was hooked, haven't stopped playing games since. Played DK 1, 2, 3 and was so exciting looking for the Brady Games walk-through books in the book store.
One of the best games ever, certainly for its time. I remember when I first saw it, I assumed it was for the N64, many of my other mates thought the same.
i miss this game so much. thank you for bringin back so many happy childhood memories of playing this game ^^
Remember playing this at my great grandmas RIP 🙏💙
i remember playing this game as a kid with my dad, those memories are something else man…
R.i.p to my mate who named me D.K after donkey Kong you are forever in my memories brother
These comments… ❤ I just found this video to show to my 11yo. He is way into games now and had so many questions. I figured I could just show him, so thank you for posting this. It’s bringing back so many good memories of my childhood. I miss those days, but I’m happy that I can share a little snippet with my kid.
Sorry comin in with another comment, the cart runs... it's amazing how the devs make you feel like you were on the rails with them. Great gaming all aound👏
This was the absolute best (just like everyone else said, “some of the happiest, most meaningful times of my childhood are centered around this game”) but I want to add that the outro is AWESOME. How they give us names and visuals of ALL the characters - along with the little added funny interactions like the shark chasing the squid, then the squid 🦑 gang up to chase the shark 🦈, haha just perfect & nostalgic. To me when I factor in EVERYTHING, this game IS TOP 5 for ME‼️
Top 15 best games ever made for sure
Waking up Saturday morning and jamming this out with my brother and cousins. Best times ever
This was my first console game back in the 90's. I had so much fun with it but it took me months to beat the game! Still remember when i beat King K Rool for the first time. Can't believe you can do it in 1:40:00 !!! I still have the game so i will try to beat it again :)
I never beat that game was to hard for me
Lol, i saw a video a guy finished game in 8-9 minutes
@@amx42 lol!
this person is really an expert who must have played for a very long time to know all the secrets of the game, it will be my favorite video if one day I play this game again so as not to miss anything
Despite my hate for underwater levels, in every DK country game, I have to admit the soundtracks in those levels are just wonderful
Yeah that stands out to me above all else. The game itself is great but the underwater music is so iconic and beautiful.
Especially a music where DK and Diddy fought K. Rool
Just hearing the music brings me back to those days stay up all night beating this game
Great walktrough!
I come back to watch these older games brings back so many memories
Um jogo que nunca morrerá atemporal ❤❤❤❤
This is still one of my Top Ten favorite games of all time. I wasn’t allowed to have a game console when I was younger but when I was finally allowed to play my stepsister’s SNES I was hooked. This and Super Mario World consumed sooooo much of my time. I miss those days.
Also that underwater track has no right to go as hard as it does, it still holds up to this day!
