    That hurt when you ripped the GTX 1080 Ti box :(

    • @Tech-Guy
      @Tech-Guy  7 років тому +1

      It's a box, I threw 4 of those in trash that day, with the stickers and everything. I like Amazon's "frustration free" packaging where everything comes in gray recycled cardboard boxes

    • @Tech-Guy

      decal? Ah, you mean the plastic cover when I was closing it the CPU bracket. It should pop out with a spin, and that is the most fun you can have while assembling a PC.

    why. Don't install ram,cpu , cooler outside the case ?

    • @Tech-Guy
      @Tech-Guy  7 років тому

      It is harder to put it in later, and the MP is not not supported at the right places, so when you press it with screwdriver (for example tightening the cooler) you are either bending the MB if it is on a soft material, or ruining the bottom of it if it on hard surface.

      Ahahaha, what do you think the heat spreader is? It's like a heatsink for the chips under it, let me know when he touches those or the contacts, even then he's not gonna break anything. A lot of the "not recommended" crap is old wives tales that just end up terrifying new builders because they think everything's made of glass.

    I have the ASUS ROG STRIX Z270H with an i7-7700k and Corsair Vengeance lpx 16gb 3200mhz and I cannot get my RAM to OC at 3200mhz?? It’s stuck at the base 2133mhz.. any help on that?

    • @Tech-Guy
      @Tech-Guy  6 років тому

      The speed increases of overclocking RAM are very small (less than 5%), which means having 100 fps instead 103 fps, and is hardly worth the trouble and instability, so I would not be worried about that.

    • @GoddamLuke
      @GoddamLuke 7 років тому +2

      You can do that without touching the surface of the cpu. Generally you must always hold the cpu by its sides and avoid touching the surface heat spreader but if you do accidentally touch it, you must clean it properly with isopropyl before applying thermal paste and installing the cpu cooler, which you didn't

      Have you seen Insta360 8K (around $4K) I guess you prefer portability. I've been using the Samsung Gear 360 latest one since a while thanks to a lady friend and wifey that went to the galaxy S8 unpacked & got it for free.
      I recorded a concert and it went well, just had to stop & star recording between every song though, the importing to smartphone or computer takes too looong if you know what I mean. And for the second concert I noticed it got hot easily (this time was indoors) so I did a lil hack to resolve the issue...

    • @Tech-Guy
      @Tech-Guy  7 років тому +1

      The Insta360 Pro is quite expensive, but it seems pretty good. I also used Samsung 360 but the first generation. That one also has issues with overheating but it is pretty good overall.

      Definitely need a good CPU, the more cores the better, im no expert but i recommend you to wait til 8th generation i7 to come out itself, it has 6 cores/12 threads if i read correctly only for 370ish... I can't say this is exact price but I can say expect 20 plus or 20 below... gpu helps yes, but again im no expert lol

      My recomendation is definitely AMD Ryzen as it is 40% faster than the i7 for the same price in Cinema 4D. I have made a screen recorgins comparing Ryzen 1700 to i7 7700K but I have to put it together in a video so I'll do it in the next day or two, but definitely Ryzen for 3D, and for the rest does not really matter

    • @Tech-Guy
      @Tech-Guy  7 років тому

      Well, I usually wear it, but I did not always, and nothing ever happened. One time I did not wear it and as I touched MB the spark jumped from my finger, but nothing happened and MB was still working. I wear it just to be sure.

      Anti static wrist strap recommended so you don’t shock your parts during building build over hard wood or tile or concrete ( *NOT CARPET , NO SOCKS* )

      No, but I know I might add second GPU one day. I would have went with 650W otherwise.

      I left it there to protect the cooler from the heat of the CPU... jk, I cut that part too short so you cannot see that

      Cooler does not influence performance, and these machines will not be overclocked, because I am the system admin, and I am too old for that s*** ;)

      If your not over clocking your pc then it's a very good choice, it's cheap, does it's job and leaves plenty left in your budget for other components. I replaced my corsair h100 with it as a short term part but I decided to leave it in because, well, it does it's job and it's quiet!

    • @X8551516

      Lul one of those people who think higher priced = better. The 212 evo is better than a lot of more expensive coolers out there.

    • @X8551516
      @X8551516 5 років тому

      @@downtimegamer5076 212 evo is fine to OC with, just depends on how high you intend to OC. Stock coolers are what you don't wanna OC with. There's also dependence on your cases ability to cool as well which OP's case honestly isn't good for airflow. I could nitpick about a few other things, but already enough full blown autism in these comments.

      If you really want to go into the terminology then this is a High End PC as "Personal Computer"; if you want a High End Workstation, then I would show a dual Xeon Workstation instead. If you draw a bell curve of the computer performance distribution then the right 25% of the peak of average would be high-end anyway

      i also use i7 7700k+1080ti+ram16 and i dont think its a high end computer. its just a really good and worth the price but not high tbh , its high performance but not high end. (i7 7700k is not even high priced compare to i7 6900k or i9 7980xe which i called those HIgh end). 1080ti is top of gpu this year so u can call that high end but i7 7700k is not bro

    • @Tech-Guy
      @Tech-Guy  7 років тому +7

      It is High End PC "Personal Computer". Maybe less than 5% of people have that, or stronger, so that is high end. High End workstation is something else
