Harry is heavily influenced and loves the 70s and 80s! he's a huge mick jagger fan and is also often called the mick jagger of this generation, a total rockstar! he is a huge fan of fleetwood mac and is great friends with Stevie Nicks, they've performed together a couple of times and have this mother-son bond! he's her muse!
you should definitely check out Stevie and Harry's first performance together at the Troubadour, it's very heartwarming and he turns into a total fangirl singing alongside his idol xx

@@debbymabalcon2789 More respect with the classics! If you like the music of Harry Styles you like the classics, even if unconsciously even if is reversed. There is no Harry (and much of the music of 1D) without the 70s and 80s. Hell, there are even samples in their songs!. And it's a Harry fan who tells you. It is shameful as a fan or admirer to say that you do not like something that is so present in Him, it makes you wonder if you really like what he does or if you just like it because it is Harry.

Harry grew up listening to 60s and 70s rock. He's a huge fan of the Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Bowie and all those rock legends and he takes a lot of inspiration from them. He's been compared to Mick Jagger ever since 2010 so he's always had that thing going on, even when he was a kid. Even Mick himself has said that Harry makes the best Mick impression after an SNL skit Harry did playing him haha.

I just recently started on a harry styles journey myself. And I have searched youtube for videos like yours and others. The common reaction to people who were not familiar with him at first. Was Mick Jagger. As a old school rock and roll. I think it's Mick jagger swagger with some David bowie flair. My simple answer is. The kid is talented.

So yes to being a rolling stones fan, as others have said (as well as mercury, bowie, stevie, elvis), but more to the point: you should check out his first SNL stint, when he actually did a Mick Jagger imitation for a skit (Jagger approved imitation, to boot). Lots of people have definitely noticed the Jagger thing, to the extent that he's always discussed for if they go through with a biopic. Interesting sidenote is his friendship with Ronnie Woods. You should also check out some of his moves during his concerts, especially during kiwi, because his natural moves are very Jagger-esque at times. A little Jagger, a little Bowie, a little Mercury, mixed up.
And his guitarist (and one of his best friends) Mitch, always gets called out for his face lol. He's just not an emotive dude.

  • @AnnaLujza82
    @AnnaLujza82 4 роки тому +6

Thanks for this reaction, I never get bored by this performance.
Other comments below confirmed that he is a huge fan of the 70s-80s music,
and can be easily called a geek, because he knows a lot about “old music”. Once
he shared a playlist on the radio surprising people with some of the
bands/singers on the list (like Billie Holiday, The Zombies, T.Rex, The Kinks,
    etc.)
About the band: the drummer (Sarah) and the two guitarists (Adam on bass
and Mitch on lead guitar) are with him since the beginning of his solo career -
2017. The keyboard player (Clare) has been replaced from 2019. For example, in
the Sledgehammer cover you can see the new girl, Charlotte on keys and one more
band member joined, NyOh who plays several different instruments + has
    excellent vocals.
In this performance, you could see one more guitarist.
He is Alex Salibian, a professional musician and music producer. One of the
producers of Harry's first album, who also co-wrote some of the songs. He
played with the band a couple of occasions, mainly on tv-shows. But never
toured with them, as far as I know.
And finally about Mitch. He is not bored, just extremely shy. He wasn't
really a professional musician - he worked in a Pizza shop! - before meeting
Harry by replacing someone who couldn't show up when they started the studio
    works of his first album.
I'm pretty sure this Graham Norton performance was one of the first - maybe
literally the first ever - when Mitch was on TV.
He must have been very nervous. Since then he gained a lot more confidence on
stage, but one thing hasn't changed: he hardly speaks in public.
But it doesn't matter. Harry - and his fandom - love him :)

  • @mary_v2023
    @mary_v2023 4 роки тому +9

You definitely need to check out Harry's first album (and his second), you will hear a lot of retro sounds. He's a fan of the older music and artists. The guitarist that you said looked bored, if you're talking about the guy on the right, that's Mitch and he's new to all of this. He's never been in a recording studio and was working in a pizza shop right before all this. The guy that was supposed to come play guitar for Harry couldn't make it. And they had Mitch filled in. And the rest is history. He's a great guy, a little quiet but slowly coming out of his shell being on tour with Harry.

Harry grew up on 70s music. It's what his parents played for him and it's how his tastes developed. If you want to see Mick Jagger moves. You should either react to his St Paul performance of Medicine or him doing Kiwi 3 times live. Those are what cemented the Mick vibes for me.

This is a beautiful reaction ❤️ Mitch Rowland is a beast on the guitar and Sarah Jones is BADASS on drums . Harry’s music is heavily 70’s influenced . He’s a huge Fleetwood Mac fan and has performed with Stevie Nicks on several occasions ...she’s joined him onstage at The Troubadour for one of his first solo shows and also his Fine Line One Night Only show for his second album debut show . He’s definitely got the moves like Jagger lol . “Kiwi” live on The Late Late Show is a killer performance and his cover of “The Chain “ on the BBC is spot on . The list goes on and on with this guy ...you won’t find a bad live performance.

Hey! I loved this video. This wansn't his best performace, actually after he finish singing you can notice how frustrated he is. I think it was one of the first times he performed Sign of the times live if not the first, and even that it wasn't bad at all he completly nailed it in other ocasions. You should react to his performence in London of the song "Sweet Creature", you can clearly hear the Fleetwood Mac influences in that song. Oh, and if you want to hear more of his incredible support band, in his Tiny Desk you can really apreciate the girls who do the chorus, and her awesome drummer in songs like Only Angel or Kiwi

There is so much to discover with Harry...it's hard to know where to start! I'm a fairly new, older fan (there are many of us) and am now obsessed! You should be warned it doesn't stop with just Harry. As most of us newer fans, we fell in love with Harry, then discovered One Direction is so not what we all thought (a teen pop boy band) and are actually more of a rock band and are amazing! Then you'll discover Niall Horan, another musical genius born of One Direction...his two solo albums are works of art, as are Harry's. What a ridiculously talented group of young men way beyond their years! We call it the rabbit hole 😎

They've always said Harry has a super eclectic taste in music - like truly eclectic - and his mom's taste in music is a big influence. A lot of the 70s vibes trace back to her. And I mean, it's not talked about much but if you pay close attention it becomes pretty clear Harry himself is a massive hipster. And yeahhh Harry has gotten a ton of Mick Jagger comparisons because he looks a bit like him (maybe more so when they were both younger) i dont think he shies away from it lol

the sound of the wind is because flying is the theme. He is singing as if looking down from above in the video he is actually flying in the air.Video is dope too.Flying is a motif in many, many of his songs.Yes, he is big fan of Stones, Bowie, and dresses with 70's influences in his stage costumes.

I recommend watching the “Behind the Album” documentary that was made about his first album. It’s so good. There are also performances in it. And it kinda explains his vibe too :)

is inspirations in everything from music to clothing is heavily influenced by classic rock. he pulls from the beatles, the stones, david bowie, and fleetwood and others in a lot of what he does. I'd recommend a full listen through of his first and second albums, bust especially his second Fine Line.

Harry grew up listening to 70/80's music, that's why most of his music is inspired from it :)
