I never comment on music videos. It's like cheering in a crowd. But since Steve actually seems to read these, I figured I'd drop a THANK YOU. I never thought I'd hear a version of this that was better than the original...but hear we are. The studio version is great. The live version is awesome. But this stripped down version is SUBLIME.
Thank you for sharing your music with us. If for some reason you didn't already know it, you have made a difference in the world. You have touched our souls.

Steve Winwood was the lead singer for the Spencer Davis Group at age 14. The Spencer Davis Group released four Top Ten singles and three Top Ten albums in the United Kingdom, as well as two Top Ten singles in the United States between 1967 - 1969. Been one of my favorite artists since I heard "Can't Find my Home."

I'm old enough too remember when FM radio was just becoming a thing. My dad dabbled in "electronics" we had a FM tuner I learned how to run signal thru a tape recorder Amp and put it into some home made speaker cabinets. One night that song came on, it was just like discovering gold. And it's still gold.

No one compares to the musical genius that is Steve Winwood. His extraordinary writing (listen to the prophetic lyrics of this song), his absolute mastery of many instruments, and that voice, combine into the rarest magic. His music has brilliantly punctuated my life for decades. This version of Low Spark of High Heeled Boys always takes my breath away. He makes it seem so effortless. Indeed, he is a genius.

Truly epic...i've listened to a lot of old Traffic, Blind Faith...and this man's voice has not changed in 50 years!
This was one of my dad's favorite songs - he would've been 73 this year. Traffic was a big deal back in his college days (1969-1973) and he spoke of enjoying Steve's music on several occasions.
