I just love the using the stacked double instead of ch 3. Much straighter edges. I also never ch 1 and turn to start the next row with a SC., I just turn and do a SC on those patterns. I wish more tutorials would teach this method. Beginners can always find the last stitch of the row. Thank you so much
Thanks for sharing!
Bonsoir combien faut il de pelotes de chaque SVP.Merci
I had never even heard of a stacked double! I’m glad I watched this 😊
I absolutely LOVE this pattern, it is such a yarn eater I haven’t done a second one
Yours is the first waffle blanket stitch tutorial that is perfectly explained 😊
Glad it was helpful!

Pretty, the texture…I have a cat.
I’ve just used this stitch using stylecraft bambino hopscotch which is multi coloured yarn and the blanket turned out fabulous
❤I’m making it today loved the tutorial 🌹
Hope you like it!
I love your voice!
Обалдеть, как красиво
I always wanted to know how to do this stiotch. I thought it would be hard... jokes mee lol thank you
Hi Michelle. I am about to crochet this one, but i was wondering, when do you start counting the rows on the gauge swatch, please? And thank you
This is so pretty and looks incredibly soft. Can I ask how many chains you did for the throw size.
Hi!!! Nice work! I really enjoy your patterns, I was wondering to make it larger what the multiple would be
She says in the very beginning multiple of 3 plus 1
I wonder, could you do a waffle pattern with bernat yarn?
Have you maasener to looked my work.with .blanket
HOw do you know when you are on the wrong side vs the right side? Love this stitch!
The right side is when you are looking at the waffle pattern. The wrong side is that zig-zig look on the back side. It doesn’t look like waffles.
@@mjsoffthehook Thank you!
How’s your chains for an adult throw?
Hello Michelle. I love this blanket. I was wondering if you are going to release this, into a kit with Mary Maxim please? Thank you.
Yes, it will be on Mary Maxim very soon.
@MJ's Off The Hook Designs Thank you so much. I have a 3 month old baby boy. He was born December 1st. I made him one, then. I would love to do this for him, for Christmas. Congratulations on being a Grandma. How exciting!!!! You made my day.
Can you start with a sc foundation instead of chaining then doing sc?
yes
Avou fazer uma asim linda.
Do I need 900 yards of white and 400 yards each of colored yarn, or should I go with the length in parentheses (1650 yards and 800 yards each of colored yarn)?
For the baby-size blanket, you need 900 plus 400 for each colour. The numbers in brackets are for the throw size. :)
You may have answered this on a different video but why use the stacked double crochet at the beginning of the row?
I like to do a stacked double because it gives a much nicer edge.
❤🎉 l made like your blanket what do you think
I love the hooks you use, but cannot find them using the link in the video. How else can I find them?

I’ve never blocked a baby blanket. Doesn’t it just go back to the first, unblocked shape after it’s washed again??
I have wondered the same thing. Hopefully we will get a response.
It’s a personal preference if you want it perfectly rectangular; block it. Blocking is always optional. Usually I Always block my crochet items back to shape after washing them. Since it is a baby blanket you could be washing it a lot so you may not want to block it every time.
Thank you for responding so quickly!!
This pattern is beautiful!!
I block some items for better stitch definition, it can depend on the yarn, but generally for baby blankets, or anything requiring regular washing, I wouldn’t block.
Capricorn color is not a greenish, isn’t it supposed to be a Garnet color!? Anyhow, I like how Furl’s are using large, able to read sizes on their hooks now. My older ones don’t have it. Jmo
The hook is named Capricorn after the zodiac sign. Furls crochet has a streamline zodiac collection. All of the hooks in the collection are named after a zodiac sign.
Whats the difference between a double and stacked double? Just sounds way more complicated than it needs to be
I do a stacked double instead of a chain. It makes the edge look way nicer and easier to work the boarder with.
@@mjsoffthehook i always do this too - looks so much nicer in the final product than any other method I have tried.
What are dimensions of throw?
The Throw size is 54" x 66"
👏👏👏💐🌺🇨🇱🙋♀️
I am a woman but this name to my son😊
How long does a blanket like this take you to complete? I am in about 15 rows and I have been going at this for about a week. :)
My daughter crocheted this one, It took her about a month❤️
Is the stacked double crochet after that first row just done on that first stitch? And the rest are normal? Or do you repeat that stacked double crochet for the whole row? You’re going way to fast in the video for me😭
You can slow the speed of the video in the Settings (upper right corner) Playback speed. It helps a lot.
