@@notesetter ye each part is well balanced, bassoonists like myself often hate it when arrangers out rly fast passages in the low register due to the amount of air but you nailed it
Needs more rests for basson, clarinet, horn. Only needs to be a couple of bars here and there, but we're not pipe organs or strings. The flute part has good short rests throughout.
Notesetter ye if you take the bbs and cs up the octave it would be good for bc, and for euphonium for it to work you will probab need a compensating valve mechanism but ye good thinking
Boring arrangement. Shift the voices around. Just because a line was played by flute in the band version, doesn't mean it has to be flute here. If I'm a bassoon or horn player on this quintet, I am probably falling asleep around the middle of the 2nd movement.
Great!
Very different color than from an orchestra. Sounds very interesting and nice.
Wonderful arrangement!
My good lord this is amazing
Thank you!

Thanks for the complement! I really appreciate it! Send us an email if you want to perform/record this piece! Let’s see if we can work something out!
Notesetter ye I’ll defo think about it
好好聽,謝謝分享
Medieval music like this sounds better than a lot of music in the classical and romantic period
We are playing sea songs in band and it would be a dream to play this at our concert but we don't have any double reeds
Good arrangement!
One question: did you contact the publishers/copyrightholders before arranging the pieces?
We are based in Hong Kong, which is one of jurisdictions where exclusive rights expires after life-plus-50 year.
why does clarinet never get any love in the wind quartets and quintets 😭always the oboe and flute get the melodies
Real 😭

@@butteredwaffle8017yes but im also a flautist
It barely even gets the part originally written for solo clarinet

What other instruments would sound god on the bassoon part as the range is almost 4 octaves
I think maybe you can play it on euphonium, bass clarinet might just work too.

@@notesetter Mostly doable on 3-valve euphoniums (might have to play some parts up the octave), fully doable on 4-valve
@@nyancs7098 the low B flats and Cs are playable on a low C bass clarinet (which most professional instruments have).
@@calebhilliard5022 ah yes thank you
Do you have a woodwind quartet arrangement?
sorry not yet!
I think there are some wrong notes on the basson but otherwhise good job
Can you point them out?
