Another wonderful arrangement!
Hi, this is a lovely arrangement but just to let you know I’m not sure the melody is quite right in the second movement. You’ve got G, F, Eb, F and it should be F, Eb, Db, F.
as in the 4th bar after rehearsal C?
Hi! He's right. He is referring to errors in the melody in bar 147 (as well as 187 and 245)
Very good, however in bar 14 beat 3, the clarinet should be playing an F, not a G.
Thank you for the correction! We will make sure the score purchasable are corrected!
since its a wind quintet (woodwind instruments) instead of horn in F try using English horn (basically the tenor oboe) which is in the key of F that way there is no transposing to be done if you were to do an alto saxaphone.
Traditionally, woodwind quintets use a horn. If you don't believe me, look up any woodwind or wind quintet ever.
Woodwinds quintet should probably use a saxophone nowadays. That being said, Horn is the standard instrument of the wind quintet
Just use alto sax instead of french horn
French horn blends better. It’s a traditional set up of a wind quintet
that's... not woodwind quintet instrumentation
it's like telling someone to write a string quartet with a harp part instead of the viola. is the harp a string instrument, sure. is that the instrumentation ANYONE shopping for "string quartet" pieces is trying to buy for? not just no but hell no, because **that's not what those words mean in this context**
Well it’s not a Woodwind quintet… it’s a Wind Quintet. Horn is the standard. - A Horn Player. 📯
@@worldof2ndfluteclarinet353honestly I doubt french horn blends better than saxophone. I'm pretty sure if wind quintets were born in the 20th century they would have used a saxophone, but It didn't exist yet so it had to be a horn for the alto part.
