Chris this was so heart touching! I want to admit that I did have tears in my eyes and felt so emotional with your story. You are truly my favourite UA-camr.
Thank you for showing us important parts of your life. I was always curious of how you two met and ended up in Thailand so thanks a lot for elaborating that, your love story is very lovely! I'm proud of what you've become and how much you've done for Thailand and our communities. Keep on rocking! 🌟🌟
This vid was unreal bro. Love the free spirited way of life that you’ve lived. You seem to be a highly intelligent individual and I hope to smoke a joint with you one day!
Truly spectacular; 1974 you must have used a Super 8 to film, this one has it all A Time Traveler, Love, loss, Romance, Adventure! From Borneo to Kuia; the world is your stage Chris! We are in the theater, pas the popcorn!
Chris, you sent pat kra pow into space and helped underprivileged kids in Thailand, so those vids can't be topped, but this is seriously, seriously, seriously up there with your best work! Just fantastic! I felt like I was watching the retro scenes in Forest Gump. Loved it man! Also, thanks for filming in Itaewon. I haven't been in like 12 years and often miss that place.
I woke up on December 11th 2023 and watched one of your Thailand videos, later that night, I booked a flight to Thailand for the 25th of December 2023. I hear right now actually haha! I think you’re a very funny person but this video is inspiring. What a guy

Hello Chris. I am a Korean subscriber who has been watching since your subscriber 300. The story of you, your wife, and Korea comes to you in a special way. Looking at the videos of your youth, it seems that you have been prepared for decades as a UA-camr. I am looking forward to your other Thai stories. May you be healthy and God's blessings be with you.
There was absolutely nothing cringy about your video. It was enlightening and showed how your essence and egalitarian spirit formed during your youth. You ooze sweetness and appreciation for everything in your life. It is infectious and I hope I have caught your affliction too 🥰
Great adult life story Chris. Very interesting to see a snapshot of your journey to this point in your life. Great pics of the old Reggae Pub and the crew.
This was absolutely brilliant!! The way you transitioned between your old videos and the current video was a work of art almost as if 20 years ago you knew you'd release this video. Brilliant! Keep it up 🙏🏻
I just back from Bangkok this afternoon, was hoping to meet but of course knew You are in Korea now. Next time buddy for sure. Love your life story. Slightly similar how I ended up in Bali - funny you never been there as we talked once hehe. See you one day somewhere. And of course more vids like this!! Ps. Watching no matter where you are guys

In 1993, I had recently graduated and backpacked Europe, as you had said, there wasn’t much going on in the job market here. It triggered my love of travel. It was great to see your cross Canada clips as it put some images to the discussions of cross Canada travel we had at our lunch here in Toronto last fall. Hope you are enjoying memory lane travel. I just dropped my daughter off at Trent University today for her next journey and mine as well as an empty nester. Cheers from Acton.

I LOVE the Korean videos! Please continue making them. I went to Korea for my honeymoon along with Thailand. We really enjoyed our experience there and want to go back!
I have followed you for a year now, I am inspired by you to travel now that I am retired. Since I have been old enough to understand that there was a world out there past the end of my street I have dreamed of southeast Asia. That dream was a lifetime ago (now 55 years old) and I was booked to come last year but covid stopped that. I will be making more plans to come there and you have helped keep my dream alive with your story telling. Thank you
Wow, Chris! Your story and video chronicles over the decades are brilliant. I don't even know where to begin, but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this video. Maybe it was a bit of me relating to the Korean culture and my childhood since my stepmom and sisters are from Seoul. Or, maybe it was seeing your personal transformation and ending up with the love of your life. Regardless, this video was wonderful! AWESOME VIDEO I met my husband on the boat to Koh Samui in 1989, he was from the US and I was Canadian we partied many many nights at the Reggae Pub and three years later we went back and got married on the beach. You brought back a lot of memories and it was so cool to watch you, we are here now and sad that the pub didn’t make it. Cheers Chris
That was a great story. I am glad you have shoeboxes of pre-UA-cam films/memories! I am Canadian but I fell in love with Thailand in 2019. When I retire there places like South Korea are definitely on the agenda.👍🍁
That was great. I enjoyed hearing your story as well as the walk around Itaewon and ... Haebangchon? In the scene at 7:24 where Chris is standing in the middle of the street there is (was?) a Burger King off camera (behind the person holding the camera). That was the Burger King where an American soldier murdered a Korean university student. True story - I was at that Burger King the night before the murder. Even used the bathroom where it happened. It has always been kind of eerie to think about.
Great video and a moving story. Years ago I came to a similar conclusion: Embrace the cringe! Studio Art major, lead singer in a punk rock band, father/husband at a young age, I look back at those awkward passages and attempts and as uncomfortable as it makes me I came to realize that as clueless as I was [am?], I was sincere and building up the layers of paint, pencil and stone to become a slightly-less clueless version of myself. I see a similar formation and sincere--sometimes cringey--attempts in your early life and I see "a straight line drawn with crooked strokes" to where and who you are now. Love it! Keep up the good work and keep on pushing and expressing yourself. BTW: I am a graphic designer/illustrator and still married to my best friend! My lines could not have been more crooked, but it appears they were pointing in a straight direction, too! Cheers & Safe Travels!
Chris, I remember seeing on that beach near princeville kauai in 1998 I was living there at the time. I have had similar paths. I grew up in Hollywood. Had a apt on the corner of sunset and king rd. Crazy drugged out parties every night. Woke up one morning when I was 23, decided I need to do something. Bought a one-way ticket to Kauai and lived on the beach with my girlfriend for six months. It was paradise back then. Got my life together went back to LA, stopped parting and just devoted myself to working on great movies. Moved to Thailand in 1999 meet a thai beauty and married her four months later. Great video and story Chris. Looking forward to more.

Wow excellent video. Thanks for sharing.
What an amazing story Chris. Pook and I have just put one out showing how we got together and ended up living in Thailand.
I had just flicked your video on and intended to pause it and go take a shower. 16 minutes later, I was transfixed, couldn't turn it off.
Great job Chris and looking forward to seeing more of the archive 👍
Thanks for sharing this, yes love to see more of your earlier footage.
First time commenting, been a sub for a while. Always appreciate the story telling aspect of your vids and I like everyone love to see all about Thailand you can offer. Don't sweat the Korea-focused vids. I think they're great. I learn and experience from a distance and I appreciate that. It would be interesting to see some of your old stuff comparing wherever you are now to the way it was then.
thanks a lot for the nice comment Jeff!
We are the Hardcore Core!

Yes, it didn't pass the smell test. Now the telegram acct name has changed and it no longer has Chris's details - the 24 hour period has now been mentioned lol. We'll, at least I have a telegram acct now...
Thanks for the heads up.
Wow this video is amazing and very inspiring. I’m in my late 20s and feel like I haven’t adventured out enough. I went to Thailand back in 2016 and wish to come back again. I appreciate this video a lot! Thank you so much for sharing 😁 I’m also from Canada!
AWESOME VIDEO
I met my husband on the boat to Koh Samui in 1989, he was from the US and I was Canadian we partied many many nights at the Reggae Pub and three years later we went back and got married on the beach.
When I retire there places like South Korea are definitely on the agenda.👍🍁
great call, Thailand is the perfect base to explore Asia from!
What happened with Lucas & Vee your boss ?
LOL! Really enjoyed that...I use to go to Seoul in 1980-83. I lived in Japan and did my visa run. It was fantastic. Itaewon
was amazing..
It has always been kind of eerie to think about.
oh wow, that is some good insight there Scott
Thank you for sharing your videos from the past. Love them. ❤️🌈
you did more by 28 then i probably will in my entire life. hell of a story man
Best video to date. Very interesting story.
The waves in Hawaii, look amazing. 🏖️🏖️🏖️
That was the best call you ever made calling Haley to meet you halfway in Hawaii . Just awesome 👏
indeed it was.
Nothing in this video made me cringe, I enjoyed every minute of it!!! 🥰
I’v seen your video clips several times before and this story makes me begin to follow you. Your life is so interesting, what a colorful way of life!
I just couldn’t stop smiling…. That made my day Chris… fantastic mate 🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏
What a great video Chris,Thank you for sharing this with us.🙏👏👍👍👍👍
my pleasure!
Hey there Chris. Really enjoyed the show. Natural born story teller. Giggled along side you with the old footage. So much fun. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
More old videos! They are really great! Nice to see the spots
Thank you for sharing your inspiring life adventures.
I don't know what else to say apart from what an amazing video! Thanks Chris.
Much love
Wow, thank you!
