Nice channel and content, I recognize the background music from our favorite channel. We find a lot of similar items minus the muskrat spears but definitely not on fur trade sites like you are. I can only imagine an early pioneer out in those woods trying to score a meal by using those two muskrat spears & missed. They went to try & recover them but couldn't find them due to the brush & had to leave them behind. That's probably why there were two laying next to each other. Cool video & content. I noticed a double headed Hand Forged axe head in one of your pictures I know those are quite rare any info on it
The picture with the axe head wasn’t found by me, was one of my buddy’s. But yes quit rare not. I haven’t found any like it from the area.

I enjoyed the video but I would like to offer some constructive criticism. I would recommend you do less talking and focus more on the finds as such. You tend to repeat yourself a lot. I realize that you are new to this so I know that eventually you'll get the hang of it. I subscribed and I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Keep up the good work.

That small piece of copper could be off a rattail copper point. I have a rattail copper point I found. Looks like it. My rat was found in Waukesha Co. Rk.

It may be possible that the small copper piece was part of an Indian necklace or decoration on clothing?
Would have to be very deteriorated, in my opinion was either a copper pounding produced in the copper pounding process. Or a small awll that the ends deteriorated over time. Either way it’s weathered. Either way It is a good to know that there is OCC in the ground!
I really hope you plan on getting in the water at that sight.

@@richardklapka5147 and yes, dug the belt axe there last fall, have another site as well that’s right on the water. Going to be a lot of water content this summer. Might be a learning curve, but I’m sure I’ll get something nice!
Greyson... a pet peeve of mine is "gold gilt". Gilt/gilding... that IS gold, and only gold. There is no need to say both words. Just gilt is sufficient.

Now that I have that off my chest (LOL!)... I am so envious of your sites! I'm across your western border and while I've tried to find a couple of trapper's sites in my 8 years of detecting, I have not found anything that I can say for sure is from them. (I'd have better luck if I were further north, for sure)
That’s for the info on the gilt… lol. I will have to do some research on that. I appreciate it, takes many of hours to find a trade or OCC site, it’s even more difficult to get the finds on video with the excitement!
