I'm pretty sure Simon would suggest just one comfortable putter and one neutral midrange, if he was allowed. That's what any disc golfer that cares about you would suggest.
I would give the Origin to any new player without a second thought! It's flippy enough to bail a beginner out of some early releases, but not so much that a good shot is going to turn and burn. It's also great for teaching hyzer flips. I've been able to experience a couple folks throwing their first one and nothing hooks somebody like seeing a disc dance around in the air with control. The Origin feels magical when you nail the shot just right.
I am building mine little by little. I have an C-line FD that i cant play without also have an Origin and mind bender!! I ordered the black mystery box when it dropped & cant wait to get it! Cant wait for the season to start.....both you guys stay healthy and crush it this year!!!
I like watching these videos to see the variety of discs a manufacturer makes. I tell beginners to start like I did back in 1981. Get 1 to 3 discs (putters, and a midrange) learn those discs before getting anything faster. Of course in 1981 we didn't have many discs to pick from, so it was easier then.
I recently aced with my new c-line FD. It was a 75 meter heiser throw. Looked good out of the hand then I heard chains and saw it in there. Been playing discgolf for like 1.5 years.
I started playing discgolf 2021 october 30. and played with random discs. Then i started to realise i need better discs and bought discs from local shop and I knew who was eagle and got inspired to play because of Him and bought cloud breaker the og one and after a year I've filled half of my bag with discs from discmania. I just love the way how the discs feel. Discs in my bag: Cloud breaker(og) Cloudbreaker (new type) Cline DD3 Cline PD Splice Cline FD Old Cline FD 7 6 -1 1 Sensei Rainmaker Love you DISCMANIA
The Astronaut is where I learned how to hyzer flip. Also, finally decided to get the Essence, or Zen 2 to be exact, knowing it would burn over for higher arm speeds. I was wrong... its become one of my favorite tree gap hitters for 300-400 par 3's.
I got the discmania black mystery box, it had 4-5 of your choices in it. I wicked happy with it. I stuck all 10 in my bag, replacing several old disc's, and played a game with them today, didn't miss a beat.
I got that same bag 🎒 for myself just wish the top load was a bit deeper so you can zip the top when you have 2 disc's in but really it's such a great price for a bag I really don't care cheers. Love every disc you put in the bag will get the kids to watch this so they can here from you two instead of me haha. Funny notes when Simon almost put the back pack on Like a baby harness. (Always thinking dad without realizing it) near the end Simon looking around like there's got to be something else. Then finally when Simon looked like he was gonna pass it to eagle and Eagle had a look like that one person who is scared to hold a baby when everyone is visiting a new born. Cheers again love when you guys do stuff together hope you both have a great upcoming season and to the rest of discmania team and workers same thing. Sad to here Leon leaving. Good luck to you and your new path, hope its not a grass looks greener on the other side.
This was very thougt-through and Simon knowing all the molds helps really a lot 3:00... It feels more like they recommend everything that isn't too overstable. Although the new FD is nothing but beginner friendly
Definitely saw some discs I’d love to try as a beginner in this video. Really enjoyed hearing the reasons on why they would work out for newer players like myself. Great video.
The advice of starting with mids and putters is so right, but so hard to follow....the temptation is always there to use a fairway or distance driver to get that extra distance.
This is great. I got into disc golf during the pandemic and the building the bag videoa paul/brodie did is reason I throw a lot of discraft. Nice to see you guys doing it for discmania
This is actually a great bag for beginners. So often people are suggesting speed 10/12 discs as primary drivers for beginners. But foe beginners discs over a speed 5 fly much more overstable than the flight numbers.
Looks great that bag! 👏 I like that Eagle & Simon build a bag for a beginner or amatuer. Mist of us is. I have done many mistakes bought discs for a bigger arm speed. You should give the bag & discs to someone. If not me to someone in USA. I am from Sweden & I see the most disc golf tournaments on youtube. Have Bern fun to see Linus this year. I love your way to play Simon. Your vlogg with all trick shots & aces! 👏 Eagle your amazing power. I hope you get a season without injuries so you can perform at your best. You are both great players! 👏
I know this just posted, but I wonder when this was filmed? Could it have been when Simon was in Colorado toward the end of last year? I think that if Simon is going to move he would do it in a honorable way for Discmania. Of course, if this was just produced, it could be assuring the audience he is staying put. 🤷♂️
I started playing about 10 years ago. Back then it was Innova and Discraft here in southern Louisiana. I hurt my Shoulder at work about 7 years ago. I stop playing becaus of this. My shoulder is better now. I decided to start palying again 2 years ago. I choose Discraft beacuse i rather the disc i had back then over Shitty Innova. With Mcbeth going to Discraft at same time. I have been Discraft 100% ever since. Because of me watching Lizotte all the time. I have decided to buy the Christmas Mystry box. I just went throw them this past weekend. I got the MD1,Logic,Tailor,FD,Magician,Splice,Method,Enigma,And of coarse the DD1. The MD1,FD,Tailor,and Enigma are in the bag.Awesome disc and glad i decided to get this mystry box. I will buy the Tactic to see how it works. I throw my Zone alot. so would like to see the difference. All the plastic is awesome feeling. The FD and MD1 are by far my favoritedisc out the disc i got.
Can someone explain to me more about understanding your arm speed/appropriate disc speed you should use? When I was starting to play I remember someone gave me a Ballista Pro and I literally was like I don't know if I can throw this. Their response: Ignore disc speed. So time to learn.
I only have two discmania discs in my bag. The essence (my favorite disc) and the Shogun. Recently the shogun knocked out my dd judge (primary putter for almost 3 years). Everyone should have an essence.
My base plastic Genius was anything but understable, would say it was 0/2 compared to the premium that is maybe -2/1. Seems the cooling really does a number on PLH on base plastics. Even after I smashed the rim it is barely turning lol
except for the mystery box, I don't think they are released yet. I agree however, the tailor is a must have disc for any level player. bagged mine immediately and use it every game since. straight flyer.
I love Discmania discs. I really do. But when Simon grabs the C-Line FD and says he likes giving newer players lighter plastic, but sadly the FD doesn't have that as an option... YUP. I lost my old 165 C-Line FD and was bummed that in the new Originals model you can't get it under 170. So I use another brand's disc for my dead straight stable fairway.
Lol I've been throwin sense 2019, and honestly tried most brands but DM is my fav, got 3 red mystery boxs and 2 black hahahah, but I've got all but 2 disc of 30 in my bag are discmania hahah, wish they would've thrown an enigma in there, or an MD3. Otherwise not a bad bag :)
Arm speed is key. Beginning young players, with on-line form coaching, will progress rapidly and out grow this bag as speed increases. Old guys like me, noodle arms, could play that group forever and be happy
This is sad after yesterday. 😔 I feel like this was super difficult for Simon, going through all this plastic he won't be throwing. It's like he's looking at old photos.
I hope discmania starts showing Kyle some love. He's one of my favorite pros so when they announced he moved up to the sky team I was excited to see more content with him. Don't get me wrong, the Simon and eagle stuff is ok, and it's clearly what most of the discmania fans want so it's a smart move. To me it seems like discmania is holding themselves back by relying on just these two so much. Just my take.
MVP bag, dynamic disc putters , innova midranges, lat64 fairway drivers, that's my bag setup.. a variety of stuff based on feel and what i have liked while bag building.... discmania and discraft discs never felt right in my hands(any of the plastic types) .. will admit i once had a discraft towel and discmania hat
I have: Two putters Mako champion midrange Overstable and understable fairwaydrivers Stable fairwaydriver Distance driver Overstable distance driver What should i get now?
Naturally, get them all Discmania 😻 But seriously, sounds like a pretty decent bag! Maybe get a few of the same discs so you'll be able to practice more efficiently?
Should have put a link in there. Newbies need to give beaded putters a throw. Plus the link is amazing. Also, why wasn't this a giveaway video? Made the crush boys tour the factory for nothing! Haha
As a beginner myself, can't agree with this approach although I understand it well from the business perspective (and this is essentially an ad, so..). IMHO, a beginner should pick one recognized putter (in DM case, Link, Logic, Sensei, P1, P2, etc.), doesn't matter which model, but get 2-3 discs not in the cheapest plastic. Then one negative or 0 turn midrange mold, and maybe one fairway driver mold, 2-3 discs of each. Pros can talk all they like about how comfortable the different discs feel, yada, yada, but for a beginner, all discs feel the same and, according to my possibly wrong impression, none of them feels really "comfortable". You simply must get used to holding them, especially using things like power grip, which I find very uncomfortable still (except with distance drivers, which I personally don't see any use for.. yet). The thing is to have multiple discs that fly the same and perfect your form using them. Which molds they are is pretty much irrelevant.
Eagle: Picks any disc faster than a 7 speed
Simon: dies a little inside
I'm pretty sure Simon would suggest just one comfortable putter and one neutral midrange, if he was allowed. That's what any disc golfer that cares about you would suggest.
Swear Simon shook his head when Eagle was talking about the Mentor, and then he basically turned and started to walk away…
Eagle is trying to help sell discs!! Lol
Simon picking up the P1 is like the "its Corn!" kid! :D
That moment made me so happy
This comment made me so happy
I would give the Origin to any new player without a second thought! It's flippy enough to bail a beginner out of some early releases, but not so much that a good shot is going to turn and burn. It's also great for teaching hyzer flips. I've been able to experience a couple folks throwing their first one and nothing hooks somebody like seeing a disc dance around in the air with control. The Origin feels magical when you nail the shot just right.
Can hear the emotions in Simon as the memories hit walking around.
Great tip Simon on Mid's and putters. Eagle nice suggestion on the under stable drivers. Beginners will be able to take a lot from this video.
Simon is leaving discmania because eagle put distance drivers in the beginners bag
exackly why the fuck are there a mentor
😂😂😂
That's rude AF but one of the funniest comments I've ever seen on UA-cam 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣
I love Simon - "Putters and Mids".. there's something to be said about starting slow. Have to agree!
I am building mine little by little. I have an C-line FD that i cant play without also have an Origin and mind bender!! I ordered the black mystery box when it dropped & cant wait to get it! Cant wait for the season to start.....both you guys stay healthy and crush it this year!!!

That's how I got started. Although I started with ultimate discs, my first golf disc was a dx shark
I recently aced with my new c-line FD. It was a 75 meter heiser throw. Looked good out of the hand then I heard chains and saw it in there. Been playing discgolf for like 1.5 years.
Excellent ambassadors for ANYONE getting into this amazing sport! AWESOME!
Simon better not leave! I understand family first and money talks. Thanks crush boy

Discs in my bag:
Cloud breaker(og)
Cloudbreaker (new type)
Cline DD3
Cline PD
Splice
Cline FD
Old Cline FD 7 6 -1 1
Sensei
Rainmaker
Love you DISCMANIA
Great selection! Thank you for the love!
What I need is Eagle's hat, please produce these!!!!
Totally agree on the Origin. I bag 2 and I don’t think it will ever leave my bag.
Perfect first pick. I use the Essence over distance drivers often in open spaces - with a hyzer flip, it can just glide...
I wish I had all this info when I started playing 22 years ago 👏
I love the MD1 so much! Best disc of all time without a doubt!
The Astronaut is where I learned how to hyzer flip. Also, finally decided to get the Essence, or Zen 2 to be exact, knowing it would burn over for higher arm speeds. I was wrong... its become one of my favorite tree gap hitters for 300-400 par 3's.
I've got an all Discmania Bag! Loving all of it!
That's great Keinan!
Same here... DD1, Enigma x3, Splice, PD, FD3 (seasoned color glow), Essence x2, Royal Rage2, FD, Method, Mind Bender, Origin, Mutant, Razor Claw3, Soft Tactic, P1, P2, Soft Link, Logics for putting
Love throwing those discs, need a mind bender definitely ❤
Hey Florian! Mind Bender is indeed a great version of the MD1 👍
All kidding aside..if Simon goes to MVP he's exactly what they need as their social media content is miles behind the other top manufacturers.
I got the discmania black mystery box, it had 4-5 of your choices in it. I wicked happy with it. I stuck all 10 in my bag, replacing several old disc's, and played a game with them today, didn't miss a beat.
Thx! I have loved Iron Samurai 4 now at winter temperature. Just Can't wait for coming summer tracks!
Gotta get me a Mindbender also!
damn simon to mvp confirmed i guess
I got that same bag 🎒 for myself just wish the top load was a bit deeper so you can zip the top when you have 2 disc's in but really it's such a great price for a bag I really don't care cheers. After throwing the Mind Bender for a round it instantly became my favorite disc. Immediately bought 3 more as replacements if I ever lose it.
Love the mentor! First distance driver I got and still my go to
This was very thougt-through and Simon knowing all the molds helps really a lot 3:00... It feels more like they recommend everything that isn't too overstable. Although the new FD is nothing but beginner friendly
Innova dx cobra. Fantastic midrange for beginners. Feel like a roc in hand so transition is easy
Definitely saw some discs I’d love to try as a beginner in this video. Really enjoyed hearing the reasons on why they would work out for newer players like myself. Great video.

Love to see an in the bag 2023 for simon and eagle!
All DM Grip EQ Bag here with a nice blend of simon AND eagle “in the bag”. 💪🏻
Great video! 🎉
Would love to get this bag for a friend
Also the tips from Simon and Eagle probably can be essential for starters
I miss Sensei in active plastic. It flew straight when I was a beginner and it still does 1.5 years later.
Simon waving Bye in the thumbnail lol
This is actually a great bag for beginners. So often people are suggesting speed 10/12 discs as primary drivers for beginners. But foe beginners discs over a speed 5 fly much more overstable than the flight numbers.
Love it have not even heard of some these disc's and to have the crush boys pick them out is awesome loving my mind bender thanks guys 😋❤️👍👍
I keep trying to get that shirt that Eagle is wearing but it’s never available.
Otherwise, great video.
Looks great that bag! 👏 I like that Eagle & Simon build a bag for a beginner or amatuer. Mist of us is. I have done many mistakes bought discs for a bigger arm speed.

You are both great players! 👏
My phone want to write on Swedish. 😂 So a few crazy words but I think you understand?
Mist should be most. Bern should be been.
Love it can't wait to watch you guys on tour
Love the essence. I hyzerflip it 400ish on golf lines. Super fun thrower.
What a great idea for a video!🙌⭐️
My bag is starting to become discmania more and more.
I have a unique overstable Essence, glidiest disc ever and a purple Mindbender md1 which is the best mid I've ever thrown.
Love the video. A great learning tool to start to making a bag
Love you guys, great to see you in the off season! Wishing you the best in the new year!
The mind bender and Zen2 are the two best discs on the market. Hands down.
Good choices!
Dudes! Have Discmania add all those boxes of discs to stock so I can buy them!!
Great solid starter bag. You'd be pretty successful with that bag on most local courses
Hey can we cool it with "beginner" terminology? I've played 20 years, I'm decent, half of these are in my bag.
I know this just posted, but I wonder when this was filmed? Could it have been when Simon was in Colorado toward the end of last year?
I think that if Simon is going to move he would do it in a honorable way for Discmania.

Love the advice. Great job you guys. I love all my discmania disc really love the fd and instinct. Keep crushing boys

Is this the last CrushBoys video?
@10:00 learn with understable Putters mids

I just got both mystery boxes so I may be able to make a full disc mania bag when the black box shows up.
Drop the Astronaut, add in a Tailor - like a putter feel but easier distance.
except for the mystery box, I don't think they are released yet. I agree however, the tailor is a must have disc for any level player. bagged mine immediately and use it every game since. straight flyer.
Great job guys
How do you get a beginner bag set-up and how much?
I wonder if all these discs will be max weight?
A Mentor with dome is money! one of my go to discs for max distance.
Made my first ace with maestro.
Nice job! Congrats!
6:30 those look like C-Line Tactics in the background 🤔
A really great idea :)

I thought for sure y'all were going to give that bag and discs away at the end of the video. womwom.
I throw a logic super soft always grippy even when wet😜💯

after few days your comment will be gold... and you will find out why :) Yesh more Kyle content :)
@@jarnoronkainen75 I hope it’s not true
I'm confused... is Simon doing a building the bag video for MVP as well?? lol
Origin love! ❤

I bought a huk timber C-line Fd and im a little dispointed because it way too overstable for me

Definitely expected there to be a giveaway at the end there.
Awww Simon putting together a bag for Kyle to use after Simon leaves to MVP.
Yes I would like to into the competition to win the beginners bag
Great vid
You guys should have made one for advanced players to!
If you get this bag, your next purchase should be a PD, especially if you live somewhere the wind blows every day.
SIMON TO MVP!?
Huh for me the splice is perfect for 550 ft hyzer flips through straight gaps
Darn was hoping they would Field Test them.
I don't like my Origin, it doesn't glide at all for me. Now I feel triggered. Need to get out and make it fly somehow.. 😩
same here.
Literally, just go with the Evolution Line.
True, one of each Evolution disc gives you a complete bag.
I just started disc golfing and I have like no good disc's
i need too 😢
Get them to sell a few more discs before they both leave. Smart.
Team Discmania 4 life
As a beginner myself, can't agree with this approach although I understand it well from the business perspective (and this is essentially an ad, so..).
What is all this talk about bags and whatnot. I came here to wildly speculate!
