Amazing stuff, thank you for the honest review!
Bought the P1S as it has a little more to it and was only $100 more
Good video, sold on this setup.
amazing video, are you interested in reviewing Fixdry products?
Sorry, but i really dont have a use for filament driers
Cura is probably the least intuitive slicer there is.
Good video
i know, its just what i started with
I agree with you besides that for the price of the P1P there is hardly anything out there that can compete with the option to upgrade with AMS.... that is my only argument for getting a bambulab. But i would not get an X machine not even the P1S if i was a beginner. The P1P is an amazing scaling machine for newcomers.
Being a newcomer to 3D printing and starting with the X1C was a little daunting but once I got the hang of it quickly fell in love with the tech. That said those prints you made will look like complete trash once you really understand how to control everything. My first prints were all really poorly done because not only was I new to printing but didn't know what needed to be done to get flawless results, but as time goes and the more you print the better your skill set gets. My current prints make my first couple months prints look amateur league learning struggles so I'm not criticizing but letting you know they only get better from here on out.
I started with a robo 3d 9 years ago. These things look like masterpieces compared to my old prints lmao
What a great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Interested in the AMS unit. I print alot of stuff in black petg. If I had the same colour filament in the AMS will it auto change if 1 spool runs out? That would be really handy for me.
Yep! Its a feature in the bambu studio software to auto switch filaments when it runs out if you have the same color in another slot
i went overboard : BUYS 100
>.> i mean...
Glad you like it, but to be honest I think this IS a great device for beginners, because I lot of things is done for you and is less of a hassle. That seamless starting with printing is what makes it great and especially for beginners, I know it's a bit expensive compared to a low budget 200 euro printer, but for beginners it's a lot to swallow having to level it with knobs, etc. I absolutely hated my Ender 3, I did not have patience for those adjusting hells I went through (I suck with it), If I didn't go with a Voron, I would have probably stopped with it altogether.
P1P is a nice machine, I can see you are really happy with it :-)
about the buildplate adhesion, I think you are using the smooth side of the plate? I think I've seen in other video's you can (or are supposed) to use glue sticks (I think it's included also) for a better adhesion.
Will be recieving my Bambu soon, can't wait!
How is it going with those filament that the device poops out, I see some nice figurines however wouldn't things like that cost A LOT LOT filament? or did you do something to minimize?
I just think at times too much streamlined work can remove teaching moments for new people in the hobby. In just my opinion, i like when you have to tinker with the machine a tiny bit to learn from it.
I've had that thought, that wasnt the issue. Both sides have the same texture and i tried that print on both sides to see if there were any flaws. With the old beds, you had to use glue stick. But with the gold textured pei sheet it isnt needed anymore. I really think companies need to move past needing glue sticks to solve adhesion issues.
The filament poop is aweful on multicolor prints. Non exsistant in nornal single color prints though. I still have to tune my slicer settings, but there are ways to reduce the waste for sure
@@Chriss_Workshop Actually while I do 3d printing for about 6 years now, I just recently started to use glue stick. However, just a bit of glue stick and then whiping the whole bed with isopropanol 70% (not 100%) until you can not see it anymore. Once every 10 prints. It helps both the adheason on PLA and the release of PETG - and it is extremly cheap. I used aqaraprint printafix before and started gluestick just because I acidentaly let the bottle fall to the floor. However, using it and 100% isopropanol is more comfortable so I will change back soon. But I am amazed how good gluestick realy works if you use it right. In very smal amounds. I am always a bit schocked if I see theese beds totaly smeared with gluestick. More does not help more.
@@oleurgast730 Wouldn't IPA mean it will dissolve the glue stick perhaps in a negative way? I use just normal a bit moisture water until you don't see it anymore.
@chris Yeah when teaching others it's indeed important to know about different machines, but for buyers in general it's not that much required IF they go for a machine that does it itself and has no way to do that anyways.
Have you played with 'wipe into infill' option (not sure what the name is, my bamboo language is different), it will flush the multi colored waste into the infill, in some cases it can help a lot I think; I did see some tests where they were like it does not help that much, but that was for a single small model... Received my x1c yesterday, so have not tested it myself. Did it help you much?
I dont really like using any kind of adhesive. Plus like i mentioned in the video, it was only towards the edges i had issues. Im a firm believer you should only need to clean the bed. Some IPA or dish soap and hot water should be all thats needed to clean the bed so it sticks well
It doesnt really help. I also have only done small stuff in multicolor due to time constraints
