Thx for the video! The issue I'm running in is baking at all as a keyframes. Because it all looks great in preview but in render the motion is different.
Been trying to figure out how to use this to make an tail and eel for months, and you solved my major problem in under 6 minutes. Easy to follow, and straight to the point, thanks! Also, are the circles only used as visual aids, or do they help with actual dynamics and rigging?
Thank you! The circles are in the same place as the bone objects, they are used as controllers to tell the IK rig where it's bones should be pointing to. The bones are used to move the "skin" and the nulls/circles are used to store the IK rig (that makes the bones bend like an arm or leg). Keeping these separately makes it easier to adjust things and fix bugs.
great tutorial, straight to the point, love it.

This is amazing

Awesome ! How do I bake this dynamics into keyframes ?
This is very helpful. Thank you. Is the project file for this available to play around with?
Thanks! Unfortunately not for this project, but if you follow the steps in my tutorial you can make one of your own ;)
how have you done a lot of them ? like it was reaaly fun tutorial
if you want to copy it multiple times, there's an object for that called the "cloner object". It should be somewhere in the toolbar. And thank you!
can the dynamic respond to collisions
collision detection Isn't built in, but it should be possible to add it to the tentacle with a collision tag.
hey man this does not work anymore on r25 any updates?
