    I was thinking blocker bet or check call on 9 set. Don’t know about all in as you are only getting called by better considering the board texture.

    Massive overplay with 99...hes never calling with 2 pair or a set to that size on that runout...block bet of 60 to 80

    • @MacksBet28
      @MacksBet28  Рік тому

      Most definitely right. I clearly made two pair fold. And another flopped set is maybeeeeee the only hand that I beat that would call since ppl have trouble letting them go so I agree that 60-80 gets that call. He'd be getting around 5 to 1 on a call and feel obligated to call and "keep me honest"

    On the AQ hand she is an EXTREMELY aggro player and speaking from experience she could have just about anything there. Very player dependent but remember her, you'll thank me later 😉

    Pocket 9s hand block bet is best option. If he’s folding 2 pair to your shoves then shoving is the worst option since you’re likely only getting called by better. He might even fold sets on that run out.

    • @MacksBet28
      @MacksBet28  Рік тому

      I agree 👍🏾 I think I probably just wanted to rip the bandaid off and jammed instead of targeting a hand that I could beat. Going all in targets hands that beat me 🤣

    At about 5:47 you have a set of 9s and you ask what you should do when the river completes 3 to a flush. You should do the following - "Bet enough so the villain calls with his weak hands and raises with his strong hands." (1) Betting will deter him from bluffing. (2) If he calls then you probably win the pot and make more money. (3) If he raises then just fold. That is how you handle these situations.

    Mac - AQ - I get caught in that a lot too OOP continue on the flop, get called. Do you continue on the turn if it blanks - low stakes, slim stacks, calling station - I know it’s situational but should we just be giving up on the turn if we miss
    KK - the old man donk lead on the Ace high flop 😂😂😂
    99 - I like the check raise on the turn, but you led the flop, if you lead the turn, does he 3 bet with 2 pair now?, and you get the stacks in there maybe? I would block bet the river but it worked out.
    QQ was fine. You bet small, less players a check is fine.
    Great playing as usual & great blogging too.
    Do you feel like you are playing better since starting this channel? Everyone & the mother is now a poker vlogger - but what I have noticed is similar to Brad, Neeme, & Rampage is that you can really pinpoint your play and present yourself with different options given the situation. Keep at this buddy.

      @MacksBet28  Рік тому

      Well first thank you for the in depth comment. Starting with the aq hand you're definitely right when shallow stacks should just put in one small cbet and if they call and unimproved should just check give up.
      You right but if I bet 30 it'd be so disastrous if he just calls. At least that's what I'm thinking. But maybe I coulda went polar and bet pot on the turn which woulda been 125 more than my check raise woulda made stakes a little bit shallower for the river all in. Or maybe he spazzes and goes with his two pair! Everything else was pretty standard

      As for the playing better the vlog has allowed me inside the midsets of so many poker players and getting so many different outlooks on how to approach the game. And in the process of editing you're force to continually think about a hand so definitely think it's a helping tool for sure. I learn so much from people every video. Just like I learned from you 💯

    • @MacksBet28
      @MacksBet28  Рік тому

      Yessir that was the option I think is better. If I block he'll probably call with two pair on this board. But all in only limits a fold or a call bya better hand... only maybe another flopped set woulda called an all in and I won on this runout

    Perhaps a check call line with the set of 99s is better. The only worse hands that call might be set of 7s and a set of 2s, both of which probably raise your $25 bet on the flop. If so, no worse hands logically should call. That said, the bet is fine. I play at MGM and have seen all sorts of crapy 2 pair and even a non-believing A8 call in spots like this, so getting paid by a worse hand happens (but at a fairly low frequency--maybe 10%).

    Respectfully, 99 hand, over bet on river is very bad. You are not getting worse to call, likely not getting better to fold and lost value against hand he had. This easily could have been punt of your whole stack turning this into a losing session.
    I think you were reflexively betting instead of asking what does bet accomplish. I think this is clear blocker bet / bet fold situation.
    I think you are a very good thinking player but this is just one hand to study. I think the original problem in hand is you don’t raise preflop. That then compounds through hand making each street harder and harder for you.
    If you raise to 50 preflop, you are probably heads up with position and that will make playing this hand 100% easier. Even if button calls and you go three way, larger pot size will force you to play better.
    If new player three bets preflop, you can fold and then watch to see if he is three betting light in more hands.
    I have personally found that most of my worse hands post flop are due to misplaying preflop.

    • @MacksBet28
      @MacksBet28  Рік тому +1

      I agree 💯 very detailed analysis ty for taking the time. You definitely right. I seen the worse river I could dream of and didn't what to do so I chose reflexive aggression instead of really understanding that the the hands that would call and I win against are extremely limited vs the majority of hands that call and have me crushed
