Jesus, six minutes in before they even play a song, that has to be a record. I know they just fuck around and secretly laugh about charging people $1000 to come to these shitshow acoustic gigs but six minutes of fucking around at the start of a 37 minute gig (16% of the total time) takes the cake.

Cher Cher Paul was to me the greatest front man in rock history. He's lost his edge and its ok. He's in his 60s now its expected. Stick to classic KISS and enjoy a great experience...

Nice catch and you’re right, but I don’t think it’s a reason to point it out as if the guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. That’s how it is. If your guitar was half a step lower and somebody said “Give me a G#” would you immediately go for an open A chord?

I do have perfect pitch actually haha. And of course it's for Paul, and I mean there's nothing wrong with that, I mean to me it doesn't sound the same, and it doesn't sound as good in this tuning as opposed to their original tuning but it's still KISS. I get that Paul's struggling I mean he's been singing and belting for 45 years, it happens.

As a musician myself and a kiss fan this type of performance if you can even call it that, is a double edged sword. On one end, you're basically charging for a rehearsal session which is cool when you are getting paid to just mess around but on the other hand it's risky when you Clearly have musicians that don't practice (except for Eric, who is so good he catches on fast) outside of the normal set list songs. Because you come off amateurish and slightly disrespectful to the fans who paid to see a performance but only got 4 guys lazily messing around

+Frank Patek I just wonder why he keeps on doing it, his voice clearly has deteriorated so much, and that is perfectly understandable due to how he was pushed it for decades. I don't know what kind of beef Stanley had with Eddie Trunk, but Trunk raised quite a few points over this problem.
Matteo Prezioso I assume because he loves it...I love what he's done, he totally influenced my music and writing, but I can't listen to Paul's voice anymore.
Frank Patek I agree, and I really meant no disrespect. But when this gets blown up out of proportions, and all you read online about Kiss is Stanley's vice gone, well you can't just risk their legacy and all that.
Maybe he should address this problem, and at least take a break. The guy's been screaming for decades for christ' sake, there is an obvious reason behind all that.

Drummer is not terrible but they need ace and they need to tune a step down so the notes can be hit without straining to try and hit them. They can't hit the high octaves anymore and they need to realize that. I like kiss and I personally think that if they did tune down for live performances they would sound a lot better and the crowd sizes would be even bigger than they are!!
Ace Frehley wants nothing to do with Kiss anymore... so stop saying they need Ace. Ace has been out of the band longer than he was in it. Eric Singer is more adept for this kind of music than Peter ever was. Peter and Ace are part of Kisstory so let's move on shall we?

For the amount of money that people pay for these acoustic shows, shouldn't the band be a little more prepared? It seems that half the show was them throwing picks and asking 'Whaddya wanna hear?', then throwing more picks and playing something else.Perhaps a set list?
Paul Stanley specifically emphasised in his autobiography that these meet and greet VIP sessions are FOCUSED on performing requests from the audiences and he was happy that Tommy and Eric managed to learn ALL of KISS songs to be able to play right off the bat (although I still consider Tommy the most HORRIBLE of KISS guitarists in all these years and I personally saw him live f**cking up half of original Ace solos during a set).
That said, I would like to see some of the commenters singing random songs from 46 years' discography right away, perfectly and without any hoarseness. Really, Paul Stanley is in pretty good shape as compared to the majority of 60+ year-old legends who can't even sing their own 3-4 best hits in the original key.

Go watch a bunch of them on UA-cam. It’s always the same basic songs and they screw around with a few others in a lame fashion.
Paul's voice was shot even then. Eric and Tommy carried him on a few tunes.

This needs desperately to be said... Kiss should have taken a lesson from Rush. How you present yourselves is just as important as every other element in a group. Rush was never interested going on shows like SNL or TV in general because they couldn't present themselves properly.... i.e. proper sound check, light show, stage setup etc.... I mean once in a blue moon is cool but Kiss does this type of appearance all to frequently and it does affect your rep and brings you down notches.
Used to see Geddy playing in clubs back in T.O., working hard even though the place would be half-empty. Rush deserved their position in rock; and they didn't have to dress up like cartoon characters for people to appreciate them.

Stanley's voice is SHOT and it's pretty easy for him to be funny for a group of people that would pay to hear him fart into a microphone. They all look frumpy and bored. Eric's playing a kit appropriate to his size. It's all pretty lame. I'm a big fan of the early days, but this is an embarassment to KISS and to rock and roll.

Eric & Tommy are a part of the Kiss family. Yes the original 4 is what we will cherish and love forever. But Eric and Tommy have earned their place in Kiss. Great musicians and wouldn't have anyone else to fill those shoes of Ace & Peter.
Peter is a miserable curmudgeon. He is also the least talented drummer in KISStory.
