Thanks Glen, great assembly video. We have a mix of hiveiq and paradise boxes and they interchage well. The all-round profiles on the hiveiq boxes are a big improvement because you can jab your hive tool into any side to lever boxes apart and also scrape off resdue around the profiles both which were prone to damage in the paradise system. The hiveiq system is impressive and their setup in ACT where they manufacture is equally impressive.

I'm traditionally a dipping and oil paint guy, but need to finish some supers in a real hurry as running out of boxes. I'm thinking of water based paint after dipping in bondcrete (PVA) sealant for your bathroom. Question is what paint, is there a 4 in one. What's best buy. The PVA is apparently an old school alternative to dipping, has a fungicide in it too apparently and can make a pine box last 20 years. Old school multi gen beek from Inverell told me this but never tried it yet.
I have contacted HAYMES paints to discuss different issues like yours.. they have been most helpful In product info.. and cross usage.. give them a call
@@yugmartreb7722 I'll be paying extra attention next time I'm at a paint shop to see if they have it. I recall a discussion with a paint shop employee about the new water/oil based paints on the market, wash up in water but apparently a cross between. Sorry too vague to know the type name.
@@livingadamman7994 I asked for paint suitable for bee environment - Haymes put me in contact with Head office and an employee who was a Beek. That is the type of service that is lost with the rest of " Modern Australia"..
