Gaurav as an Uttarakhandi, living in Uttarakhand as a tourism professional, I hate to say that nothing has changed, and Sand, Land and Alcohol mafia still rule the roost!
My home District Pauri, still tops in migration and Ghost villages. While the planning might be with a good intent, nothing seems to the worry of Beaurocrats sitting in posh houses in Dehradun without a clue about remote areas.
The shining example of this is the Commissionary of Garhwal has not seen the face of the Garhwal Commissioner (last seen in Pauri in the 1990s). The massive District Hospital too is being run by a very few Doctors (3 - 4 I think) and everyone is referred to Dehradun Hospitals! There are thousands of other reasons for migration that are unlikely to be ever addressed! I keep my fingers crossed for the day when demographic changes (by the peaceful community) will turn our state into the next Kashmir! God save us Pahadis🙏

Recently the people who own sports cars, are moving to Arunachal Pradesh. This will give a major boom in Arunachal Pradesh's economy. Things are changing but will will take time
