Hi! I just wanted to comment that the product "Young Nails ProteinBond" is actually the primer, not dehydrator, and the product "Orly Nail Tip Primer" is to chemically etch the nail extension. Like you said, the dehydrator is to clean and dry you nails and the primer is so the gel adheres to the natural nail better. That's probably why your nails come off so soon! I would say you do need both a dehydrator and primer to get your sets to last! If you don't have actual nail dehydrator, acetone or alcohol can be used.

The ph bonder is primer as well it does not dehydrate the nail. U need alcohol or accetone to dehydrate .
