If you want to know how much money your going to make when doing Seafood processing or seasonal work. This is the video for you. Instagram : AriesTraveling
On news this morning they said snow crab season was cancelled. Alaska is fastest warming state in country. The crab population is down 90%!!! They figure going north to colder water. Is that what's going on with the rest of the fish? I heard it was a super slow season last year up there.
I worked at peter pan Valdez and my checks were none short of 2,800 bi weekly i didn't miss a day of work even when count came and slowed the season for the week no fishing but if you didn't work that means the work ethic was low hard workers are working while others are sitting quitting and bsn around
When I was in KingCove, I was one of the very few people who would work. It had nothing to do with work ethic. It had everything to do with only getting 1000 lbs of fish a day. There are many people who where hard workers and didnt work for 2 weeks in that time and many articals talking about it as well. In fact, if you look up PeterPans closing they talk about this as well. I have no idea what you are going on about with work ethic when the company itself says they simply didnt have enough hours and I question your involment in seafood processing if you didnt know that
Sry man i can't give you a answer because I don't want to say one thing and it happens and you bring home nothing. We had a pay cycle where some people only got 500$ that's why so many ppl where quiting

Im trying to work as a seafood processor and i dont see any with housing available right now. Is there a way that you somebody can help me find a processing job that has housing? Know whos hiring rn or anything?
@@captainmann5759 what location? Also, are you on a ship or at a processing plant? I might be going to Alaska with OBI seafoods this June-September for the summer season and just wondering.
I went and worked for silver bay in sitka Alaska. And made 198hours in 2 weeks made about 4000$ and took home 3200$ the more you make the more they take.
@@Origami_Riverhell nah that ain’t worth it. Wtf. Leave your home and go live in Alaska and deal with fish from sun up to sundown? I make about the same if not more in the oilfield working 60-80 hours a week. But I can go out to the casino bar restaurant, go visit family ect.
@@Origami_River They pay $18/hr and time and 1/2 overtime. You want to claim 9-10 dependents on your paper they give you for taxes so you get all your money. I did and IRS never said nothing 👍. I only knew to do it because they told me 😂
Hey brother i did a contract with silverbay i heard the season was slow so let me come home early, now Peter Pan offering a contract should i take that knowing I'm in need that/A contract the money. Could really use your intell.
The thing I never liked about Peter Pan is they don’t give you hours. The best companies to work for that have the most hours and best food and living conditions by far have been North Pacific Seafoods, and E&E Foods. 12 hours minimum guaranteed.
Is there a time when they stop hiring? I mean, is there a cut-off time when it's too late to apply?
What sea food job that your phone will work at ..
My basset hounds hate the smoke alarm, change your battery's lol
Thank you! 👍

Got a gig with AGS in Naknek this season🤙🏻
Good luck, I heard it’s a closed campus there and won’t allow them out of the property
Naknek is naknek. Even if the campus is open, there ain’t much to do.
@Brian Marzan ill be there this season as well
How was the food doing processing?
Food sucked. Even restaurant food was only okay on the Island.
Is there a way we can talk more in depth 1on1
So they let you take a day off?
You can take a day off
So on the slow season what would be a range? 7000-9000??

Not hating but from my experience Peter Pan has always been the worst and slowest Alaska job I ever had

West Texas oilfield paying more than this for sure
It is but it depends on the job
