Also, after George has destroyed a target, you can long press down and he'll search for a new target in the same area. Saves you having to look and short press up repeatedly
Soaking up some tutorials jam packed with detailed information and then watching a good dummies guide and demonstration is helpful. So much depth to this aircraft. Looking forward to more!
Cap - I think it's important to add that there are some special options that will need to be done for the trim. Going into the main options > Special > AH-64D. By default, the CYCLIC/PEDALS TRIMMER MODE is set to "INSTANT TRIM (FFB FRIENDLY)" which will cause the trim to be changed when you force trim up, but unless you instantly let go of the control adjustments, your controls will be further exacerbated. To prevent this, you should change that option to "Central Position Trimmer Mode" with both CYCLIC TRIMMER MODE and PEDALS TRIMMER MODE. - I recommend to pin this.
If you use the "Central Position Trimmer Mode", you must always center the cyclic and pedals after pressing the trim button. Otherwise they get stuck in position if you don't let them return to center.
I think that with a spring centered stick, the best option is to select INSTANT TRIM (FFB FRIENDLY). This way you can adjust the trim on the fly by keeping the trim button depressed, whereas the setting described in this video needs adds the trim correction to the aircraft until you release the stick, which is incompatible with precision manoeuvering.
I'm not a DCS helo guy but I have to admit, I've been enjoying this addon more and more as I play it. I just wish there was a trim reset button like the UH-1 has.
Thanks for your Guide - i always loved your tutorials because they were in-depth enough to get it going but not overwhelming with too much detail and processes. I was craving for an AH-64D tutorial from you so badly.

@@elliesanders885 Yeah. I'm new to this and don't really know much about it but what I do know is for me all 3 offer something different which has been a great help.
There's an EZ Trim setting in Options>Special that avoids the big jolt while pressing Force Trim. It sets the new centre to current position, without moving the control input relative to the new centre.
It's always Dummie Guide first, then actually playing the module, learning where things are by hand, then reading the actual manual after you get used to it for more info.

Trust me the TEDAC is best controlled with a PS4 Dual Shock or XBOX controller. Frees up your HOTAS controls for the stick/collective controls (which do have some correlation/redundancy with the TEDAC controls)

Great stuff. Only thing I still do not understand with the aiming is the box. Why such a large box that does not ever line up with the target reticule? From front of back seat it is just a random box size on the bottom of the HUD or TV screen.
The "aiming box" is really just a way to inform the crew about some of the weapons current constraints and settings, large box is LOBL (Lock on before launch), small box is LOAL (Lock on after launch. If the box is solid you are within weapon firing constraints and can fire with just the 1st detent of the cyclic or TEDAC LHG but if its a dashed outline you are outside constraints and can fire with the second detent of the controls but will most likely not hit the target. The reason the box is off to the side is to ensure that it does not clutter the sensor image as to aid the gunner in keeping the sights on the target. Crew coordination and following the line on the TSD which represents the gunners line of sight as well as having the TADS image repeated on one of the MPDS in the rear cockpit can also help with weapons usage.
