On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

I swear that when GS selects his loadout, it's just ALL the Hellfires!
I mean, that's how Apache doctrine is like. It's either all hellfires or all hydras and they fly in a 2 ship with one with hydras for short range and one with Hellfires for long range. One distracts while the other shoots. It's incredibly rare nowadays for one to mount both, except in maybe training sorties

Some of my favorite content on your channel has been missions where you're teamed up with Casmo, either as a two ship of Apaches, or with one of you as pilot and gunner. There were a couple where you guys teamed up to crew the Hind together. Those were dope.

I know it's outside the scope of any DCS video, but much like the "sidearm" I could see a SEAD version of the Hellfire as a defensive measure for armed helicopters.
If you try to do it yourself you'll understand that this landing was great !

GROWLING SIDEWINDER, I love your videos brother! I like the fact that you explain things like your movements and the weapons used. Also, the fact that when you use a specific weapon you launch it and move, then you show the actual launch, view of the missiles or chain guns and destruction from that weapon! Then you move on to the next target. I have to say that I love the jets, tanks and other weapon systems out there but the helicopters are my favorites! Could you please do a video on the AH-1 VIPER COBRA GUNSHIP THAT THEY CURRENTLY USE ALSO?! Or do they not have those in DCS at the moment? A video on the AC-130 Gunships would also rock! Destruction from 30,000 feet in the air that they NEVER see coming! ❤🎉😊🇺🇲💪🎇🎆🎯

If you’re already slaved to an area, a long hold down will rescan the area without George reslaving. I used to constantly do short up presses before I figured that out.

When asking George to scan an area with multiple targets, does he prioritize threats in his list? I'm not familiar with all the threat names of anti air etc yet.
He puts AA threats at the top, then armour, then logistics

Great video. I just got into dcs since I treated myself with a quest 3 for xmas. So far learning to fly the A10 while in the trial option. It's been quit the experience, but I noticed I get sick whenever I bank the aircraft around. Was wondering if I should try the apache when my a10 trial ends? Hopefully I won't get so sick learning to fly helo's compared to jets.

Is there an option for a hellfire to send it in a straight trajectory and not in a climbing one ? I guess climbing is good if you are behind the cover shoot 6 missiles and then only to come up after some time to lase the targets. And for sure tanks do have less armour on the top but I think there should be an option for near target attack to shoot the hellfire without climbing.
Hi, how do you manage the collective ? i got a HOTAS. should I control the collective with my throttle ? as far as I know the "engine throttle" of a chopper is always full power and in dependency of the collective the chopper sinks or climbs - or am i wrong ^^

TADS? Press the VID button on the MFD and select TADS as the source. You can select wide, medium or zoom on the left hand side and then press TADS on one of the buttons at the top and it will hide all the menus and show the TADS as the gunner sees it with the symbology etc

Nope not atm. Probably won't be for a long while...
Not going to happen says ED. Stinger has never been on the D variant of the Apache. I think only some export variants have stingers.

Is it always known as the ah64d apache if it doesnt have the radome above the rotor? Or is that specifically the longbow
All AH-64's are Apache's, but not every Apache has the Radar Dome. The dome itself is the AN/APG-78 Longbow radar, which is where the "Apache Longbow" or "Longbow Apache" name comes from.
The way I think of it is Apache + Longbow
Any AH-64D Apache can be fitted with a APG-78 Longbow radar, then it was sometimes called the Apache Longbow.
