Pin this comment! Here's what I know of Naji's respiratory tract infection. Normally it takes 1-2 weeks to heal. BUT it takes around 14 to 21 days on average to make sure that symptoms no longer manifest. So do the math. Has it been 21 days since Naji missed time due to illness? I think the earliest we can expect Naji to be fully healthy is Jan. It would be weird if he's still sick by then.
I feel for naji. Me and him are going thru the same thing right now. Need all our breath. Move around too much and we're on 10% air. Idk what this is but we'll get thru it.
If naji is not yet fully healed, he only returned the game against okc cuz pj was out... like damn, the big impact naji has given the mavs... i mean without him in that game, it was supposed to be a blowout win against okc! Naji pls come back soon and healthy... mavs need you 😊
There’s was a new respiratory virus going around Dallas. My son and one of my daughters got it. Comes with a nasty rash too! I’m thankful we were able to keep my 8 month old from catching it!
Glad to hear you guys are ok! I feel like every year theres something in the air that goes around and we just assume its the common cold, but I always felt like it was worse
Last game was one of the dumbest mavs games in a while. I was talking with my friends about my theory that Kerr and Kidd met up before the game to come to a mutual agreement that neither team would play defense
Crazy idea, maybe it’s just because they had 3 of the greatest 3 point shooters of all time playing. Possibly the greatest curry and possibly the second greatest Klay Thompson 😂
Both teams couldn’t miss. I’d rather watch a game like this than Houston vs OKC. Some of you Mavs fans are genuinely the worst most negative fan base I’ve ever seen in my life.
As for Maxi, the simple explanantion is that he's done. There comes a time when your body can't keep up anymore and you know your pro basketball days are over. Unfortunately it's time for Maxi.
He’s sick and has a something bad with his rib, feel bad for him, hopefully he recovers, if he doesn’t get traded and can come back with no setback I still think he can contribute.
K but you don't know a damn thing about the man and his situation other than extremely superficial outsider observations. Do you realize how common it is for players to have long slumps and then find their groove again to revive their careers? Everyone just deciding for him that he's completely washed is only going to help make it a self-fulfilling prophecy. He's not THAT old, so long as he can still move his feet and hit a 3 then he should be able to hold down his spot as a backup 4/part-time small 5. Dude has been on the team since the Dirk days, and has been hugely instrumental for this team over the years as a glue guy; call me sentimental but I'm just not going to be flippant about wishing they'd toss him aside.
Maxi getting too much press bro was cool for a year or so but his ceiling has come and gone his time is over. I wonder if Philly would trade the French guy I can’t think of his name.
Covid would be my guess. We don't know his vax status but it affects different people differently so a wide range in the recovery times would be normal and on average hits much harder if you aren't vaccinated. And we currently have King anti-vax on our team... just saying... but this round of illness seemed to hit our team particularly hard. Should be fine in a bit
@@ajvhanstupidest shit I’ve read all day lol Poor guy probably got at least 4 boosters smh I’m excited for the truth to be exposed loud enough for the CNN viewers! Kyrie, myself and many others are owed some apologies…

In a fairly close game against the GS, it might have been Naji in the closing lineup rather than Klay, obviously for defense purposes. Overall, Klay was never the closer. It was Naji/Grimes or even Din. Klay should keep his hot streak but be ready to ride the bench again in the clutch once Naji returns.
Klay hasn't even been all that bad on defense for us recently. And considering some of the important shots Klay hit for us in that one it's a weird time to wax for Naji, Grimes, or Din over Klay
People like Michael Jordan , Larry Bird, Dirk Noqitzki played through injuries, illnesses (including the flu). These modern players are wimps and aren't dedicated. IMO
Maxi is always good in the playoffs ( unless his shoulder gets dislocated ) however, I’ll never understand the 30+ million dollar contract they gave him. It’s not like anyone else was bidding, he has no business to be second string on a good team.

Both teams were coming off 4-5 days rest and both teams have older stars. I think they just had fresh legs.
Especially considering Golden State was 3rd in defensive rating prior to last night.
I think Maxi is dealing with the basketball version of Final Destination. Injury is going to keep coming for him until Jason Kidd stops playing him.
What I don't understand is, he was having games off cause he was sick, but still rocking up to games and mingling in with everyone. Seems strange.
something must have damaged their immune system. Well not Kyries... he clean.

no, they said he was actually quite sick, not just a cold.

I think the "injury" is for don't get hurt on the court so we can try and trade yuh

Have you ever had a respiratory infection before? Because if you have you would know it’s no joke. Messing around with your breathing could kill you

You see nobody doing 6th man things like Naji? Okay, i guess you've never heard of Payton Pritchard... Keep it real homey.

Pritchard just hits threes. Naji hits threes, defends the other teams best player , rebounds , brings the ball up, runs the offense etc. naji all day
