I love that this is recorded from far away. You get a real sense of the enormous size of her voice, even with the weight loss. It's incredible.
Much better than her studio recording.

pardon my french but I can't believe Maria had the balls to sing this monster aria live. I'm blown away... I might be wrong but I believe her life long teacher and friend Elvira De Hidalgo had cautioned Maria against attempting it too often. But then again Callas would not have been Callas if she didn't take these extreme risks that ultimately ruined her beautiful voice. Her voice itself is like an entire ocean flowing here. Imagine how clueless we would be about her talent if we had only the studio recordings...

Callas nunca perdeu a voz, teve uma infecção na laringe mau tratada, depois com a falta de ensaios devido a o infame que não gostava deles, chamado Onassis que só soube prejudicar Callas, até em seu último dia a enganando .Que Onassis descance sob os cuidados de Craquem sobre a supervisão de Poceidon, e Maria Callas no céu cantando para os anjos de Zeus, Descance em paz, pois és eterna.
