Sam is such a great role for Richard and the movie is completely entertaining, however, I always find that I have to be reminded of the movie. Not to say that it is forgettable, because it isn't. It's just that Dreyfuss rarely plays such an obnoxious character and the film, because of his character and the situations he is put in, makes you feel very uncomfortable. That said, I think it is a brilliant, overlooked film with one helluva performance by Richard who should have gotten an Oscar for it or at least been nominated.
