I think this is one of the few shows with judges that aren't overly harsh with their criticisms and actually give props to the weaponsmiths.
But don’t know how to test and sometimes judge stupidly
@@jackbashed3494 You are clearly simple minded
That's cause they know the hard workvthat is required to forge a weapon
@@mortysmith2521 it's called being correct, you should try it sometime.
@@FBIAGENT-uh3zm no, it's called simple minded.why not u try.
This show is actually about the craftsmanship and not about humiliating the contestants. I like it!

I'm dead
Addicted to this series
i just got addicted to it cuz its funny to hear him say "it will keel" xd
Sebbern youre not the only one
@Anonymous Anonymous Yeah, they also seem to use way too many effects to make it dramatic, editing it to make it seem like they have little time and such
I like how they highlight one guy's process and critique it all the way through making you think that he is the one that will be leaving the show, but then choose a different guy
Its like master chef, but..... more manly
And no drama, only respect.

I’m 15 and last week I finished making a dirk the first blade I’ve made, I’m proud of it
*plays the bagpipes
Good for you buddy
I'd love to see someone make a completely outlandish weapon just for laughs like a frying pan or something lmao "well josh we asked you to build a knife but looks like you made a battle axe so were gonna have to ask you to turn in your weapon and leave the forge"
I'm pretty sure someone did that in one of the early seasons. The first test is usually to make a blade, and most smiths make knives, but once one guy made an axe. A real gnarly one too, like out of a video game. He made it through the first round, but was cut before the final challenge.
Some one did that, he broke his knife or something in that last half hour or so so he basically just sharpened a bar and turned it into an axe
That second Dirk was pretty awesome.
3:57 Wil is like “Surface cracking? Where? I must’ve missed it.”
Doran really was just messing around the whole time
Ben is a judge now, that’s cool
Nice dog
Did he call himself "Scotch"?! I almost choked on that...
aye first time i have ever heard some 1 calling them self scotch irish
@@chipzz86 it's how you know they've no real connection to actual Scots or our [I'll grant, messy] culture... 😬
"Ben. Please surrender your blade."
"You want my blade??? YOU WANT MY *BLAAAAADEEE* ???!?!?"
[Starts running at judges]
Gets taken out by flying windmill kick from Doug
"I taught Doran everything he knew"
-Ornn
Watching the judges yelling at Dorian to put the blade back in the oil is like audiences yelling at the horror movie characters to get out of the haunted mine shaft.
As a welder for years like seeing iron working shows watch it all the time.
Pretty smart to upload it when Dirk Nowitski's making his season debut.
David: put it back in the oil!
Doran: Naaaaah!
Ben: get it back in the oil!
Doran: Not likin' that!
Ben: that thing is still red!
In fairness, that's the first time I saw Ben raise his voice.
Dont surrender your blade Ben!Fight, lets see how they will take it!!
Between Doug being an martial arts and blade expert, and Bens blade having a crack in the tang, I don’t foresee this fight lasting long
3:53 omg I though that was a photograph of Niagara Falls for a second
wat
how
1000 times better than those crappy singing and dancing competitions 👍
He did well. He has nothing to be ashamed of. It looked a lot better than most first round blades that come through.
I’m not an abs master smith or anything but I make a few knives and I just wanna say it’s common knowledge (I’d hope at least) that the blade should be quenched so it’s cool or close to cool. Not glowing. You should quench till cool not dip it for 3 seconds and pull it right out!
make a giant perfect knife out of a rock hard BALL steel in 3 hours. This episode is going to have clunkers
that one alien guy from Men in Black who can regrow his head
Gotta love all the League jokes
I want to see a Final Challenge of the competitors making a Messer or Falchion.
wtf, i tried to remove the hair
@@omarowo1790 Same
a dirk made of steel, every man dream of that
Dirk is a name in Dutch
And the name of my father 😂🤣
What do you see when you lift up a true kilt?
A Scottish dirk 😏
I guess this is why the Serrated Dirk's wasn't Doran's Blade.
Blade Smith´s . . . why iam crying so ! . . . ABER SUPER GEIL ! 1 Day . . . Thementag . . . 2 day´s . . . During watching . . . /etwas schlafen/ Hammer !!! Steell . . HOLY Moly !!!!!!!

Teacher: your assignment for today is forging a knife
This is the competition where I never hear the judges say the F word.
Not all dark sword fighting knives there was a serious element of chopping
Dirk Diggler. 😂
I like how they are talking about the knife having cracks and stuff when they gave them 3 hours to build
It really depends on how they worked on it during forging. I believe the cracks happen when you hammer the metal too much and it depends from the temperature too while you're hammering. The quench also matters.
The judges here shud switch personalities with Gordon Ramsay, it would only seem appropriate
That guy is a miniature Undertaker.
I love this show... but would like to see the first part to be a little longer to give these guys time to do their magic...
Itd be cool if they gave them like 5 hours instead of 3. Seems like the quality and detail would increase alot.
Wow so amazing
Ben.. your blade, *smirk* will not keelllll
Its Gollum from Lord of the rings 0:59
Do they ever admit tester human error? I've yet to see it. These guys are masters with these weapons and I'm sure that has an effect on the use of it.
they did once, I think it was the spadroon episode.
the subtitles xD "technical swoosh" what the fack is that sir? xD
Судьи как всегда на высоте, ждем интересное шоу!
Poor Ben 😭😭
Thats the story how Dorans Blade was made.
what about dorans chield?
isnt a crack a weak spot in the material? i mean is it the fault of the smith when theres a crack or is can this be just random in the material ?
"Sorry Ben but... it will not *keel* "
Has anyone thought about the amount of knifes and swords these guys have from surrendered blades. They could probably arm an entire army with blades then buy a bunch of guns and then they have an army
Ben please surrender your blade. Decides to stab everyone
Never knew there where knifes named dirk haha, i really want one
How to tell if someone hasn't ever heard a Celtic accent before 1:00
his blade can't keel cause not finished ;D
the time limit thing is the part I dont like. You can have a great artist who just cant crank out great stuff in a hurry.
That’s the point of the show though. The time limit is pretty much the whole idea.
I feel bad for Ben
I love this show!
They really need to re-create video game weapons. Like Mehrunes Dagger from Skyrim
Ben looks like he could be Squirrely Dan's little brother 🤣
That 52100 steel is NOT easy to work. And, it starting as a ball don't help.
I have never forged a blade before BUT I KNOW that I would totally win at this show.
Frank's world well you just heat it up. Press it to shape plus hammer in its predefined shape. Get it glowing hot and quench for about 8-15 seconds. Then buff it out and your guaranteed no metal issues.
@@1014p there is much more than just heat and beat. Like temperature control what kind of steel to use and how to temper it after hardening it. I have learned much just stock removal knife making I really believe in my abilities.
Nice dirk
Thx man
All this time i thought Dirk was german turns out he was scotish. 😅
Dirka Dirka Dirka.
Mohamed jihad.
Mr. Keel make your own!
3:53 looks like mountains and waterfalls
Ben ur blade wouldnt keil bahahhhahhhah
This round is OVER
5 min FULL EPISODE?
Blacksmiths are now cooks? Wow! Time shouldn't matter when it comes to blacksmithing.
Dirka Dirka
It will keel
you got 10 idk to make this go, hey is it time to share uhh idk hey mad you say idk to everything.
How about forging the infamous balls of steel
Sample blade looked like it had a gnarly crack between the first holes.
I love dirk
Diggler?
What oil they used on the quench?
I am still curious as to why in the heck isn’t a dirk in For Honor?
I'd love to see a shorter weapon in that game. It could bring some new strategies, because at the moment you can just boom and zoom and you'll win.
It’s a knife or dagger that’s why
Poor guy he seems so sad
most people watch this show for , dough's slicing and it will keel.
They should teach this in schools along with gun safety
Lol should not be a requirement
4:12
Make a zulfikar
Yapmazlar galiba
@@oguzhanozmen4577 bence de yapmazlar ama denemenin zaratı yok 😏
sounds like the first guy is holding his nostrils idk why
Many of the "Blade smiths" are supposed to have many years experience, and yet they display novice skills such as drilling holes in the scales that don't match those in the the tang, FFS the holes in the tang are NOT GOING TO MOVE. I sometimes wonder if some of these "smiths" are not really "smiths" at all, but picked at random from members of the general public and given a few weeks training for the show.
Why not do it in the original style....no power tools! Let's see who is good enough.
Not going to finish the dirks?
Oh a scotish drik not what i read first.
I want one
Doran’s Dirk
Why is everybody so serious in the show
Funny thing is he is probaly more english than scottish - But americans
tend to not acknowledge their english heritage and just say they are
american. Most White americans are of English descent Or Irish descent .
Irish makes up 30 million americans . English makes up 24 million
compared to just 4.8 million being of scottish descent
Will it keel
Scottie Drik
His first mistake was saying "scotch irish"... its Scots Irish.
