Respect is due, because you respected the steel. Proper heat treatment so it is still a proper working tool and also the redesign to remove the flaws and imperfections of age that would have weakened it. iI it had just been that it would have been a decent restoration. The added artwork just took it to a whole new level. I love it when a heritage piece is restored to it's former use, but when that is not possible due to age deterioration, then turning it into a whole new tool with added artwork is genius level reworking. Thank you for a great video, and for giving new life to an old tool.
Agreed, he's not returning it to it's original state but making it into something better. More a recycling or remodeling of an old item into something amazing.

I came out after work, sat down with my tablet, a cigar and a cold adult malt and hops beverage and when I saw you had a new episode it was the first one I watched. The new shape was remarkable and from one who has worked with thick metal the only way to shape and smooth it is a good file, lots of elbow grease and patience. It was a little rusty. Only the exterior was rusted not the metal wich wouldve left gaps etc.
