Who else ordered one and is now watching videos about the guitar to pass the time😂
Sounds like a plan to me 😎🎸
I've been a Sheraton player and a full-time professional musician for the past 25 years and I've actually been playing Sheratons for a while longer than that. I fit Bigsby vibrato units to all my guitars, as well as Gibson pickups. They're my favourite guitar to play and to collect. In my opinion the Chinese-made Sheratons are the best ones ever produced. They walk all over the best of the Korean years' models, irrespective of which factory made them.
Would upgrading Epiphone pro buckers to Gibson version burst buckers make the guitar improve
@@josephlerz6889 . . Yeah, but there's not much wrong with the pickups Epiphone fit to the new Sheratons. I've left a couple of mine with the Epi Pro-buckers because they sounded almost indistinguishable from the Gibson pickups I have in another Sheraton. I also save the pickups I swap out of the newer Sheratons I own, and I fit them to some of the white Sheratons that I collect. That really made a big difference to them, that's for sure!
@@arthurblackhistoric Yeah I thought the stock Sheraton sounded very impressive, very 50's and incredible, I would leave it stock, I was curious about the burst buckers, but I was telling myself if it ain't broke don't fix it type of thing with how it comes.
They sound cool as they are, a good amp is always the key for a good sound imo
@@theguitarmanifesto . . I couldn't agree more!
Some amps have the uncanny ability to make virtually any guitar sound good. So if they can make a pretty ordiinary guitar sound good, thsy can make a good guitar sound incredible. I'm a Marshall guy myself, but I got lucky when a friend of mine sold me his Fender Hotrod De Ville. That's one amo that makes any guitar sound like a good guitar. The first time I played through it, I used my Gibson ES-355 on the normal gain channel, and there was Billi Gibbon's tone from ZZ Top's First Album right there. I also scored a Marshall Haze 15 watt Head abs 12" Cab brand new, and a second hand 40W Haze for just $300 . . Wow!!! Two amps that definitely suit my style!! Oddly enough the old Marshall 40W Valvestate is another amp I absolutely love. And then there's my beloved Valvestate 8080. I've had mine since 1999.
Great screen saver!! RIP I.C.
Wow that thing sounds great!! Nice review man! 🤘
It's a killer guitar plays as nice as it sounds, thanks dude
The fingerboard on the pro ii is pau ferro with pro buckers
Yes 2018 models onwards
Great demonstration. I had one before in ebony, and I am increasingly regretful to have let it go. Tempted to get another one in natural and have the pick guard removed, so it will minimally resemble the John Lennon Casino.
Thank you 🎸✊
Oh now that's a shame, the natural one sounds like a good plan to me 👌🎸
I appreciate the encouragement, Guitar Manifesto.
@@theguitarmanifesto Would upgrading Epiphone pro buckers to Gibson version burst buckers make the guitar improved
I was pretty surprised at how good the sound was! Beautiful look. I'm guessing this was a fast seller? I actually like the neck pickup with overdrive the best. Your channel really deserves a lot more subs. It's is a lot better than channels Ive seen with ten times more subs than you, and that's no easy feat! Also sent you the phone number via email.
Yeah dude sounds killer just an awesome guitar, it sold very quickly.
Thanks dude the channels getting there gotta share the videos so more people see them, glad you like the channel appreciate it 🎸🍔😎 🇬🇧 ok thanks
Yeah I dig this guitar man good playing too. Love these epi headstock, burst is great. Even the chipLol More chips the better
It's an awesome guitar has a really nice high end feel and sounds awesome, thanks dude
Pretty cool lookin' and awesome soundin' guitar Rob...
it's a beaut of a guitar dude 🎸😎
How hard will it be to remove the pickguard? I love the guitar but that pickguard is not my taste
Very easy 2 screws
The Guitar Manifesto sounds easy enough. Do you leave the holes open or put the screws back in?
@@twabbles1801 leave them open they're hardly noticeable
Great review mate, it really helped me alot with my homework lol, anyway can you please tell me what amp did you use for the video? i really loved your tone with the overdrive (y)
Thank you glad the video helped 🎸👌I use Garageband for my amp with a boss me70
Do you think it can be a good deal the pro version with split-coils? Here in Italy you can find it new for about 580 euros... (about 650 dollars, if I'm not wrong...)
The spilt coil version adds a lot more versatility I'd go for the pro
@@theguitarmanifesto They talk about a build quality even better than the 339 pro... Sounds good!
What is that telecaster in the background?
This is it ua-cam.com/video/jKFhbOB9uHs/v-deo.html
Georgeous looking and sounding guitar Rob, how many guitars in total do you have at the moment?, great playing
Thought bridge position was the sweetest
She is a beaut dude, thank you.
not too many at the moment sold a few on probably about 5 or 6
@@theguitarmanifesto cool, do you have any guitars youd never sell or are you always rotating your stock?
The Deluxe Jazzmaster is my go to guitar for the last year or so, the rest I'm not bothered
Totally great guitar, you got a really good deal. Great playing too.
Yes sounds great like the 2014 i just got, btw i did just take the pickguard off of mine as I read you say down there !! :P
It's a great sounding guitar, looks so much better without it, I'd also be tempted to stick some black fender vol tone knobs on 🎸
@@theguitarmanifesto yeah i was thinking black speed knobs or gold top hatted knobs. When I cleaned the top on mine the knobs almost broken when I pulled them off o.O
Will look much better, ooh good timing then :)
@@motomotoe5123 each to their own :)
Thanks Rob! How does it compare to the Vintage VSA 335?
This one hands down in every way
Think somebody stole that neck pick up from Noel Gallagher hahaha! wasn't keen on the bridge pickup atall tho
😂😂 I quite liked all three positions
@@theguitarmanifesto I was surprised by how it sounded tbh but then again I wasn't hearing it in person but through a smart phone and then headphones. . . .my brother had a epiphone p93 a couple of years back and the quality of that guitar was unreal
Why do some of these have gibson truss rod covers
I've often wondered that
@@theguitarmanifesto found out . It was on old korean sheratons . New 1s made in indonesia use epiphone e. Gonna try get me a 90s 1
The 90s Epiphone are awesome build quality
How's the balance and and balance strapped, it's important details ;-)
Fine 💯
Does it have split coil?
Not this model, usually the pro models
Oh its not a pro model
Does it worth it then or should i go for the pro model?
All depends if you want split coil or not, personally I like just standard pots
How much did you get that for again?
I may have an irrational fear. I always think hollow bodies will warp in the long run. They might need more care. Anyways, beautiful guitar and great jamming.
As long as you don't expose them to extreme cold or humidity they'll be fine.
I never had a problem with one.
It is a really nice guitar with a high end feel, thanks bro
@@theguitarmanifesto Thanks for the reply, bro. Not a fan of the size and design, but maybe if I can get my hands on one, might change my perception.
Yeah it's cool bro I'd still get a Offset over this but a fine guitar nonetheless
This guitar is a semi hollow body, it has a solid center block.
Are the pickups splittable via Push-Pulls?
No they aren't
@@theguitarmanifesto
Thank you. So i get my first guitar with pure Humbuckers tomorrow 😁
I traded it for a first edition Godin jazz guitar without pickups, wich i never played.
Ah nice enjoy 🎸💪
Damn bro that axe is wicked. It’s got a FAT sound.
It's badass bro 😎🎸👌
The Meat Manifesto Will it be staying in the Meat collection?
It's already sold 😂
The Meat Manifesto Wow that was fast! If I come across one here in the States I will be buying it lol
Yeah it went quick not many about in this colour, ah awesome I highly recommend them
Didn't it have coil taps...?
No that's the pro version.
wow ,thats value and beautiful ,,you sounded like oasis at there best.
It is a beautiful guitar has a very high end feel, haha thanks :)
Hi,
Congratulations on the tutorials and your music on UA-cam.
I respect you very much.
I'd like to ask you for advice.
I would like to buy a 335-like SEMI-ACOUSTIC GUITAR.
I have seen these models that over time I will try.
IBANEZ AS93 or AS193.
TOKAI UES78
EPIPHONE SHERATON II PRO
AGSTROM VIKING 2019
Which of these, in your opinion in order of importance, can approach the sound of the GIBSON335 possibly with a PICK UP change (which ones?)
I thank you and always follow you.
I wish you and your family HAPPY HOLIDAYS and a NEW YEAR full of health, serenity, many beautiful things and the realization of your dreams, needs and desires.
Roberto
Nice Joy Division. I have that shirt. Also the guitar is sweet too. It makes some decent sounds. But the real question is..... Does it surf? 😂
I'll pop down to the sea later see if I can ride some waves 🌊🏄 love JD
Who the hell is JD?
Fuck me I'm gonna have to start drawing you pictures 😂😂 Joy Division
In the middle position with the gain up, you sounded just like Noel Gallagher!! No need to shell out $13,000 for his ES-355.
Only cork sniffers will pay that 🤣🔥
@@theguitarmanifesto . . Ha ha ha ha!! Noel himself has admitted that his signature 355 is just the run of the mill model anyway! Why pay eight grand more just for that fool's signature? But that's been Gibson all over . . Anything to make them more expensive.
Noel well up there on that one nowadays 🤣 these millionaire musicians should relate more to the struggles of the working man
@@theguitarmanifesto . . Right! especially when you consider how Oasis weren't millionaires when they started out. I think Noel must have been in the right place at the right time to get his hands on those Sheratons and Rivieras in his formative years. I remember I was accumulating ES-335 copies from pawn shops at the same time . . mid-80s into the early 90s, before I scored a beautiful natural finish Sheraton for just $600. They were going for over a grand new even back then! Oasis single-handedly made the semi-hollow guitars popular, while every other guitarist was playing a Strat.
How many bands can you count in this video? If you guess correctly you win the guitar.
