Beyond beautiful! As a church musician (trombone) and choir member (currently a tenor formerly a bass), and a member of several choirs while at Concordia Chicago, I applaud you all on this performance! Soli Deo Gloria!
Beautiful. This piece of music, when performed like this........really makes me reflect on the Glory and majesty of God, the beauty of the world we inhabit, and the most spectacular of all his creations---man.
We stopped in while we were in the area on our yearly tour. At first they didn't want us to sing at all, then they agreed to one song, then after hearing us, the organist allowed us to stay and played along with us. This experience is one of the most powerful testimonies to the fact that the Holy Spirit can move anywhere. We were able to minister to many people that day, and that was only made possible by the Holy Spirit.
I think the street attire of the Man Choir adds to the power of its message. Beautifully performed, BTW.
Every December I search UA-cam for new performances of this hymn, but keep coming back to this video. That third verse is incredible.
What a stunning performance with amazing control, dynamics, parts and ensemble singing - brought me to tears
