man im deffinetly no expert but I seen other videos and people remove all the old dirt from the roots. dont you think that plant would feel better removing the old crusty dangle berries? im not a guy that says plants have feelings but wow
growing season was ending so it was risky to disturb more roots.i will do full root work in the start of next growing season.Sorry for late reply and thanks for watching.
I have a large jacaranda with a 1.5 diameter trunk that is perfectly straight. Can I put a curve in this trunk with the technique described in this video: ua-cam.com/video/tz3mHx4JElw/v-deo.html You saw out a small section of the trunk 2/3 inch and bind the two open sides of the trunk with wire.
yes i think it will work,but after work keep plant in high humidity for at least 20 days so that it can recover,you can use green house or completely cover whole plant with transparent plastic to create humidity.In my opninion if trunk is already thick you can also do trunk chop and develop upright broom style bonsai.thanks for watching
