I got an 02' RMK 700 Vertical Edge from a friend earlier this year. I helped him buy it from an older guy who jept this thing prestine!
Chaincase was dropped and rolled, big wheel kit and extension done the right way 151" stock extended to 157", port and polished day 1. 2.25" track drilled out for weight reduction, aftermarket can, fox shocks fromt and rear. Tubular light weight trailing arms from Holz racing.
The guy was asking $2500 and we were planning to talk him down, until we saw it... And it came with all of the original parts 😃.
Now I owned it, and took it riding in some fresh deep powder up here in Alaska with some friends. They were impressed it held its own with the newer RMK Assaults they were riding. Need a little more tweaking though.
Glad to see someone else has an appreciation for these sweet "older" sleds.

My 15 year old boy has a 04 700 144, he loves it. We are putting a 162 2.5 on it and dropping front suspension to get it up out of snow.
    He and I are excited.

I may be more excited about seeing this ole bad boy rip than I am seeing the new sleds on the hill. Great vid bud, keep up the good work!

I’m not ashamed to say I’m more excited to ride this than I am anything else I have right now! 😂🤘🏼

Saheen, that device that the carbs connected too on the air box might have been a compensator or adjuster for the the carbs themselves. It looked like there was a knob inside the air box. A few things they would have put in those back in the day would be a Holtzman ATACC, Dial-A-Jet, and there was one more that I can't remember. Basically it helps you tune for changing conditions on the mountain throughout the day.

Unless it was part of the nitrous system?

I believe it is, it looks like a nitrous manifold. I may put a dial a jet or something on it tho! We’ll she how she runs!

It is a manifold for the nos system!

I can’t remember the brand but It is the manifold box for the nos system. BDX I THINK…. Also if you have coolant pressure problems then the head domes are fluttering in the cage and chewing the inner head gasket….that’s what continually happened with mine!

That chaincase magnet is pretty normal, just needs an oil change

I was taught to finger tighten the chain adjuster then back it off 1/4 turn.

Saheen, I have a bunch of jets for those TMX carbs as well as new needle clips. Lmk I can toss them in the mail as I don't have any mikuni carbs anymore.

Also, I can bet you that 440 is WAAAAAY to rich. SLP had me at 390 on a bigbore M7 with twins and here in CO it ran 340-350 mains.

You might run at 400 , seat clip 2 , does it have templfloe set up , use iqr roller adjuster in chain case , check and see if the power valves are stainless

Lars would have picked that sled up over his head and moved it to where you needed it. All you had to do is ask!

Most problematic engine I ever owned!
