I'm always reorganizing and looking for better ways to create a diagnostics bag. Right now I use a big backpack. Unfortunately I don't want to leave my tools in my car due to theft so I bring it inside during the night. Great job on the diag.

I remove a lot of those aftermarket remote starters because of failures, some start the car and leave the car running untill either it runs out of gas or the owner notices it. Others just stop working and bring down the whole car, and other like yours in the video. But people love those aftermarket remote starters even i have one in my car.
💯 I get calls all the time asking if I install them. I say no I only take them out when it breaks the car🤣

Customers have a hard timing when you recommend they get the aftermarket junk removed because it's convenient when it works and it cost them money, they don't understand how much techs hate aftermarket junk 😅

The only remote start i would feel comfortable installing is oem or 12 volt solutions. 12 volt has in most cases an extremely non invasive system
This is one of the reasons i stopped doing remote starters
Remote starters are such a pain in the -backside- . Whenever I see a no-start, I see that huge obstacle in finding the reason.. Half of the time, it's BECAUSE of a broken connection to it. The rest of the time, the challenge is working around the remote.

This was a remote starter, this car does not come with it.
Awesome vid, is this when you first started doing diagnostic by yourself before you got the truck or just bought the bag as a quick way to get access to the tools you use the most

@advancedleveldiagnostics I've been binge watching your videos and trying to absorb as much information as I can, made up my mind to finally buy myself a scanner I got the topdon Phoenix plus haven't had the chance to use it fully yet as my shop doesn't get too many diagnostics but I am stoked to try putting some of the things I learned from you to practice

My blood pressure would rise walking up to a vehicle that already had trim panels removed and wires dangling down….
lol I got used to it.
I can't tell you how many of those junk remote starts and alarms I have removed. If they are not a problem today, they will be.
Ahem…….. I just spoke to the guy who installed it & he said this is the first such type of failure after installing hundreds of these 🤪
