The new 508 has a wheelbase of 2793 mm, a length of 4750 mm, a width of 1859 mm with the mirrors folded and a height of 1403 mm. On the new 508, the grille motif is fully integrated into the volume of the bumper, the patterns are applied in the body color to further highlight this new design. This creates a more modern appearance at the front. The new PEUGEOT logo is naturally located in the center of the grille, as it radiates outward from the signature. The front has a less layered design. This contributes to a more modern look. The beam disappears into the grille, giving the silhouette a softer look.
When viewed from the side, the lively and dynamic appearance of the new 508 is supported by 18-inch diameter EPHERRA aluminum alloy wheels in ALLURE equipment and 19-inch AUGUSTA aluminum alloy wheels in GT equipment. The design integrity of the two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels is ensured thanks to special covers with the PEUGEOT logo, which completely hide the lug nuts. The front, side and rear logos of the new 508 look more modern with new typography and the new Basalt Gray color.
New Light Signature in Rear Design
The light signature on the back has been reinterpreted with a more horizontal and dynamic version of the three claws theme. Sliding and flashing LED technology is used across the entire product range. The logo has been replaced with “PEUGEOT” lettering in dark Basalt Gray running the full width of the central black stripe. This contributes to the modernization of the rear facade and makes it appear visually wider. The new PEUGEOT 508 offers 7 body color options, 3 of which are new. While the new metallic color options are called Okenit White, Eclipse Blue and Selenium Grey, Titanium Grey, Techno Grey, Pearl Black and Elixir Red with its special metallic paint are also among the options.
Interior That Appeals to the Emotions
PEUGEOT i-Cockpit in the new 508 offers even more technology. Equipped with a 10-inch, high-resolution central display, connected navigation, natural language voice recognition, wireless connectivity and over-the-air updates, the new PEUGEOT i-Connect Advanced infotainment system provides an even more advanced technology experience. The new 508s represent the highest level that PEUGEOT has reached in terms of driving pleasure and comfort. Of course, the car is completed with driving support systems that provide safety and peace of mind.
Night Vision: Warns the driver of a possible animal, pedestrian or cyclist in the lane before entering the high beam range.
Semi-Autonomous Driving Level 2: The system, consisting of Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go feature and Lane Keeping Assistant, provides comfort with its usage features from 0 km/h.
HD Cameras: 180-degree vision support and parking assistance are provided with 2 cameras in ALLURE, and 360-degree vision support and parking assistance with 4 cameras in GT equipment.
PEUGEOT i-Cockpit, one of the most powerful elements in the cabin, has been developing and modernizing with each new generation for 10 years. PEUGEOT i-Connect Advanced, the new infotainment system introduced with the new 508, represents a significant improvement in terms of ergonomics, quality, practicality and technology. The compact steering wheel offers a typical PEUGEOT i-Cockpit feature and unique agility and precision of movement, increasing driving pleasure 10 times. There is a new logo in the middle of the steering wheel. It also includes the multimedia system (Audio sources, phone) and volume and volume control buttons. The digital display, located at eye level right above the steering wheel, has a 12.3-inch screen. The digital display can be fully customized and personalized with new display modes (TomTom Connected Navigation, Radio/Media, Driving Aids Energy Flow, etc.) that can be changed via the steering wheel controls.
A central 10-inch high-resolution touchscreen is located in the middle of the dashboard, slightly facing the driver, optimizing driving ergonomics without the passenger having to take their eyes off the road. Below the center screen are piano keys that provide shortcuts to the main menu, air conditioning settings, applications, driving aids, phone, media and vehicle settings. There is a new e-Toggle shift design on the center console. The driver can select the modes of the 8-stage EAT8 automatic transmission with a single touch.
