  • The second video in which I discuss my thoughts on homelessness in Canada. I this part I discuss what I believe to be causes to the growing problem and how we might fix it.
"Until the control of the issue of currency and credit is restored to government and recognized as its most conspicuous and sacred responsibility, all talks of the sovereignty of Parliament and of democracy is idle and futile."
    William Lyon Mackenzie King
Treason is any attempt to overthrow the government or impair the well-being of a state to which one owes allegiance.

The government-college- banking complex in the US is to blame for the housing crisis. We have been sold a load of BS. Young people have big debt and small skills. In Switzerland, only 20% of people attend college. The other 80% do apprenticeships with companies. Not internships, but low level paid work in finance, business, STEM, trades, agriculture, transportation, export-import, etc. The unemployment rate is near zero in Switzerland. Not all young folks should go to college. Starting off with a job and no debt can be done with apprenticeships, real work at real companies for real wages.

Things are VERY DIFFERENT Now in the U.S., The possibility of the Proposed CANZUK Agreement makes the most sense at this point. An open Market (including Labour) between the U.K, Canada, Australia & New Zealand consists of 130 Million people.

Totally agree with you my friend. I live in Vancouver and it is expensive even for middle class and what can the Government do???

+mcdicky Wealthy foreigners driving up our real estate prices is nothing new. It IS the government's obligation to look after laws regulating such things, so my response to "what can the government do?" would be to for them to do their job.
Both the "conservatives" and now the liberals have had ample opportunity to act beyond rhetoric and have not. Likewise the BC provincial government has the ability to intervene but chooses not to. What we have is three somewhat dissimilar political parties all doing the same thing: lining the pockets of their friends and contributors and pushing Canadians out of their homes.

I was born in Burnaby BC in 1963.. today it is over populated, over priced, over taxed, over regulated.. it's becoming a shithole compared to 60's, 70's and 80's.. the thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that we have over priced land when we have more fucking land than almost any other country .. yes, I understand towns like Vancouver, Burnaby etc that is surrounded by ocean and river an a border has a limit of space so it can get very expensive but many other areas have no limit to land space... in areas like that there is no reason to charge ridiculous land price or over priced taxes..

I'm 30 years old and I can't afford a house as a single guy. I'm in England people my age either have to stay in loveless relationships or live with house mates or stay at home with parents. Its getting more and more common for people my age to stay at home. They go to university..like I did or they find girlfriends which doesn't work out....again like I did. I'm stuck! We let more and more people into the country we also have no boarders with Europe so anyone can come and work and they take lower end jobs....which is fine but its tought. Hence me looking at alternative life styles I started following you when you owned your yacht. Problem with england is almost none of the marinas allow live aboards. Something to do with council tax

+scott sanders It sounds like RV/van dwelling might be a very good solution for you. I'm not positive what the seasonal temps are like in England, but I suspect it would be easily doable and comfortable for you. I suggest start keeping an eye for spots where you can stealth camp over night to see if it's possible.

Well I work in marketing and promotions. So I spend a lot of time in hotels while on road shows and working at exhibits. I did almost 150 nights in hotels last year!
Between January and April there isn't much work on so I tend to travel. This year Ive been to Sri Lanka, Jordan, "Palestine", Israel and currently in Cyprus. I fly tomorrow to Egypt then to Turkey on 17th for a week then I go home. It works out as 80 days abroad. Realistically I could rent...but I'm never at home as I'm in hotels a lot of the time, Rent would also kill all my income. ..... I would also have to put up to 3 months rent in advance since my income is up and down all the time. Then for the travel.....I wouldn't be able to!
My aim is to save money when I get back into work then start of next year go to central and south america. When I've done 4-5 months there. Then save as much as I can and buy a house.....to rent out but would need a huge deposit! Mortgages is cheaper than rent in the UK......because people cant save up a deposit :-0

Per the homelessness any where, we need to help with shelter, safe quality shelter for the sake of humanity, to show God we care for his people. I just cringe when I think of any child afraid, cold and hungry through no fault of there own, and no I don't think abortion is any solution, all children are wanted and all people of good will need to really contemplate the needs of homeless, we need lots of experiments to get off the ground and see what works good, not perfect just good, housing is a basic need, well before health care. I own my own home with the bank, but that could change is several months to. Better to help then to hinder.

This is one of those times where I really wish I had been proven wrong. I'll be posting some videos again in the near future; I think I need to clear up some of the commentary on the 1974 bank of Canada act coinciding with the global rise of neo-liberalism.

Feeling displaced? What you are experiencing is exactly what the natives experienced when the white men came. Life is an ever repeating cycle.
