Here's a short, to-the-point video about how I made paddle shifters to work on a stock steering column. This is a mid-80's GM steering column on a G-Body car from 78-88. I'm sure other GM columns are exactly the same so this procedure will still work as long as your steering wheel has enough room on the back side of it to allow clearance for the slipring to fit.

I'm an expert at over-complicating stuff with additional costs and labor to get things to work like I want. I should stop thinking out-of-the-box so much. 😅
