  • 'The Lazy Baetis' is tied to imitate the nymph of the Large Dark Olive (Baetis rhodani). Over the years it has worked very well for me, for both Trout and Grayling, when the Large Dark Olive hatches in Spring, and again in late Autumn and early winter.
If you are interested in how this pattern was developed, you can check out my blog at www.theedenangler.co.uk/the-lazy-baetis/
    Dressing:
    Hook: Size 14 Kamasan B400
Thorax cover: 1.5 - 2mm strip of Black Flexibody
Weight: 1mm strip of Veniard Adhesive Lead Foil
Tail: Few fibres from Olive hen or henny cock hackle
    Abdomen: Olive Awesome Possum
