There's something completely vulnerable and innocent about Lights' earlier work. I wish I would have found her sooner, but I'm just so grateful that I found her at all. Her music speaks to my soul.

Watching this in 2015 this brings me back but this song has a very special meaning to me as well as Lights when I was 16 (3 years ago) I went through a very difficult time with depression and the thing that hurt the most my family breaking apart because of my parent divorcing I remember playing pretend well walking at night around 10:00 I sat on a rock by a creek and cried like I've never cried before but soon enough I got so sick of this pain and suffering feeling I stood up and started walking soon enough Saviour came on and played through my ear buts the walk turned into a jog as the song picked up an reached the part where lights goes all out that jog became a sprint I've never ran so fast in my life it literally felt like these chains broke off me from that day on I no longer suffer from any depression and I learned to deal with the divorce and move past many negative things Lights if you read this know that you've changed my life around so drastically (in a great way) that no action nor words could express how I feel all I can say is... I don't want to get all dramatic, but I think my favorite thing about lights, and another band called kills witch engage, is that both artists pour the same emotion out into their music, it's like passion/desperation I can't think of the right word to describe it, it's just some parts of their songs, like when she says just want to be so much, it's like it's grabbing my heart and squeezing it so much that it can sometimes bring me to tears, too late on making it dramatic
