Vivo X200 Pro HAS BIG ISSUE ❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️😝👻👻👻🤪🤪🤪 Vivo responds to X200 Pro’s major lens flare issue; promises OTA update By Debasish - Oct 24, 2024 Vivo recently launched its flagship devices, the X200 and X200 Pro, with a focus on advanced camera and AI capabilities. However, soon after the release, several users reported issues with excessive lens flares when using the X200 Pro’s main camera, sparking discussions across social media. The company’s Vice President, Huang Tao, has since addressed these concerns, offering insights into the cause and potential solutions. According to Huang Tao, the lens flare issue is due to the phone’s large f/1.57 aperture, which, while improving low-light performance, makes the camera more susceptible to lens flares caused by bright light sources outside the frame (also noted as off-screen glare). The issue is particularly noticeable when light hits the lens at specific angles, causing off-screen glare that appears more prominent than in other devices. This is compounded by changes to the camera’s coating technology. While the new coating reduces typical radial or petal glare, it compromises on handling blue spectrum light, which contributes to the visible flares.

In photography, although I liked some samples from the rear camera on the iPhone, overall, Vivo seems to be better. The selfie camera is a bit difficult to judge. For videography, I would choose Vivo’s rear camera; it’s very punchy and detailed. While iPhone has an edge in selfie videos due to its fine details, Vivo is also good. However, the glare in Vivo's selfies under well-lit conditions is quite disappointing. In low light, Vivo's rear camera stands out, whether in photography or videography. Regarding selfies, neither impressed me based on this video, but Vivo is better.
Thanks, I personally don't like selfies in general and just do them for the completeness of these videos. Front cameras are generally not great anyway. 😉

The Vivo was just consistently better, no hate to iPhone but, the Vivo seemed like it wasn't trying hard too hard, the detail level is crazy, super clean imagine, say what you will about their saturation but the images were just better from them
1" main sensor you mean? Probably didn't want to overshadow the Ultra and keep it at a lower price point. Still a nice effort given it's still pretty large and custom with Sony.
@@GrantLikesTech X100 Pro had 1" sensor as well, so basically Vivo downgraded main sensor on X200P and despite Vivo and Sony say this new sensor is better, photos are not

Detailed and very smooth comparison. Front camera video: Vivo seems to apply a little more sharpening meanwhile Iphone keeps in the natural tone. Also seeing the portrait selfie 1080p on Vivo, I give it Iphone this round. Rear camera photos(daytime): Vivo is known with its strength with the portrait ones and definitely winning with showcasing the subject. I like the naturalish look on the Iphone though with the colors but it's important what mode has been used on the Vivo as there are mainly three different mode(Zeiss, Vivid, Textured). I guess you used Vivid or Zeiss mode. I would go for textured even thought it looks very contrasty. Iphone used to lose big time in the previous generations but I see they're definitely improving it. The details with the crop shows it clearly that Vivo is doing a good job there. With the macro shots, I like the presentation from Iphone and I believe you didn't use the full potential of HP9 periscope on Vivo that you can take amazing macro shots. But without that Iphone annd Vivo goes neck to neck in macro based on the ones you show. With the rest Vivo is coming first especially destroying the Iphone with its periscope camera. Overal winner is Vivo but the gap is closing! Rear camera video(daytime): Iphone is known with its excellent video performance. It's clear the gap is getting closer with Vivo but still Vivo needs improvements. When you start jogging, the details are clearly shown on Iphone and that made it a clear winner for me. Also the lens switch on Iphone is smoother. Vivo is going super fast and then jumping. I hope they're going to fix that. I don't why you didn't record 4k 60fps as it would give us more hint. But with 120fps, Vivo is clear winner. I don't know why Iphone didn't keep the focus on the fountain. Even though Vivo performed better in the last section. The overall winner is Iphone with very little gap. You can also switch from main cam to periscope on Vivo while recording 120fps. You didnt show that! Front camera photos(daytime): Honestly, this is the one I care the least. I don't shoot a lot of selfies. Front cam video performance I'd rather focus. But to choose a winner, I will say it's Vivo. Surprisingly better skin tone and more natural colors. Vivo is still making skin smooth a little. But Iphone looks contrasty so I will say the winner is Vivo here. Front camera video(daytime): Iphone looks better in every case handling the direct sunlight better and skin tone is better. Vivo seems a little shaky as well. With the sound Vivo is clearly improving but there's still improvements needed. Iphone is a clear winner this round. Rear camera photos(lowlight): Oh boy. Vivo is smashing Iphone here. Almost in every photo despite there are clear improvement done on Iphone. The focus is better on Vivo. The noise is handled much better on Vivo. Especially when the night mode is open. Vivo takes street lights and reflections to a next level. But also it's clear that Vivo benefits from the big rear camera modules and their light intake capabilities that you see a slight change with the normal mode vs night mode. Lastly that periscope HP9 module on Vivo, literally the best module available in the available smartphones right now. Especially at night, it shows its magic. Vivo is clear winner this round. Rear camera video(lowlight): Iphone won anything video related so far but not this round. Iphone small cam modules are suffering in low light conditions. There's jittering with iphone. It tries to increase the exposure while blowing everything around. Also the T coating on Vivo seems to be helping with light reflections as well. Vivo is really smooth this time benefiting from the light intake capabilities of the better modules. 120fps is also the same story. Vivo is a clear winner this round. Front camera photos(lowlight): Honestly both are terrible. But Iphone does a better job. i don't understand the manufacturers using high mp cam modules in front. Samsung has solved it brilliantly by using a 12 mp camera which has better light intake. You don't need megapixels in front just trying to squeeze every pixel to even smaller size making it worse. Anyways, I won't go long and chose Iphone as a winner. Front camera video(lowlight): Again both are terrible and noisy. But this time Vivo is again winning it and I'm guessing it's sth with its algorithm handling the lowlight conditions better. Vivo is clear winner. So, if you're social media person recording videos mostly, doing vlogs then Iphone is clear choice. But if you're a photography enthusiast Vivo is the way go. Video recording is not a big issue and Vivo is always known to improve their devices quick with the updates after the release. What a great phone they made! And this is pro version! They're gonna release ultra version in the first quarter of 2025 which is expected to bring 4 rear modules. I'm gonna definitely wait and see the comparison videos with Oppo and Xiaomi's flagship phones.
You've written so much text, but it's all empty words. Watch this moment (13:49), it will once and for all put an end to the dispute between what is better to shoot. Vivo in auto mode made the picture brighter even compared to night mode. This says 2 things: 1. The Chinese are trying to impose on us that highlighting everything that is possible is normal, and it doesn't matter which photo you wanted to take - dark or light. And 2.The iPhone is much more stable and always shows the expected result.
@@matematicainformaticaege ah the dumb people pretending to be smart on the internet... You know the photo you talk about is the bench one where iPhone couldn't even keep the focus on the bench? @@matematicainformaticaege yours shorter and even worse :) The photo you talk about (it shows bench at that particular timing) where iPhone loses it big time. Excellent comparison ! But this noise in the photos of the 16Pro Max... It's not acceptable especially when you start to zoom day and night... speaking of zoom I find that of the X200 Pro is too processed so much that in the end I don't I don't like the result (between painting and drawing) Between the plague or cholera I don't choose either of the two when it comes to zoom! Otherwise, the photos from the main sensor of the X200 Pro at night are excellent. I found the Apple Slowmo 4k120 excellent but the Vivo does even better! In classic video I would say 16 Pro Max but really not by much. Overall on this comparison I would still say Vivo ahead for its versatility in all areas.
In all departments Vivo X200 Pro shown upper hand. Except these 2 things. 1. During Night videography there is some frame droping noticed. But iphone runs smoothly. 2. During day time, opposite sun light there is a flare on lens. But i phone suppress it.

Great video! I feel the daylight video to be better on iphone, however the night video seems clearer on Vivo to me, while smoother on iphone, which could make sense. Photo speaking, vivo dominates in general, although main cam is very close. Some scenes of vivo were a bit overexposed. Side note: this year, main cam of Iphone is larger, 1/1.12, almost 1inch!

Although the Vivo X200 Pro has some noise in nighttime video, it offers a professional camera effect in video that surpasses the iPhone, making it excellent for creating content on UA-cam and social media. Vivo gana 2 a 1 en la mayoría de situaciones. Pero lo que me sorprendió es ver qué vivo gana en cámara selfie y estabilización de video😮. Es impresionante vivo costando la mitad que un iPhone
The nighttime video on x200 pro is lagging , fps is dropping despite the new chip , and UW fov is 119 degrees or even lover , that’s sad. But the telephoto cam is the King for sure
Lens flare is an issue on most phones, especially iPhone. Personally, the whole thing is overblown. It can actually be mitigated with angles and some photographers use it as a creative look.
17:33 la lens flare en iPhone es mucho más notoria y nadie dice nada, claro como es iPhone todos dicen waw. Pero si es vivo con una lens flare pequeña, todo mundo se rompe de las venas
Surprised by the iPhone. It seems to have a much better main camera, I am liking the shots on the iPhone's main cam better than the Vivo. The Vivo has a great telephoto and beats the iPhone there easily
Vivo claims that this new 1/1.4 performs about the same as the old 1/0.98" LYT sensor. But I do not think it's there yet. But for a smaller sensor it does defo have impressive noise handling. Now just give us a 1/0.8 main lense that is the same gen as this new one and that will be it for the $5000 and below dedicated camera market.
Can't wait to see what the Vivo X200 Ultra brings us. Vivo and Zeiss definitely have the camera game down.

Vivo responds to X200 Pro’s major lens flare issue; promises OTA update
By Debasish - Oct 24, 2024
Vivo recently launched its flagship devices, the X200 and X200 Pro, with a focus on advanced camera and AI capabilities.

1:55 all of you saying iPhone this that, check this and look at what Vivo did with the Portrait mode.

Detailed and very smooth comparison.
Front camera video:
Vivo seems to apply a little more sharpening meanwhile Iphone keeps in the natural tone. Also seeing the portrait selfie 1080p on Vivo, I give it Iphone this round.
Rear camera photos(daytime):
Vivo is known with its strength with the portrait ones and definitely winning with showcasing the subject.
Rear camera video(daytime):
Iphone is known with its excellent video performance.
Front camera photos(daytime):
Honestly, this is the one I care the least.
Front camera video(daytime):
Iphone looks better in every case handling the direct sunlight better and skin tone is better. Vivo seems a little shaky as well. With the sound Vivo is clearly improving but there's still improvements needed. Iphone is a clear winner this round.
Rear camera photos(lowlight):
Oh boy.
Rear camera video(lowlight):
Iphone won anything video related so far but not this round.
Front camera photos(lowlight):
Honestly both are terrible.
Front camera video(lowlight):
Again both are terrible and noisy.
You're talking about the exposure yet you don't even know terminologies regarding the photography.
As long as the picture is noise free, having high exposure is sth I don't mind. You can easily drop it. Having high exposure bring more details in the dark areas.

@@matematicainformaticaege yours shorter and even worse :)
The photo you talk about (it shows bench at that particular timing) where iPhone loses it big time. Vivo keeps the focus on the entire bench with extension going till end. While iPhone only focuses on the edge and ignoring the rest and cannot even understand the subject. :)

How do you get the vintage mode on the Vivo?
It's one of the many effects in portrait mode.
Good job 👍
Appreciate it, glad you liked it!
Apple has come far indeed
Video stabilize iphn best
Low light vivo better in every situation
Lowlight vivo
At 17:34 the iPhone flared way worse than the Vivo. What are you taking about they're not fairing out that badly? The Vivo isn't the iPhone is
the audio seems off in iphone in my opinion.
S24ultra vs x200 pro pls
17:33 la lens flare en iPhone es mucho más notoria y nadie dice nada, claro como es iPhone todos dicen waw. Pero si es vivo con una lens flare pequeña, todo mundo se rompe de las venas
Iqoo 13 please
Surprised by the iPhone. It seems to have a much better main camera, I am liking the shots on the iPhone's main cam better than the Vivo.
The Vivo has a great telephoto and beats the iPhone there easily
iPhone main cam shoot in default 24 mpx, not 12
good joke , oversharpening is no quality and information
Thanks, appreciate the balanced take.
well congratulations iPhone

Vivo. Detail
Crazy vivo
Vivo killed it in ALL photos. Some were close or even but some were massively better on vivo
