Good review. So if you live in a more flat area this is a great choice. If you have more hills then the Radwagon is a better choice. I’m also interested in the Addmotor m-81 but the usable cargo rack area in the back looks a little shorter. I need to have two kids on the back and don’t want ones face smashed into my back.
There is also a new one coming out called the M2S all terrain cargo. That one has a slightly smaller battery but it also has shocks and the front basket and child bars for the back as an option, unlike the add motor.
Thanks for the comment and yes, this is a great cargo ebike if you on't live in a really hilly area....and you're correct about the Add Motor cargo ebike, it doesn't look like a long tail.
Thank you for the review!!
Would have liked the measurements of the rear rack and if the bar accessory would fit on the rad wagon.
Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you liked the review. I can get you that measurement. I'm pretty sure it doesn't fit because the RW rear cargo is a bit longer. I actually rode the Flyer yesterday for a bit and I have it sitting next to my RadWagon (that's awaiting tires due to the recall).
Great review! I've recently bought this bike and so far I'm quite happy with it. Do you happen to know if it's possible to tune/de-limit this ebike, so it could go faster than 20 mph?
Thank you for the comment! Flyer doesn't have any info on this and I haven't heard about people being able to do it but I've also wondered the same thing. Since my Radwagon 4 has been out of commission, the Flyer has been my daily cargo ebike so I'll take a closer look at the LCD to see if there is a way to update the top speed.
Thanks for the review! How difficult was it to use a child seat *together* with the cargo carrier? I will need to use at least one seat in the back, but for grocery rides, I would still like to have the option of removing it, zipping up the cloth sides, and having a functional bucket-like cargo space. I am dreaming or is that an option?
This is actually how I've been using it! I love having a giant basket in the back when I need it! Installing/removing a child seat is easy (probably 1-2 minutes). The front seat is easier bc you have a bit more space for your hand to unlock the child seat but it's still easy even with the back seat.
I just wanna know how it works on hills I live near a hills and I want to commute to work (1 mile) but it’s a moderate hill and I’m heavier set I just want to make sure it’ll help riding up
For a short ride and moderate hill it should be fine especially if you're planning on helping by peddling. If you planned on going up steep hills throttle only it would be an issue for you but based on the commute you're talking about it should be fine.
Returning my radwagon 4 because of the tire popping danger
We have a Radwagon 4 but I've been riding the Flyer partly bc of the tire issue (other reason is really like the Flyer). Hopefully Rad fixed the issues quickly for existing RW4 owners.
You should review the Blix since it has hydraulic brakes.
Thanks for the comment Ryan. I'd love to review the Packa. We've been talking to Blix for a while but they haven't sent us a bike but we do have a friend who just purchased one so we may ask to ride it & review it.
Would it be possbile to also attached a bike trailer to this??
We haven't tried adding a trailer but i image it's possible. If you're still thinking of the Flyer, I'd recommend reaching out to them to ask.
Is it noticeably better handling with kids on the back than the Radwagon or are they pretty similar?
Handling wise they're similar but there are some slight differences. In the past week I've ridden both of them with my girls and they feel similar. I do like the larger front wheel of the Flyer bc it does feel like a different (better) center of gravity vs the Radwagon.
