It’s like Troll 2 and Son of the Mask. Troll 2 has some good effects and is laughably bad but Son of the Mask is ugly and far from watchable

I hated it. The story was random, the characters weren’t relatable, everything is predictable, the characters are like every other animated kid’s movie... I’m wondering how it would do if it didn’t have Sunflower in it..

When I first saw it, I didn't think it was all bad and even had the marshmallow creatures as my screensaver for a while after...until the plot twist that invoked one of my most hated tropes in all media. Also, something else...is heavily implied. something that made me nearly throw up at the theater. Overall, I wouldn't put Cloudy 2 on the list by any means, I can't bring myself to ever watch it again--just stop at the end of the second act and look up videos of the marshmallows on the Internet. 10. Never try to continue a franchise past its prime.
9. Never copy other films in an attempt to make yours successful.
8. If you are telling a story that we all know, tell it in a way that feels fresh and new.
7. Never force dialogue or explanation where it is not needed.
6. If you must make a follow-up to a film, do the best you can with it.
5. Some stories are best left untold.
4. Never rely on cheap puns for comedy.
3. If your animation has glitches, maybe upgrade your software.
2. If a film is meant strictly for home media, do not force it into theaters.

Don’t get me started on Winx Club: The Mystery of the Abyss, the animation is much lower quality than Norm of the North, of not worse. It was meant to be the 3rd big screen installment of the franchise, but it’s animation quality makes Barnyard look like Madagascar, and makes those international films you find in the bargain bin look like legit theatrical animated films. I’ve even seen direct to DVD sequels that have better animation quality than this. Not only that, but even some preexisting character animation was recycled from Season 5 of the tv show, just with darker effects. And the scenes at Alfea and Gardenia look even worse than season 5’s CGI segments, as not only do the characters look more creepy, but Kiko also has no fur like he did in the previous two films. If the animation quality of your tv show is much higher and much better than your big screen feature, you really screwed up.
Lessons I've Learned From These Animated Movies:
#10: Say goodbye to a franchise no one wants anymore.
#09: Don't take from a superior movie just to make your own.
#08: Some directors have their worst moments in directing.
#07: Don't make a movie about talking dinosaurs like how Madagascar did theirs.
#06: Some fairytale franchises are best flushed down the toilet.
#05: Some ideas are just best scrapped.
#04: Some comedy is just best if not used at all.
#03: Upgrade your animation software.
#02: Some movies are just best if they're only instant-to-DVD.
#01: Some movies are best if they've never existed in the first place.

We all know that film will stay at nr1 worst worldwide feature film of all time
To be fair, I expected that film to be #1. on the list. However, I didn't expect "Ice Age: Collision Course" (2016), "Walking with Dinosaurs in 3-D", "Escape from Planet Earth" (both 2013), and "Playmobile the Movie" (most recently released animated film) to be here. Before watching the video, I was expecting the way he'd construct his list is by ranking the animated films he'd put on the top spot of his list of every Top 5 Worst. While some of the animated films he ranked as #1. on his Top 5 Worst lists are included on this list like "Hoodwinked Too!: Hood vs. Evil" (2011), "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" (2013), "Strange Magic" (2015), "Norm of the Norm" (2016), of course, "The Emoji Movie" (2017), and his soon to be #1. on his upcoming Top 5 Worst Animated Films of 2019 list, "Arctic Dogs", I was also expecting other animated films he'd ranked as #1. in his list to be included on this list too like "Hotel Transylvania" (2012) and "Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return" (2014). Even "Alpha & Omega", although he didn't do a Top 5 Best and Worst List of the Animated Films released in 2010, I think we all know it'd be the contender for #1. on the Worst list. But even if I got some predictions wrong, this was still a well-put Top 10 list that was interesting to watch and see him analyze on why they're the worst of this decade. I look forward to his best list. And I already have a feeling which ones will be included on the list with that one.

If you can respect my opinion, I liked the movie. I liked the design of the food creatures and the names they gave them. I would disagree that the animation is completely unwatchable as there are other animated movies that have way worse animation than this.
Max Andrew i also love the hotel transylvania movies and i respect animat's decision. I really love cloudy and Hotel T because of the funny characters, the stories, and the cartoony animation ^^

@@MaxAndrew Agreed. Not only that, but the character designs look just like the ones in the book that it is based on. So I confused why Animat hates it so much. It's based on a short children's book and the first movie is pretty dang accurate to it.
When I was in 8th grade my school took the straight A students on a field trip to see Norm of the North. We all clapped when it was over BECAUSE we could finally go back to school. The teacher chaperones kept taking turns sitting outside the theater because they couldn’t handle it anymore. It was probably the worst field trip of my life.
Why not just wait a week and see something like Kung Fu Panda 3? Hell, wasn't The Force Awakens still out?

Hannah Warner, I feel so bad for you. But as bad as norm of the north was, I have a theater experience that was really bad. It was when my family made a big trip to the movie theater to watch the crimes of grindelwald. And it was the most boring movie I have ever seen, it was so boring that I didn't know what was going on during the whole thing! But thank God critics hated the movie as well, but not as much as I did. But sadly most of my family liked the movie for some reason.
I remember seeing it on DVD but I had NO idea why my parents even bought it. I thought it was awful when I first saw it and I still think it’s trash.

@JEAN VALLADOLID Guess it just wasn't bad enough for the list. Personally, I found the movie okay. Nothing too awful and nothing great. Just kind of somewhere in between good and bad. I kind of see it as a discount Spirited Away since both movies are set in abandoned theme parks, but I suppose that is where the similarities end.
Why do I realize just now that Ratchet and Clank had a movie?
I’m surprised The Queen’s Corgi didn’t make the list. Although it’s a guilty pleasure movie for me, a lot of people don’t like the movie.
Ian Thompson uglydolls hurt me on so many levels, that movie is a pure example of what’s wrong with cinema nowadays, I honestly felt it was a shallow cash grab made with no love or care whatsoever.

I'm truly gonna miss the 2010's era and truly has been a blast for me. But now we head onto the future and see If we can still make some Improvements for ourselves and still remind the world that Hand Drawn along with other good shows, movies, and games never died and still In our hearts and memories! AniMatt; I still want to thank you for all your hard work and effect and If I didn't discover somewhere around The Epic Mickey Files I wouldn't be here today with you and everyone else and sure no difference I could've discovered you alternative with one of these movie reviewers but felt like I've truly came along with you and everyone else who got a chance to see you and hopefully to still be supportive of your work no matter what and can't wait to see the Top 10 Worst Animated Films Of 2019 and the other movies that coming next year. Also If you truyl don't want your year to always be sour; why not give some of the Netflix or other TV Shows a chance to shine to balance out both the positives and negatives so that everyone can equally enjoy along with some of the recent games as well.

The Emoji Movie made me wanna stop using emojis. When i see someone use emojis, i legitimately cringe every time, and it just makes me think how normie someone can be. The only exception where i do use emojis, is Discord. But other than Discord, i only use emoticons
Discord's emojis are more or less automatic anyway. (course you could also use gifs but those take up more space)
I stopped using emojis after the film started its marketing- I also use emoticons. So I'm with you.

So let me get this straight: Disney said Chicken Little, The Black Cauldron, some of the live action remakes (minus the Jungle Book and Cinderella) and Pocahontas were okay, but they were personally ashamed of Strange Magic?!
There are no words to describe how much that movie was awful.

Black cauldron was fine, gurgi could get annoying sometimes but I love the darkness of the movie, horned king still scares me... But tbh pocahontas is a bit of a mess, historically inaccurate to the point of no return..

Sunspot Mill exactly. If only most people don't react so overprotective with their favorite movies. Most sony animation fans were hating on animat all cuz he doesn't like most of sony's animated movies and i find that so dumb. Like if they like sony animation, thats fine. But they shouldn't hate on animat just because he isn't a fan of sony animation. I love the hotel Transylvania movies so much and i honestly don't mind that animat isn't a fan of them. I knew those films weren't going to be on the list because they were released to video than in theaters, and even with their infamous reputations, it's for the best to just ignore those films and save us from having post-traumatic stress disorders. Especially, with "Where the Dead Go to Die" for me, I don't even want to be reminded of the horrifying content that atrocity contains or remember it.
I really have to commend Mat for how he discussed Cloudy 2 in this video.
Back in his review of the film and best/worst of 2013 video, he was intense and aggressive when it came to the film and came across as very condescending to the people who liked it. Now, he acknowledges that people do legit like the first film without complaining about the fact and was very concise in his criticisms this time around without bringing attention to the fact he has a different opinion than everyone else.
It really shows how much he's grown as a critic and creator.

Anyways, can’t wait next week for best animated films of the decade, which’ll most likely include amazing films like Kubo and the Two Strings, Frozen, The Breadwinner, Zootopia, HTTYD2, Inside-Out, Toy Story 3, The Lego Movie, Rango, The Adventures of Tintin and Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse!
I Felt bored about The Breadwinner, wasn't interested in that Movie, But I Felt interested about the others.
Dan Newnam I can understands that, but I just felt like the way it looked at women’s roles in Middle Eastern culture and the struggles the MC had to go through just to support her family made it very emotional and evocative. Plus the animation was drop-dead gorgeous. But since it didn’t get a major release, I doubt Animat’ll disccus it anyhow.

Nah, it deserves the hate, maybe even more, I can't believe people defend it purely in the animation, just... Why? Don't overlook the fact is an ad, the plot is either contradictory or machist, who I'm kidding, is both. Has an awful villain, the world building is nonsensical and almost everything it implies contradicts the plot in some way
Also Hi-Five is the worst character ever made. And that's a fact.

The fact that we live in a world where Norm of the North got sequels makes me lose faith in all humanity
And also the fact that we live in a world where the only mainstream film adaptation of Through the Looking-Glass is the Tim Burton film that’s a sequel to his Alice in Wonderland film and we’ve never got an adaptation of the book by Walt Disney Animation Studios as a sequel to their version of Alice in Wonderland.
Ice Age got yet another sequel, and is even worse than the fifth, that's some ice-cold salt in the wound.
Hallelujah 2019 is almost over baby. But when will the best come out? Tomorrow or next week?

Well, I mean they're not wrong, Collision Course is generally considered the weakest out of the whole Ice Age franchise.
What do you think of Adventures of Buck Wild?
“Norm of the north” is a bad movie, but having and environmental message to save the Arctic is NOT one of the reasons that makes it bad! I love most of Animatt’s reviews, but it’s disappointing that to this day and age, there’s still people who think protecting the planet they live in is a waste of time!
It’s not the fact that is has an environmental message that made “Norm of the North” bad and be put at #2 here; it’s the execution and how hammered-in it feels rather than being genuine. People can tell if movies say to save the environment just so they can get the money; “Norm of the North” is the perfect example of that!
I love that Arnold Schwarzenegger joke. “SHUT UUUUP!!!!!”
And while I respect your opinion on a few films, like Cloudy 2, I pretty much agree with the rest.
I only think that it didn't deserved to be that low on the list

Norm of the North is probably getting money from soccer moms buying it on DVD for their kids. That's probably why Alpha and Omega got so many sequels.
The Emoji Movie was bad but I honestly thought it was better than the majority of stuff on this list.

I really wished Blue Sky would make a Ice Age sequel where they bring back the humans. Especially the baby from the first movie, who is now all grown up and is the leader of his tribe. But sadly we got these bombs.

The original Hoodwinked movie was literally the definition of my childhood, it being made a year after my birth and my sister badly wanted it, which is how I even knew of it and see it as the strong amounts of nostalgia. I'm absolutely relived that I've never seen the sequel or at least can't remember if I did. Because I am 100 percent sure that my childhood would be ruined if I did see it.
Edit: I did watch it, but I can't remember it and whether or not I liked it or not... But knowing me and my knack for enjoying what everyone hates, I'd assume I liked it. And that says something really bad about me. I mean, I like skunks, you would expect me to like something that everyone doesn't.

Cloudy 2 isn't even really that bad and you could've easily just put Foodfight instead, but I get you wanted to include wide releases, but I think there's other films worse than it.

I actually do like Cloudy 2, it was pretty decent. Even though he said he wouldn't put in Foodfight, I do agree it's awful, and I actually sat down to watch it KNOWING it was garbage. And as for Mars Needs Moms...I don't even remember that many details, just a few that came up just now.
