My favorite!
Or to plug Anatidaephobia
My favorite phobia
I can say it 5 times fast
The fear of long words… ironic
Fear is a natural emotion that protects people from harm when they face real and imminent danger.
A phobia is an excessive fear or anxiety related to specific objects or situations.
Remember, while fear is a normal part of life, phobias require attention and sometimes treatment if they significantly impact daily functioning.
Fear vs phobia😮
Is that why some people call all phobias irrational? Ik that a “rational” fear would be from something like a childhood trauma, but what would make a fear irrational?
you can also have a phobia of social things and not even realize it in my experience
@@alphonso7170jumping out of a second story building to avoid a spider, would be irrational.
@@Beardqt obviously, but I’m wondering what makes them have the fear, and why that is irrational. Not the actions they take, but why they take them. For example, I have severe vHI ( visual hight intolerance) which makes it so that when I look up, I get sick, for whatever reason. I’m claustrophobic, but it’s a “rational” fear because it stems from when I got trapped in a drying machine when I was younger (long story)
My grandma has hemophobia. My mom got bit by a large dog on her face as a kid (she thankfully wasn't disfigured, she has very light, almost unnoticeable scars left) and my grandma's fear of blood prevented her from being able to help my mom. These kinds of situations are why treating phobias is important, not only to make life easier for yourself, but also so you can help and protect your loved ones if need be
Thank god your mom is ok
I heard that fear of blood can be a mechanism in some people to protect them. Their blood pressure drops as soon as they see blood and they get near fading so they lose less blood. I have the same thing even though I am not scared of blood, my whole life I thought i was scared and that's what caused me to fade when i saw blood. I think that's somewhat cool but kinda dumb of our bodies because if we are bleeding we might need to run away sometimes. And in now modern times it is a hassle to give blood in hospitals but as I grew up I used to it a bit
So your telling me if I become a doctor ill make 100k a year and 3% of Americans will be afraid of me? Hell yea.
This made my day lol 😂❤
In the United States an average doctor earns $313,000 a year (on average) so that’s perfect😂
💀☠️
My father, who is a neuro doctor, always tells me that the amount of patients who are scared of doctors is “absurd” lmao. Typical Doctor bias 💀
You’re gonna make a lot more than 100K
People with ablutophobia are commonly referred to as league of legends players.
lmao
Other candidates are discord mods, redditers,e daters, mincraft youtubers, and genshin players
And of course gamers

Aquaphobia is pretty similar to thalassophobia, which is the fear of deep and large bodies of water. The game subnautica and its community have many good videos about it since a lot of people actually develop thalassophobia while playing it
It went from generations to evolutions then diets and now phobias. I love this channel !!
Everyone being phobias:
social anxiety disorder:
used to suffer from trypanophobia due to being held down as a child for a shot, was so afraid that i once passed out AFTER a jab because?? i guess brain crumpled. got over it by not having been held down ever again and the nurses being really kind and taking my fear seriously
Studies have shown that competitive Smash Bros. players are 100% more likely to suffer from ablutophobia than the average person.

I am nucleaweaponphobic because I don’t know about you but I don’t want to be embodied with radiation
not to burst your radiation filled bubble but phobias are usually called phobias when they are irrational
I placed 1.21 gigawatts of cobalt 60 in your walls by the way
I hope there is a part 2. I have intense bathophobia, fear of depth. Dark hallways, parts of the ocean, and liminal spaces freak me out so much.
2:43 LoL players and CS majors have this phobia!
ye me
This is a real good/cool idea for a UA-cam channel, I want to surprised if you blow up. Keep up the good work!
One of my friends actually has a phobia of butterflies, it's to the extent that she'll run out of the room if she sees one (or hide behind someone if she can't leave)
I have exactly the same phobia 😢
I have Acrophobia.
Fear of heights
Oh.
Stay blessed
Oooh😊
@@totalffgamer1007 good song
You forgot Alurophobia
Due to past abuse, I would often disassociate as a child. In my teen years it happened again, and when I woke up from my trance I was in a river. I still don't know how or when I ended up in that river, but I cannot go swimming in any relatively large body of water, i.e. pools, the ocean, lakes, rivers, ect., without having flashbacks to nearly drowning in that river as a teen. So, I developed Aquaphobia due to a traumatic experience.
(for those of you who don't know what dissociation is, it's basically a trauma response, often developed by children in abusive homes or other abusive environments, that allows for someone to mentally detach themselves from their body and the current experience, this can be done accidently or on purpose depending on the person, the situation, and the level of control said person has over their dissociation. While this does allow for someone to not have to experience trauma, many experts say it's a bad thing. If done in childhood, it can hinder mental and physical development. If done in adulthood, it can lead to memory gaps which can be very distressing for something to not know anything that happened to them during extended periods of time.)
Most people are afraid of dentists. Im proud to say my dentist is afraid of ME
_W-what?_
@@TheRedEmperor_ You heard me. He is afraid of me.
These are just the most common phobias. Nice explained tho! ^^
Next video could be "all literary terms explained". Iam very interested in this and your style of influence would be more than interesting❤
I’m good with heights and all but when I’m high up and they have like glass railing or walkways then I get scared. Like I’d rather get close to a ledge with no railing then too one with glass railing.
The pictures gave me a bunch of phobias that I definitely did not have before watching this video.
6:26 I have claustrophobia but I don’t fear not being able to breathe I just hate not having complete control of my body and I have had panic attacks about it.
I clicked the video and screamed and shat my pants immediately (I have arachnophobia)
Death note still providing smart thinking soundtrack lol
I've always been a little scared of showering or bathing since I have no way of knowing what's behind the curtain, but it got way worse for a while after I saw the story Groaning Drain Pipes by Junji Ito
Love your channel,very informative!!
I have Cynophobia, going to any park is kinda terrifying
For me dogs are fine as long as there on a leash but I definitely don't like dogs particularly random dogs of people who I don't know and are not familiar with.
@@garynaccarato4606 I do feel similarly about that, if the dog is on a leash it’s fine, but some dogs just seem a bit… jumpy I guess. Like their about to sprint at me and maul me. Just know I get it :D
What about pugs? ?@@Toasted_One
@@VailingD honestly depends, I’m fine around most dogs as long as they’re on a leash and not screaming at me, pugs are normally fine
Why is there no section for hippopotamonstrosesquipadaliophibia?
I used to ave ablutophobia, idk why.
pretty sure i have minor acrophobia.
never been flying, so idk if i have aerophobia.
i have claustrophobia, but only for extremely small spaces.
i have minor autophobia.
I used to have trypanophobia, but not anymore. i now can have like 50 needles in me and be fine.
i have minor dentaphobia, but it dissapears once the procedure starts.
my sister has extreme germophobia.
Surprised the fear of driving wasn't on there
Im not sure if it's a phobia, but I have an INTENSE fear of needles to the point I would rather possibly die than take a shot or have my blood taken ... I was forced to get my blood draw a week ago and it was... not great to say the least...
I'm scared of bees and wasps 😨😰. But you didn't have that fear on your list
Oooh i have a weird phobia. I have megalphobia, fear of unusually large objects. Although it had gotten better i get very bad anxiety when around sky scrapers of cruise ships. Its a weird feeling and its hard to explain but its the urge to just sleep to get it away. Like most peoples fight or flight kicks in but i just acept fate. I cant drive in big cities due to it, but like i said it is a lot better than what it was say a few years ago.
they forgot to add- HOMOPHOBIA!
afraid of gay people
i have social anxiety disorder, its destroying my life with firends, school, everything i cant even go to shop, i almost cant breathe when im shopping so im taking drugs or some alcohol before going to shop or work or even metting with friends... i dont care about hans shaking sweatting etc.. but my cheeks can start to like really shakiing, ive never seen someone having this... + i got GAD, someone else had cheeks shaking?
putting fear into a set amount of categories? is that a magnus archives reference?
I THINK I have agoraphobia...? I thought it was the fear of very large and open, but indoor, spaces specifically? My university got this new residence hall before I graduated, and the first time I went in there, I got a bit tippy, because it was NEEDLESSLY gigantic, and I got disoriented, like "Where do I go?" On the opposite end of this, though, I'm not afraid of snakes or spiders, though I am afraid of bees. It's the buzzing. I've tried to condition-therapy myself and it didn't go well. Had a minor panic attack. I also have a fear of heights, but only really on the outside of spaces, so that pic you had of the guy hanging off the side of the building made my insides flip-flop. Lemme think...heights, open water (I like to look at it, I like the idea of the vastness, but I can't swim and I almost drowned in Lake Huron when I was a kid, so let's say I have an, ahem, "healthy respect" for it), bees, losing people. I think that might be it? I grew out of my fear of dogs through exposure, and my fear of thunder and lightning just kind of flipped over once I hit adolescence, and my brain started going, "No, FEEL the energy, don't be afraid of it!" For the fear of heights, though, for example, I'm not afraid to fly in an enclosed vehicle, but you'd have to drag me by the ankles to get me in a hot air balloon.
i lived in Cambodia and u ain't wrong. in some province like Kompong Cham, they sell some dry spider with black pepper&lemon sauce
This is far from every phobia
😮😮
Exact
Trypophobia, submechanophobia and nyctophobia are ones I can remember by name. Others I know of are the fear of being without your phone, fear of mirrors, the fear of getting peanut butter stuck to the roof of your mouth, the fear of vomiting, fear of long words, (many more exist)
10:25 oh my god that picture is terrifying
there's no way more people are scared of SNAKES than SPIDERS.
Oh, I think I might have hylophobia. I wasn't scared of forests as a kid, but sometime in my teens I became really afraid of them. This sucks because I live in a heavily forested country. I can't even walk on a path next to the edge of a forest without feeling intense anxiety, my heartrate skyrocketing, and I can't take my eyes off the forest because I feel the need to keep an eye on it as if something is going to emerge from it any second now. So I try to avoid going inside a forest, it's unbearable for me. I sometimes have nightmares about being lost in them, especially at night.
As someone with trypophobia, I don’t know why I’m scared of a bunch of small holes
You forgot about Apeirophobia which is the fear of infinity and countless discomfort, sometimes causing panic attacks from thoughts of infinity.
I would love to see a "Every type of Joke" video
2:49 Reddit says otherwise
I am kind of surprised you did not mention Basophobia. This is personally my biggest fear.
I used to have globophobia when I was a kid since I was 3 or 4 until I was 18 now I’m completely fine with them I actually like to decorate with them and I am also a balloon twister as a hobby now and want to say to anybody who is suffering from my former fear that keep trying and gradually expose yourself don’t feel pressured to do a quickly, and you are not alone don’t be afraid to tell people that you trust
What about the dead of olives?
So I have a severe case of Trypanophobia and I am slowly exposing myself in regards to vaccinations, blood tests, and insertion of any IV fluids. I made a small achievement of going to the dentist to have fillings done (required a needle to inject local anaesthesia).
11:08 sorry but no. Pancreatic cancer is fatal in 95% of cases within 5 years, the fact that he lived 8 years with it, with just serious diets is quite crazy, that's barely 3% of people who can live that long with it... and usually with treatment. Within 10 years it's 100% fatal, there is no 'it would probably have saved his life"...unfortunately. It's literally from far the worse type of cancer to have. There's chance it may have been cause by his too strict diet he had all his life though according to some specialist (even though cancer is rarely caused by a single thing).
You missed gobophobia- the fear of balloons and you forgot the fear of buttons. Maybe you could make a pt. 2
is there a term for being terrified of being upside down and unable to move, not both separately, but both at the same time, being upside down is fine to me, being bound is also fine, but being bound and upside down is one of the worst feelings I can imagine just thinking about it
I have social anxiety disorder 😭
How is there not Megalophobia? I freaking hate huge stuff! I couldn't look at the sky in my dreams because the moon was too big (like the size of a small hand in the sky) or that there were huge stars or smth. I just have a terribly irrational fear of the night sky, too.
Now we need Every Fetish Explained in 13 Minutes.

As a kid, I had cynophobia. Actually, just a bit over a year ago I managed to overcome it.
It was insane because every single time I told someone "I'm scared of dogs" EVERY SINGLE TIME they would answer "pH but he doesn't hurt"

These are the phobias I found out that I had in this video: Arachnophobia, Slight aquaphobia I'm afraid of big oceans especially when I'm alone I have huge and severe I have huge and severe acrophobia and it's really annoying, meacrophobia, I I have claustrophobia version 2 fear of suffocation And the triggers really really high when I'm in a small space and can't get out easily, I have autophobia, also I have trypanophobia, Hemophobia, I have a slight amount of germophobia I have a slight amount of germophobia but it was stronger when I was younger.

As a person with arachnophobia,i can confirm i already panicked to the point of almost faiting at the sight of a spider (it was the size of an ant)
I used to be DEATHLY afraid of cats because I kept getting attacked by a stray that lived around my house when I was a kid. Now I own 4 cats lol. Exposure therapy works, guys
Man I was not hoping that

Isn’t Arachnophobia and entomophobia really similar? I have both, and also probably thasslaphobia 😅 (spell check me!) along with a fear of showering, darkness, and being alone in the woods. Haha, yeeeaaaahh, I unfortunately have some friends who like to test exactly how scared I am of each. 😂
Snakes aren’t all that vicious or scary. Ask a snake keeper, they’d often rather starve than eat lol. Yeah sucks if it’s a venomous one but they don’t really want to bite you unless they have to, because that’s a waste of venom.
Where I’m from there are pretty much no deadly venomous spiders or snakes (well, one species of snake that’s extremely rare and I don’t live in an area where i’m likely to encounter it) but a lot of stray dogs and rabies is a problem, so here it makes more sense to be scared of dogs than spiders and snakes.
ove the death note music
The brain is crazy man
I have asthiozooaphobia… fear of rubber animals. It sounds fake, but it’s true 💀. When the tiktok meme “rubber room of rats rats make me crazy” I was astounded, due to the fact that IT WAS TRUE FOR ME.
how did I get this fear? I don’t know. But when I was younger my little sister tried to shove a rubber rat in my ear and now I’m scared of them.
Damn my social anxiety disorder was a phobia? Idk how I conquered it? I still have anxiety but it’s usually manageable. And a lot of it I think is from my existential endeavours. Like I would think a lot of about life death and space. It let me realize how little I matter in the grand scheme of things, and all of humans in general
I would've guessed that autophobia was a fear of cars and/or driving
What about megalophobia?

I have acrophobia definitely I would never dare to stand on a edge even if there’s bars protecting me
I have papyrophobia(the fear of paper)and as someone who has to work with books I find it torturous to live my life day to day
If this is true, then I wish the best and hope you do not suffer from this for the rest of your life and hope if you ever get therapy it works out for you
