i thought this cute little sheep farm in gangwondo was gorgeous in summer, but this winter trip took my breath away! its relatively easy to get here by bus (and taxi) from Seoul if you're looking for a day trip :) hope you're all having a safe and happy winter!

I recently moved from LA metro to a small town in the mountains. The snow is similar here, and I don't think I'll ever get over how beautiful it is.
Its out of this world!

Hi Cari,
I grew up with film cameras-back in the days when digital and phone camera are not widely available. A photographer gave me this tip:
-kodak film has a warmer rendition for printed photos, they are good for nights scenes, dusks, sunsets
-fuji film are good for nature, their prints tended to be greenish
-konica (I don't know if this is still being sold) are good for ocean and seascapes

Love how excited you were about the film photos!! I shoot digital but def still have an affinity for analog, so I do my damndest to make it look vintage and damaged regardless:) May get a new lens that mimics the old Cooke's from the 1940s, pair that with Dehancer and it should be interesting. Loved the gold look tho it gives it a warm winter vibe, that one of Kurt is needs a frame lol

I always forget you're from Cali originally! I love a good pretty snow too. I remember giving a tour to people from San Diego on a snowy day in upstate NY and they kept saying, "It's like a movie!" I don't know which movie...Narnia, maybe? Avalanche? They thought the coat hooks with everyone's coat on it were hysterical! Winter can be so beautiful! Hope you're having a great weekend!

It was just such a beautiful video and I felt the craving for snow in my bones while watching 🥲 I moved to Switzerland two years ago thinking I will get plenty of snow but the global warming really shows on europe because it barely snowed this winter and last winter as well but at least I have your video 💛
The sheep farm looks gorgeous in summer and winter, I definitely need to visit it once I visit Korea. I grew up in a place with fairly cold winters so I’m used to some snow but in the city it often turns into a grey mush within hours of falling, especially in recent years we’ve only had about 10 snowy days every winter so I rarely get to see beautiful fluffy white snow with blue skies. I also just remembered that I still have the roll of film that I started in June in my camera, I really need to finish it and get it developed! I remember taking the first photo at the Phoebe Bridgers concert I went to and I must have taken some photos in Paris but other than that it’s a mystery.

As someone who lives in a country where long, cold (-25 c) and snowy winter is the normal, I often feel the opposite, although I've made the conscious effort this year to appreciate the beauty of snow more. The coldest time in Korea's Gangwon-do region is -30c, which is an acceptable temperature for Koreans.

Don't you just love when God puts smooth frosting on the world? It's so pure, and clean, and soft looking. It softens everything, calms down the rough spots, as well as quieting things down. Even though it's cold, it seems to add a gentleness to things that's unlike anything else. Seeing you out there was like a cute little strawberry with pigtails in a field of cream lol.
Oh yes, loved the braided pigtails! Also, the unexpected super ASMR voice over at the beginning was both startling and quite nice! You should do more of that. I don't know where you'd use it, but it was nice. You have such an eye for beautiful imagery, much of which would make great still photos, but you're showing them in a continuous montage of video images. Very captivating, and almost magical at times. Your knitted hat looks great on you, great color combo. You with glasses? Great teacher vibe going there; bookworm, librarian, researcher.
I don't know why, but for some reason this video had the cute factor dialed up extra high. Not that you aren't normally, but this one was just.... extra. Lots of fun! Big thumbs up!
feeling really weird and anxious today, i moved far far away from home and am struggling to find a job and make any plans (i'm like you - i like plans and to know what I'm doing). just caught up on your last two videos on the rooftop of my hostel whilst watching the sunset and i definitely feel much better and a little less anxious. i dont know how long i'll last out here without most of my loved ones but thanks for helping me get through it cari

When i used to shoot film when i studied photography - Fuji film tended to be cooler toned, and Kodak was always warmer…you can kinda of colour correct it, but that will take away the uniqueness of the film. I personally preferred Fujifilm as the colours tended to be brighter, and i prefer the cooler coloured tones 😊
