That is truly the ultimate GBA! Congratulations on your project, I hope we can see more updates of how it goes on, or on other projects you happen to work with. Thanks for sharing!
Hey saw your post on reddit. Enjoyed the video. Nice work 👍. I assembled like 6 of them myself, for me, the fun and for friends who wanted one too. Question: Do you also have issues with the audio creating a delay with capturecards? I found it running fine on my TV but my capture card always desyncs from the video so I always use an AUX cable when I want to stream or capture GBA footage. And just for anyone curious, with the right planning beforehand you could actually assemble one of them for about 200-230€. The Shell costs about 20 bucks, GBA, if you are good 50 bucks, Display is about 40 and the dock is about 50-60 as well. USB-C battery adds another 20-30 bucks. This is cheaper than buying a Gamecube + GB Player + GCVideo HDMI adapter + Bluetooth Adapter + OSSC (to scale the video to 720p/1080p) + MOD to boot into swiss to run GBI... and does not produce as much environmental noise. But the GameCube on the other hand never had sound issues for me using GBI. I might assemble another GBA somewhen in the future with the dock mod from Aliexpress... but only if they somewhen update the board to A: finally being able to store the aspect ratio settings, B: getting rid if the audio desync and C: somehow... make it more accessible to turn your console on and off while it's docked. lol
No audio delay for me luckily but seeing as I have other issues I guess there are just kinks sometimes. The on/off switch could technically just be relocated with another switch, not a bad idea at all. Thanks for checking it out!
this is awesome

Sorry for the wall of text. I got no one to speak to about such stuff. 😂
