A change is going to come is a great song. It's been covered by many. Beth Hart sings it her way. She covers other great songs...she sings them the way she feels them. Doesn't get much better than that! Gotta feel the soul when your singing soul/blues music.

Beth Hart is.. I don’t even have the vocabulary to express the way I feel about her version of this song. I’m a musician. I grew up in a family of musicians. I have taken advantage of it my whole life. I don’t event remember learning how to play the guitar, it’s just something that I’ve always known how to do. My dad, my granddaddy, my uncles, my cousins all played.
I’ve allowed it to keep me from getting better because it was never special to me because I didn’t get to be excited to learn like the people I have taught over the years. But I recognize special and I know what it is.
Beth Hart knows heartache, she knows the blues and more importantly, she has a God given talent to sing the blues that allows her to give folks feels. That bitch got soul like a mothafucker.

She has another performance or two that are technically more proficient but the emotional delivery in this version is hard to match. I agree totally with a singer delivering the message.
Her voice is now like a fine southern whisky or a very very fine vintage wine.
