Lawn mower blade sharpening with the All American Sharpener 5005 Gen 2

Here we're showing, real time, how quickly, easily, and efficiently the All American Sharpener brings blades to life. I had these blades "professionally sharpened" for $7 each--about $120 after tax. Once I found a groove and process with these blades, despite the edges being in such bad shape after the "professional", each blade took at most 4-5 minutes to sharpen and balance. Blades that were not in such poor condition took about 30 seconds start to finish. Now, moving forward, I'll be able to keep fresh blades on the mowers at all times, and spend barely any time redefining the edges as needed.

We're glad you are happy with your 5005! Thanks for the video. Your experience is one we've heard many times. Depending on who is "professionally" sharpening your blades that day, the results aren't always stellar, and you're paying for it! And like you said, the hardest part is getting them back into shape. What is the difference between the 5005 generation 1 and 2?

@@chrisdomenici9107 When we revised the design of our original sharpeners, we built additional length into the guide arms. This allows our jigs to accommodate counter-clockwise (left handed) blades, and blades up to 30" long. No other changes were made, and all our sharpeners produced now are the Gen 2 versions.

We have ours screwed to a board, and when it's time to sharpen blades, we just C-clamp it to the bench top. Works great!
