To the Daisy player, who waited for me in every section of the level but died at the very last part and being unabled to come back, I salute you and dedicate this victory to you.
First they make you do that HELLISH balloon part, THEN they want you to hit the top of the flagpole bouncing off an angled platform while STILL INVISIBLE? Man, they were out for blood. I am SO LUCKY I got to the top first try and didn’t have to beat it ALL OVER.
this literally happened to me today. I struggled for 3 hours straight to fucking clear this level. The springy and invisible one really got to my nerves. BUTT!! after i cleared this level, everything became super easy and i autopiloted everything, and also got the gold flag at the end.
For the final invisible section, the biggest trick/realization I used to beat it (after failing like 20 times) is to remember that your character is ALWAYS centered along the horizontal axis, it makes hopping on the balloon enemies waaay easier if you try to focus on that one section of the screen. good luck to those that still have this level ahead of them !
I tired 100 times. I gave up at the balloons. It was impossible. What do you mean centered ? Mario will always jump up straight into the air. Not to the sides (left/right) ?
I had to beat this twice because i missed the top of the flag pole the first time, this level honestly should have 6 stars instead of 5 just so people know what they're actually getting into (cause most 5 star stages are not too challenging)
I luckily got the top of the flag pole on my first time beating this level so I didn't have to go back through it... But yeah, it should be like 20 stars compared to the other 5 star difficulty levels lol.
It took me 5 hours to beat this level. And after hitting the flagpole I realised I missed the first coin. My jaw dropped. And I went in again. And I completed the whole level from beginning to end in my second try it felt so amazing. All the memorization paid off. Amazing game, would recommend it to anybody! But I will never ever play this level again haha.
bro, this level was a slap in the face on my initial attempt. I started with 80 lives and ended with 12. then when I felt like doing it again, I stocked up on lives, and I didn't even leave the 90s. Funnest level in the game.
If only there was a checkpoint at the invisible badge part.... Like seriously whoever thought to not add a checkpoint there is pure evil.... Like if you die at that section you have to redo 3 other sections just to try again....
@@aidanmoore8751 I agree, I’m extremely lucky to have finished the invisible badge part without dying at all. But yeah if I died I would’ve probably rage quit at that point
Good tip for the final invisible section. Keep tapping X in between jumps to make the chat icon appear above your character. Still tough but you can see where you are.
I started this level with 98 lives. I wasted my whole day trying to beat it but, I couldn’t. Bruh I swear, as I kept on trying, I thought to myself “It would be so freaking funny if I made it on my last try before I run out of lives”… and on my last life, I FREAKING MADE IT! I was starting to get so annoyed but I made it on my last try!
Beforehand: grab 2 drill powerups from Search Party: Item Park in Deep Magma Bog, set ground pound to ZL only, and turn off online for faster deaths if you don’t trust people to revive you or place standees properly. The white reappearing flower buds should guide you nicely through these, and the coins you collect will offset the lost lives a fair bit. Remember that this is the final level for a reason, and the more you fail, the better you’ll get! Section 1: Parachute Cap Restart if you take damage. Wait a slight bit before jumping in to change the cycle, and don’t be afraid to move around and let go of the button briefly to get through Section 2: Floating High Jump Ground pound to get through the piranha plants at the beginning and when the platform dips into the lava, but you don’t need it anywhere else. Carefully placed normal jumps should be enough Section 3: Dolphin Kick Follow right after the lightning strikes to give yourself the biggest margin for error, and move in a zigzag pattern for the last bit before the exit pipe Section 4: Crouching High Jump If you didn’t set ground pound to ZL only, you might input one by accident after crouch jumping if you’re still holding down, most likely killing you Section 5: Wall-Climb Jump As soon as you enter, don’t hesitate, just keep moving. The first melon piranha is timed so that you can almost immediately start jumping, and the cycles of the fireballs will line up so that you don’t have to wait to avoid them Section 6: Spring Feet If you kept your drills, damage boost through the fire bars, but get through as many as you can normally first. Drill is best as fire flower isn’t as quickly farmable, elephant has a huge hitbox, and bubble may throw off your jumps if bounced on by accident Section 7: Jet Run If they’re messing you up, think of the run-offs as part of the platform itself. You don’t have to worry about cycles here, the missile megs will always appear, and there will always be three of them. If you fall off higher up, know where the lower platforms are and try to save yourself Section 8: Boosting Spin Jump Don’t be hasty, wait for your cycle and take your shot. Follow the coins closely on the boost rails, especially the last jump, as spinning too early or too late will both kill you Section 9: Grappling Vine Activate the vine when you’re level with where you want to go. All the hot-hot rocks are on the same cycle, so use the ones around you to time the ones ahead Section 10: Invisibility You can use emotes to tell where you are, but keep in mind you can’t emote and dash at the same time. Jumping, falling and especially spinning are your best way to know where you are in the air, since they all have particle effects. Remember to hold both Y and B, and focus on the middle of the screen, since the camera centers around you
It's not too hard to perfect near every stage on the first try, but damn, fuck the invisible part of this level, just lost 60 lives at the green balloon part.
@@aidanmoore8751 I honestly didn't find it so bad because the 3 areas you need to redo are very consistently clearable and give you around 100 coins with the beginning of the invisibility area so you don't run the risk of a Game Over.
You would not believe how long this level took me. Especially the last part. Me and this other Toadette player kept waiting for each other which was very cool.
Incredible. I literally just beat the game 100%. I had to do this level twice because I missed the first purple coin. Total death count was 41. I couldn’t imagine not taking damage on that level, well done.
@@sAlucardxSMB: TLL had D-4, SMW had Funky, SMG had The Star Festival, NSMBW had 9-8, SMG2’s is The Perfect Run, SM3DL had S8-👑, NSMB2 had 9-🏰, NSMBU’s is Follow That Shell, NSLU had Flying Squirrel Ovation, SM3DW had Champion’s Road, Mario Odyssey had the other church painting, Bowser’s Fury had the Gazing Down at the Islands, and now SMB Wonder has The Final-Final Test: Badge Marathon. But then what’s each game’s hardest level?
This game is honestly a masterpiece. It can easily compete with Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3 for best 2D Mario game. It's not even recency bias. Every level and I mean literally every single level comes up with new and fresh ideas to surprise you. I enjoyed every second of this game. Finally beat the game 100% today. Do yourself a favor and buy this game. You won't regret it.
I thought it was boring. It was way too easy with this last level being way too hard. There was no overall balance. It was like the developers made this game for noobs and then made the last level for pro gamers. Take away the gimmicky wonder effects and this game really had nothing going for it. I was disappointed and really have no desire to play this game ever again.
I thought it was a solid 2D Mario game, maybe a bit on the short and easy side. I don’t think it’s quite up there with Super Mario World for me on the 2D front, and I think I got more enjoyment out of Odyssey overall. The multiplayer/online features make this game more fun to play with people than it is to play completely solo. People call too many games “masterpieces” these days; I wouldn’t think this is one.
It’s not even close to super Mario world. The entire game is ridiculously easy. Even this level feels like a 2 star level… I was so disappointed in this game
For anyone struggling with the Invisible section, here's what finally helped me beat it: 1. Play with two players, P1 is Yoshi, and P2 is Nabbit 2. Have Nabbit ride Yoshi 3. Yoshi completes the level while P2 Nabbit does absolutely nothing but spam the emote button (X) the entire time, so you always have a visual reference of where you are.
You shouldnt even need to have Nabbit spam emotes, one of the players should have a crown to show who’s got the camera controls. Make your Yoshi have the crown and Nabbit on top so they dont die unless you do and you can do it with one person
Yeah you can. Holding both L and R for a few seconds will voluntarily ghost your character and give the crown to someone else. Or just drop your non-Yoshi character into the pit. Two players, only one other place it can go.@@ChelseaRustad
I had no clue about online play or Yoshi. Been playing Mario games since the original. So I just use Mario. Took me over 170 lives to complete this stage. Never watched any YT videos because I didn’t want to spoil anything. Imagine the horror when I found out what Yoshi is capable of. Now I spend my time using Nabbit and helping others make it to the flagpole!
Just beat this, some tips and tricks. - Depending on ur skill level, you might wanna top off your lives (the max is 99). Dont wanna mess up near the end and have to start ALL OVER with only 5 lives. - Bring items! Have an item in your backup so you can tank some hits at really difficult parts (I'm talking about the fire bars). -Stay calm. Don't rage or stress yourself! Stay focused. - On the last section, pause and take a break. I mean like, a REAL break. On my winning attempt, I took a full shower and came back and beat it.
last tip: never give up. no matter how hard it is to beat it..never give up. you can always come back and try it again if you feel like trying again. 💪
@@dangeroussweeteners7479 Damn, I went into this with 99 lives and was able to beat it with around 60 lives left. You end up accruing a ton of lives through the coins you pick up each time you repeat sections after dying, so I'm not sure how many lives I actually used... But it was probably near 99 lives total until I actually beat it lol.
My advice: use your carried powerup to tank the last section of the firebars in the forced jump section. The extra powerup won't be any use in the last checkpoint anyway.
I did this exact strategy when I did my run. That part is really tough to do without taking a single hit (especially the end part), so having that buffer with a powerup makes a world of difference!
Here are some helpful tips to make your life less miserable with this final level: -Parachute Cap: Try to just not die, that one is pretty easy as long as you follow the coin path. -Floating High Jump: Ground pound often, do it at the beggining of a difficult section (piranha plants, the poison) But don't do it too often because you will be too slow and die. -Dolphin Kick: As soon as the first barrier is done, DONT do another dolphin kick as you will still get the boost when you enter the entrance of the loop-around section. Either do how the dude did it in the video for the final section or do it without kicking, it is possible without kicking. -Crouching High Jump: Get the pattern down, you must know when to jump and when to crouch high jump. -Wall-Climb Jump: Get the pattern down, you can get help by the little things in the ground (i forgot the name) -Spring Feet: This one SUCKS. For the final section, try to mega jump when the fireball is on the right side and it is at the height of the ground. Like so it aligns with the floor basically. Twirling makes it easier. -Jet Run: Get used to the controls, remember you get to keep running instead of falling down when you walk off a platform! Twirling is recommended. -Boosting Spin Jump: Try to time it right, in this section: 3:55 make sure to get off by jumping and twirling almost right away. -Grappling Vine: Start the course when the blocks are magmatic completely, don't step on them tho, readjust your position if needed. -INVISIBILITY. This is the last and WORST badge in the level, here is a little trick I used. So start by twirling while on the ground, you will see that you have way more understanding to where Mario is, so twirl on the ground and go bouncing, your particles will still be seen by bouncing on the platforms, for the one where you bounce from different ballooney bois is challenging, time your first jump right and guide your way through, do the final jump and you did it.
From hardest to least hard: (Raging) 1. Invisibility 2. Spring Feet (Tough especially before you get the hang of it) 3. Grappling Vine 4. Wall Climb Jump (Might die a few times but quite easy after you know how each area works) 5. Dolphin Kick 6. Jet Run 7. Floating Jump 8. Courching Jump 9. Parachute Cap 10. Spin Jump
@@jaydenh922I had between 30 and 40 lives left when I finally completed this level. I’m glad I maxed out my life count before I even took on this monster of a course.
Bruh i feel bad for everyone 😅 i went into this level with 76 lives and escaped almost unharmed with 67 left. I also beat the last 3 parts without a single death 😅 hope you guys are okay!
All I have left to get past is the end of the invisible section. I really wanted to give Daisy the honor of completing the challenge legitimately, but eventually decided it would just be better to do it as Light Blue Yoshi. Maybe it’s a more enjoyable challenge if you play it online and you can use players’s standees to recover. I’ll have to try it another time.
that only works if the other players actually place standees or wait for you 😭 while I was trying this level again a toadette player waited for me at the end of the crouch jump section, I died, and I tried to get my ghost to her... she jumped over me ON PURPOSE like three times 💀
the invisible part was the easiest for me, the part that REALLY got me was the spring feet section with the firebars. wouldnt have made it past it if it werent for a damage-boosting yoshi who revived me
@@TheTrueXaver Online didn't really help me as literally every single random I got quit so it was essentially just playing solo which was not true for any other level in the game for me.
shoutout to the yoshi I played with on this levek, they actually would stay behind and wait just to be able to revive me, AND would leave behind standees at the most clutch locations 😭 not even kidding, I kept dying for SO LONG yet this legend would die alongside me just to help me make it back through. we'd even keep communicating through emotes! it made a frustrating experience that much more fun and fulfilling, ily bucky5676 you are actually a hero i owe you one
Tried this today for about 2 hours, got stuck on the cloud part, going back in tomorrow with 99 lives, the last part have given me more issues than Champion's Road or Galaxy 2 final level. At least they give you a fair bit of checkpoints along the way.
I never got a "game over" in this game so I'm not sure what really happens when you get one... But yeah, I went into this level with 99 lives after I completed the rest of the game and got all the badges. I ended up finishing it with about 65 lives left... But you accrue a bunch of extra lives by picking up coins in the sections you repeat after dying, so I'm not sure how many total lives I used. Honestly, I probably used damn near 99 lives to beat this stage.
And people want this level to not have checkpoints? Are they insane? This level has so much trial and error in it. The later stages especially the invisibility one are harder imo not because of the badge mechanic, but because you don’t get to attempt it as much due to the checkpoint placement. Kinda hard to explain unless you’ve played the level enough times, but the earlier parts of the level/ ones closest to the checkpoint are the easiest because you would’ve done those the most after dying repeatedly. It’s the later parts like the invisibility one that are more difficult because they need more practice.
I only have played this game single player, can you only ride yoshi in multiplayer? I beat the whole game as Mario and haven't even tried the other characters lol.
I had to look it up. The invisible part is brutal. And I keep messing up the vine one. I’m glad to know the invisible part is the last part. I just HATE there’s no checkpoint for it. Put it in a different section and end on a different one. That is the dumbest power.
Honestly, I feel like the invisible section is pure luck. I tried using the "emote" technique to be able to get an idea of where Mario is on the screen, but it would just mess me up because you have to be pressing no other buttons to get it to come up... So I ended up just going for it the regular way and barely making it through. I was never able to come up with a good strategy, it's like you just have to go for it and pray that you make it lol.
as a member of the “missed the wonderful flag community” I find this video very inspirational and informational on how I could have possibly gotten a wonderful on the flag to officially 100% the game
For the part with the invisible badge, I managed to overcome it by using a physical reference point on my screen. For instance, since I was playing on my TV, I centered my remote control vertically so that it slightly extended above the screen, indicating the position of my invisible character on the screen (your character is always at the center of the screen, and you can even adjust your physical visual reference point during previous sections where your character is visible beforehand). This is very helpful, especially for the part with the balloon fish; I always made sure that my vertically held remote was pointed at a fish when making a jump, and I successfully cleared all the obstacles that way! Good luck to everyone! 💪
For anyone else struggling, I just finished this (with Yoshi). My tip would be click start and add another player so there’s “2 players”. It will give your main a crown and makes the invincibility level a little easier.
if you're still stuck on it use the sound cue the cannon makes before shooting the balloon to judge when you should jump. it makes 5 or 6 click sounds before shooting and then use the twirl button to see where mario's at
I finally finished this stage yesterday. It took over 5 hours combined and probably over 90 lives. And I missed the top of the flagpole. So I went to get two Bubble Power Ups, started the stage from the beginning, kept one of the power ups in my reserve until I got to the staircase at the end, then used bubbles to bounce off of to grab the top of the flagpole. It was so satisfying.
Hats off, that was nuts. I'm not a 100%-er and couldn't be bothered to go back for wonder seeds/flower coins I didn't grab after beating the first Final Test.
That's the worst part... It seems like a lot of people are throwing in the towel at the very last invisible section. I almost did, but I got lucky and finally made it through before I rage quit lol.
It's 5:00 in the morning and I've been doing this level since like 2:00. I just beat it. I missed the 3rd flower coin and the top of the flagpole but I don't even care!!!!! I AM DONE!!!!! That was freaking INSANE! I'm mentally drained. Edit: it's the next day and I figured I would try to 100% it and get the 3rd flower coin and top of the flagpole since I got some sleep and rested. Started at 99 lives and I literally beat it by 96 lives. I think I was just too tired last night.🤣🤣 It wasn't too bad after memorizing everything.
This level made me wish they made this game longer and tougher. I wish there was a whole game full of "Kaizo Mario" style levels like this... I also wanted more of the rhythm based levels, I really liked that one where the platforms disappear to the music and it keeps speeding up (plus the rhythm based Bowser battle was pretty neat.)
@@maverickmic yeah I didn’t even think of that, that would have been cool if it added a new difficulty level to the game. I really liked Mario Wonder, but it was just a bit too easy aside from that last level,
@@OmniversalOrca yeah I’ve played through lost levels a million times since All Stars came out. Mario Maker 2 is pretty good, but I’d rather Nintendo just make another more difficult game.
Most of this level isn't that difficult but the checkpoint placement putting you way back to the boring easy shit every time you die on the Kaizo shit (spring shoes/invisible) makes it completely unfair and torturous even with Yoshi/Nabbit
Tip for the invisible part: Mario is much easier to see when he is spinning, and will automatically spin again when bouncing on one of the balloon guys.
Just spent about 2 hours helping someone reach the goal with online play. I actually think it may have been longer. The saddest part about it all is s/he missed the top of the flagpole :( Xuan with the yellow Yoshi, whoever you are, I tried my best. I had a blast and it was truly joyous to see you able to speedrun those last 4 parts towards the end of our run. You should be proud of yourself for that last run. Made it all the way to the end without needing my help!
And so I tack this level onto my list of hardest sections of video games I've completed at least once in my life. Also, my hands hurt like hell. Thanks Nintendo :)
This level actually broke me, I’ve never spent more time on a single level in a video game in my life, and now it’s the only one I can play on this game without getting bored.
You make it look so easy. This took me 50 minutes to beat with checkpoints, the invisible part was so tilting and I barely got the golden flag. Otherwise I would’ve broken shit.
50 mins is pretty great on the first try. It took me just over 2 hours. But at least I got the three 10-coins and the top of the flagpole during that run.
I went into this level with around 35 lives initially. I was able to get to the last section but could not beat it before game over. After grinding 99 lives and trying again I was able to beat the whole thing in less than 5 tries. It's crazy how good you get at that the more you play.
I feel like im losing my mind as im playing this course, and I'm massively struggling with the invisible section at the end. I've put in what seems like 800+ attempts and i still cant get past the last section, even with the tips mentioned by others in the comments, like keeping your focus on the center of the screen. At this point, its gonna drive me crazy if i dont get through it and 100% the game. EDIT: I completed the level, missed the top of the flag pole the first time, but got it the second time. Now I'm at 100% :-).
@@Schtang80 Yeah, others had mentioned that as well. I was able to finish the level but missed the top of the flagpole the first time, i got it the second time :-).
I completed this level in the span of 3 weeks. took big breaks between sessions just cause I got frustrated in each of the 3 parts making sure to grab each flower coin. But that meant keeping the game open with my level progress and not being able to swap to any other Switch game until I finished the level. That was today. It felt really good, this game will definitely be in my core memories along with all the old 2D Mario games I played as a kid.
pretty helpful video, used it to learn the firebar patterns lol. after about 45 minutes i was able to complete my first checkpoint-less damage-less run and get the last medal ❤
this level would also make deathless 100% runs of this game pretty interesting since for me personally the last invisible section was a really big choke point. i'd lose my mind if i died at the very end of the game after hours of gameplay lol
I JUST finally beat this level a coupla days ago and I have a Love/Hate relationship with Badge Marathon! Definitely not correctly rated (should've been 7 FUCKING STARS) But the Invisibility section made me silently rage for one reason in particular asides from the others: I SPENT THE LEAST AMOUNT TIME ON IT! Don't get me wrong It's a hard section and i did try the emote trick but then the one time i realized that the mid-air spin leaves a visual particle effect..........I OWNED IT!! It was one of moments where after the initial joy faded away I was pissed off where as every section took me over 20 attempts (Over 40 for the Spring Jump) The Invisibility Section took me only 7 TRIES?! So getting to the hardest section....was actually harder than hardest section itself?!?! Daaaaaaaaaaaaaa FUK!!!!!
I just completed this! And the last lap with invisibility badge...my goodness... but i used the happy bubble thingie to track where I am exactly .It helps a lot.
This level was the first time I have ever played a level that was made like this, died 54 times as Mario but did not get a game over. 11 lives to spare, too.
This level isn't too bad when in terms of hardest mario levels, champions road and the perfect run are just way worse by a landslide. I beat this in like my 5th try.
The invisibility section isn't even an actual challenge, it's just fake difficulty designed to force you back to the last checkpoint. Was honestly expecting a real test of my skills.
I spent like...an hour in this level... That was horrible 💀 But ngl, so satisfying to complete! The bouncing part and the invisible part (obviously) were the hardest parts, for me
I've gotten through everything pretty well in Wonder. The hardest level was the timed wall jump one for me. This though? Omg, so hard! Don't know that I'll ever complete it!
it took me around 30 lives to reach the last checkpoint. and then something around 200 more lives to finish. rouhgly 1/3 of those 200 lives were lost to 4:13, the rest were lost to the last few balloon enemies. given that the speedrun and twirl are both super easy once you know the course, this gave enough coins to never run out of lives. still, the invisibility simply cripples the gameplay experience, i enjoyed all sections except the last one.
Just completed it and my thumb *hurts* . Weirdly enough i didn’t struggle with the invisible part, but the 2 sections prior to that was absolute hellish
for anyone struggling with the invisibility part, i put a very small piece of tape in the centre of my screen, in order to know where I would land while bouncing on those balloons
I just made it to the invisible section today and died when I tried to go for the purple coin. 😂 Might be best to hold out until Nintendo patches in a checkpoint at the start of the section. I can hope!
They’re not gonna patch in a checkpoint. The whole point is that it’s the final stretch, you’re supposed to drop into the last section and groan at how there isn’t a checkpoint. It’s a true “Oh shit…” moment. :P
Just completed the game after choking multiple times on the spring and invisibility segments Main thing to focus on is coins. Honestly, if you’re repeating the segments long enough, you’ll stay at the same number of lives as you did when you respawned
Having not played a mario game in too many years to count this level was a refreshing surprise. I tried beating it for about 2.5 hours and then quit for the night. I got back on the next night and beat it after about 20 minutes but missed the top of the flag pole. Took me another 4 tries to get the top. This level was awesome!
Shit, that really could have helped the countless deaths I had on the balloon enemies at the end, didn’t even think of that. I still got it, but after a TON of frustration.
To the Daisy player, who waited for me in every section of the level but died at the very last part and being unabled to come back, I salute you and dedicate this victory to you.

Not adding a checkpoint before the invisibility section is one of the most evil decisions in video game making history!
I thought the vine section was harder myself… because of the trick of using emotes to pinpoint your character’s location.

Using emotes can pinpoint your character’s height. I found that trick out when I accidentally pressed the X button while bouncing off the bloomps
After 50 lives, I can officially say that I completed it.
If checkpoints weren’t in the level, it would be the hardest Mario level in history
If only there was a checkpoint at the invisible badge part....
Like seriously whoever thought to not add a checkpoint there is pure evil....
Like if you die at that section you have to redo 3 other sections just to try again....
As the video shows, you can skip checkpoints on purpose. Maybe it was intentional for people who crave challenge

Spring Feet was the hardest part for me
I started this level with 98 lives. I wasted my whole day trying to beat it but, I couldn’t. Bruh I swear, as I kept on trying, I thought to myself “It would be so freaking funny if I made it on my last try before I run out of lives”… and on my last life, I FREAKING MADE IT! I was starting to get so annoyed but I made it on my last try!
congrats, to this once in a lifetime moment :)
Section 1: Parachute Cap
Restart if you take damage. Wait a slight bit before jumping in to change the cycle, and don’t be afraid to move around and let go of the button briefly to get through
Section 2: Floating High Jump
Ground pound to get through the piranha plants at the beginning and when the platform dips into the lava, but you don’t need it anywhere else. Carefully placed normal jumps should be enough
Section 3: Dolphin Kick
Follow right after the lightning strikes to give yourself the biggest margin for error, and move in a zigzag pattern for the last bit before the exit pipe
Section 4: Crouching High Jump
If you didn’t set ground pound to ZL only, you might input one by accident after crouch jumping if you’re still holding down, most likely killing you
Section 5: Wall-Climb Jump
As soon as you enter, don’t hesitate, just keep moving. The first melon piranha is timed so that you can almost immediately start jumping, and the cycles of the fireballs will line up so that you don’t have to wait to avoid them
Section 6: Spring Feet
If you kept your drills, damage boost through the fire bars, but get through as many as you can normally first. Drill is best as fire flower isn’t as quickly farmable, elephant has a huge hitbox, and bubble may throw off your jumps if bounced on by accident
Section 7: Jet Run
If they’re messing you up, think of the run-offs as part of the platform itself. You don’t have to worry about cycles here, the missile megs will always appear, and there will always be three of them. If you fall off higher up, know where the lower platforms are and try to save yourself
Section 8: Boosting Spin Jump
Don’t be hasty, wait for your cycle and take your shot. Follow the coins closely on the boost rails, especially the last jump, as spinning too early or too late will both kill you
Section 9: Grappling Vine
Activate the vine when you’re level with where you want to go. All the hot-hot rocks are on the same cycle, so use the ones around you to time the ones ahead
Section 10: Invisibility
You can use emotes to tell where you are, but keep in mind you can’t emote and dash at the same time. Jumping, falling and especially spinning are your best way to know where you are in the air, since they all have particle effects. Remember to hold both Y and B, and focus on the middle of the screen, since the camera centers around you
All good tips, thank you! ❤

@@aidanmoore8751 I honestly didn't find it so bad because the 3 areas you need to redo are very consistently clearable and give you around 100 coins with the beginning of the invisibility area so you don't run the risk of a Game Over.

That last section was a nightmare. Easily the hardest level in the game
Same here! It's definitely one of the best 2D Mario ever. Everything feels so fresh, fun and rewarding.
@@theblueoctopus4494wow it's like the last level is there so there's a challenge for people or something

Therapist: dont worry! Pain is invisible! You cant see it!
Pain:
the invisible is an actual pain 🤣
For anyone struggling with the Invisible section, here's what finally helped me beat it:
1. Play with two players, P1 is Yoshi, and P2 is Nabbit
2. Have Nabbit ride Yoshi
I didn’t even think to emote.
@@unoriginalusername4416 that didn't work for me. You can't just "make Yoshi have the crown". Not how the game works
Yeah you can. Holding both L and R for a few seconds will voluntarily ghost your character and give the crown to someone else. Or just drop your non-Yoshi character into the pit. Two players, only one other place it can go.@@ChelseaRustad
I don't care what anyone says, I used Yoshi and still lost 85 of my 99 lives.

This level is pure torture. Especially the invisible part at the end. Whoever created the invisibility badge needs to burn in hell.

My advice: use your carried powerup to tank the last section of the firebars in the forced jump section. The extra powerup won't be any use in the last checkpoint anyway.
This is what I did and got it first try. I'm glad I did because its one of the harder parts of the level and it leads to a checkpoint.
Tfw you don’t have a carried power up and don’t want to start the whole level over
Those fireballs were brutal. I never thought I would pass them.
i fluked the fire bars on my first time through. that invisibility section though…
I did this exact strategy when I did my run. That part is really tough to do without taking a single hit (especially the end part), so having that buffer with a powerup makes a world of difference!
Here are some helpful tips to make your life less miserable with this final level:
-Parachute Cap:
Try to just not die, that one is pretty easy as long as you follow the coin path.
-Floating High Jump:
Ground pound often, do it at the beggining of a difficult section (piranha plants, the poison)
But don't do it too often because you will be too slow and die.
-Dolphin Kick:
As soon as the first barrier is done, DONT do another dolphin kick as you will still get the boost when you enter the entrance of the loop-around section.
Either do how the dude did it in the video for the final section or do it without kicking, it is possible without kicking.
-Crouching High Jump:
Get the pattern down, you must know when to jump and when to crouch high jump.
-Wall-Climb Jump:
Get the pattern down, you can get help by the little things in the ground (i forgot the name)
-Spring Feet:
This one SUCKS. For the final section, try to mega jump when the fireball is on the right side and it is at the height of the ground. Like so it aligns with the floor basically. Twirling makes it easier.
-Jet Run:
Get used to the controls, remember you get to keep running instead of falling down when you walk off a platform! Twirling is recommended.
-Boosting Spin Jump:
Try to time it right, in this section: 3:55 make sure to get off by jumping and twirling almost right away.
-Grappling Vine:
Start the course when the blocks are magmatic completely, don't step on them tho, readjust your position if needed.
2:56 man saw his life flash before his eyes.
From hardest to least hard:
(Raging)
1. Invisibility
2. Spring Feet
(Tough especially before you get the hang of it)
3. Grappling Vine
4. Wall Climb Jump
(Might die a few times but quite easy after you know how each area works)
5. Dolphin Kick
6. Jet Run
7. Floating Jump
8. Courching Jump
9. Parachute Cap
10. Spin Jump

The last part is definitely the worst & unfair since it's blind fate.
Emoting helps tell where you are. Otherwise, use clouds and other subtle visual cues.
It’s meant to be hard by any means necessary. But if you struggle so much maybe have player 2 with you since there would be a crown floating above you
I used the mid-air spin visual cue!
It's not really unfair, you can know where you are by spinning.

It’s the later parts like the invisibility one that are more difficult because they need more practice.
the fire walls part for me was the most intense aspect of this level, it was brutal lol
This was such a fun final challenge level, really liked it. Also, they're such trolls for doing the invisible section last lol
In the invisibility section yoshi helped me a lot, as he sweats and you can see the drops

I love watching a 7 minute video of a clear that took me 5 hours.
as a member of the “missed the wonderful flag community” I find this video very inspirational and informational on how I could have possibly gotten a wonderful on the flag to officially 100% the game
You saved me with that tip! Thank you so much! 😭🙏🏻
For anyone else struggling, I just finished this (with Yoshi). My tip would be click start and add another player so there’s “2 players”. It will give your main a crown and makes the invincibility level a little easier.

HOLY SHIT THATS GENIUS!
This is by far the hardest Mario level I have ever played and I’ve played most of them.
3:11 'checkpoint? I don't need no checkpoint!'
I love this comment section. So many new people coming to terms with the age-old brutality of final levels in Mario games.
Was honestly expecting a real test of my skills.
fr. ain’t no way they think you can do this invisible. had to cheat a little and use emotes and the stands of other players to get through with it
This level made me have an anxiety attack, but I managed to beat it
I spent like...an hour in this level... That was horrible 💀
But ngl, so satisfying to complete!
The bouncing part and the invisible part (obviously) were the hardest parts, for me
It's easy with Nabbit, but tougher with Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, the Toads, and Toadette, including Yoshi.
I've gotten through everything pretty well in Wonder. The hardest level was the timed wall jump one for me. This though? Omg, so hard! Don't know that I'll ever complete it!
That level was the worst for me too!
it took me around 30 lives to reach the last checkpoint. and then something around 200 more lives to finish. rouhgly 1/3 of those 200 lives were lost to 4:13, the rest were lost to the last few balloon enemies. given that the speedrun and twirl are both super easy once you know the course, this gave enough coins to never run out of lives. still, the invisibility simply cripples the gameplay experience, i enjoyed all sections except the last one.
Just completed it and my thumb *hurts* . Weirdly enough i didn’t struggle with the invisible part, but the 2 sections prior to that was absolute hellish
Thank you so much for being my guide through this level. It only took 42 lives! Impressive I must say! 😂
I spent 200 lives on the first part. Havnt even reached the last 3 badges pf this challenge. Yall make me so proud.
for anyone struggling with the invisibility part, i put a very small piece of tape in the centre of my screen, in order to know where I would land while bouncing on those balloons
I just made it to the invisible section today and died when I tried to go for the purple coin. 😂
Might be best to hold out until Nintendo patches in a checkpoint at the start of the section. I can hope!
They’re not gonna patch in a checkpoint. The whole point is that it’s the final stretch, you’re supposed to drop into the last section and groan at how there isn’t a checkpoint. It’s a true “Oh shit…” moment. :P
@@Meowler I forgot to update this but I actually managed to clear the invisible section with Yoshi. He makes that part so much easier.
Just completed the game after choking multiple times on the spring and invisibility segments
Main thing to focus on is coins.
Honestly, if you’re repeating the segments long enough, you’ll stay at the same number of lives as you did when you respawned
indeed. you may fail very often but soon you’ll get the hang of it and it’ll be easy peasy
Super cool run! I just finished mine 100% game. was able to take the flag too at the ending. i took like 120+ lives and a few hours. lol
Fun fact. Use the greetings during the the final section. Get in a pattern of hitting X after every jump and your never lose track of yourself.
Shit, that really could have helped the countless deaths I had on the balloon enemies at the end, didn’t even think of that.
I still got it, but after a TON of frustration.
Kudos. This is the only level I have not beat yet.
THE SPRING JUMP SECTION BRO THATS A FUCKING NIGHTMARE😭😭😭
