  • This is how you clean up your 350 CR an make a small oil change.
    I'm not able to afford all professional tools to make a professional service. Please keep that in mind, as some method may seems a bit...sketchy.
    Please watch Ronnie first, he explains everything in a good way:

    "as some method may seems a bit...sketchy" - it aint an excuse, because you dont need special tools or removing topcaps and damper to change oil in the lowers. Just unscrew footnuts, pull off the lowers, clean everything in the lowers... twice, apply grease on the seals, put the lowers back, add something like 20cc of oil in each leg, screw footnuts back. If you want clean air spring assembly, after removing lowers unscrew the topcap make sure there is no pressure in air chamber), remove that foam ring and aluminum washer from the end of the piston and remove air spring assemply from the top.

    Thanks for the video! Only thing I would suggest is that instead of forcing the dust seals in with a screwdriver, you can wrap an old inner tube around the top of the stanchion and use it in much the same way you'd use a proper seal press - it worked perfectly for me.

      DrCorm can you please illustrate or explain somehow your idea with tube as press?.. tnx

      @@ka81alex Sorry for the late response, UA-cam never bothered to tell me you'd asked! Watch their official service video: (ua-cam.com/video/HLnY-Gap-1M/v-deo.html) - at 7:17 you can see he uses two bits of plastic to push evenly around the top of the seal to press it in. I basically replicated that with an old tube (cut so that it was like a hollow 2.2m long strap instead of a sealed tube), at 12:11 in this video wrap it around the stanchion near the crown as tightly as you can, so that when you push the fork in, the tube pushes around the outside of the seal. Does this help?

    Hi! I have 2 questions:
    1: You mentioned at the beginning of the video, that the blue marked cartridge contains the oil for dampening, but at 11:40 you fill the oil into the legs simply. where do I have to fill the oil? Into the cartridge or to the legs? I want to change the oil for my fork.
    2: how can I take out the rebound adjuster knob at the bottom of the fork?
    Thank you!

    I have had great luck with spreading some "slick honey" on the bushings and between the dust and oil seals prior to reassembly to stop the stiction.

    I also ran oil over the seals, and turned the fork upside down before riding, marzocchi told me to give it 10 hours of riding too and after over 170 miles the problem persists

    I got confused in the old question, the bar that I need to know is the number 67 that I got the oil and I do not know how much it takes. The only thing I've seen in the manual is that the left bar carries 150cc, which is where mine goes by the dock.
    And in the right bar carries 25 cc to lubricate.
    If you can help me, I would appreciate it. a greeting
    My fork is the Mazorcchi 350 R

    I don't understand why your air units yellow foam and it's metal knob is all together with the air unit. In my fork it's separated. I don't know if it's damaged...

    Does anybody knows is the procedure same on 55cr 2014? Fork was bought last year and riden for maybe 15 hours, but it has alot of stiction, so many in fact than when i stand on my pedals and jump on them up and down only rear end flexes, but the fork stays in place, it wont go up or down

    Hello !
    Good afternoon!
    I need help with a mazorchi 350 r fork and I need to know if anyone knows how much oil the air cartridge carries since I empty it without realizing it when I take it out. I have seen in the forum that the bottle on the left carries 150cc and 25 cc on the right, but the one on the air was quite high but I do not know how much.
    If someone can inform me, I would appreciate it.
    Thanks and best regards

    I heard we can do travel adjust from 160 to 150cm. How to do it?

    • @matthias6353
      @matthias6353  3 роки тому +1

      At 0:22 you see part number 50. That spring regulate how much travel you have. If you want less travel you need to put in at spacer (with 1cm length) in there. You need a spacer that can resist oil. And you need to install rattlefree.

    Hi, when you add the oil , you don't measure it, but stranger for me is that you add it without screwing the screws, why does not the oil fall on the table?.
    Thanks.

    • @matthias6353
      @matthias6353  6 років тому

      Adding oil to the "left" (nondrive) side is just for lubrication. Its purpose is to lubricate the moving parts.
      Its not essential if you put a few ml to much in it.
      The fork should compress all the way without the oil blocking the travel of the fork.

    quick question, my 2015 cr has a ton of sticktion and lacks small bump sensitivity, I replaced the oil in the lowers with no luck, any suggestions?

    • @matthias6353
      @matthias6353  8 років тому

      +BikingWithCamo Marzocchi works with two seperate seals (Oil and Dustseals). Therefore there is more friction than RockShox or Fox. But there is also less dirt in it ;)
      To handle this "fact" you can put oil between the two seals (as i have shown in the video).
      The up and down movement of the stanchions will transport the oil out of these seals. So you have to repeat it over and over again.
      On past forks marzocchi put a foam ring between these two seals. The foamring is full of oil and so lubricates the stanchions. But once the rings run dry you got a more sticky feeling.
      marzocchiworkshop.blogspot.de/2013/02/tuning-tip-oiling-foam-ring.html
      Clean the stanchion before every ride and put a little bit oil around the stanchions.
      You better ride less air pressure and more compression
      By just moving the fork in the garage it won't feel pretty. But on the trail the forks works really well ( ua-cam.com/video/8z6qHgaWPbQ/v-deo.html )
      If thats not enough for you, you can buy the SKF seals mountainbikes.net/mtbikes/produkt.cfm?ctry=1&za=1&lc=1&curcd=1&cid=82FE847B-5056-B502-E5C7EB0AE661D0F8&hc=2&PNR=26105&katid=297
      They improve it also.

    Hey so at 4:21 you mention to not push in the rod. I accidently pushed in the rod....BUT it was before taking it out of the fork. Am I ok? or did I mess anything up. This is my first time working on a fork ever so I'm just being extra cautious.

    • @matthias6353
      @matthias6353  7 років тому

      The problem with pushing the rod is, that the damping catridge could fall apart because its only stuck together.
      As long as there is no massive oil leaking everything should be fine.

      With my 90+kg i had about 7bars in it. Compression half way turned in and rebound adjusted so that the fork would popup to hard.

    Is there a place between dust and oil seals to place a foam oil rings ? It should significantly improve the sensitivity.

    Hello.
    Help please.
    I disassembled Marzocchi 350 NCR and turned a little bit in-and-out compression rod, and now I don’t know in what position should it be before assembling the fork.
    Tell me please, before installing comression nut on what depth was the rod? If I use remote lever for lockout (not manual adjuster) should it be turned inside-down to depth of 6 mm?
    Here they say about 6 mm depth, BUT it’s a video about manual adjuster (if it’s important) - ua-cam.com/video/Bd5MgKJ0muQ/v-deo.html
    Thank you!!
