She is actually playing the vocal and music... That's something extraordinary... Wow girl you Rock to the core
Great job! Always love that song
It's called fingerstyle. She is good though
It's called fingerstyle, nothing special here, every songs have a fingerstyle version/tabs, you just have to have patience to learn it
you hear the words in her song
@@Professional-Sinner To say “nothing special here” is reductive and ridiculous. She’s a very accomplished guitarist and arranger who worked hard to come up with this arrangement herself, that inspires other gigging musicians like myself to work harder and be better. Don’t diminish other people’s accomplishments by saying anyone could do that if they worked hard enough. While, true, it takes away from the fact that she actually took the time and did the work and created something fantastic.
I don't think people commenting even begin to understand the level of difficulty it is to play like that. This girl is loaded with talent. She's not only playing the song...she's actually playing the vocal melody over the pattern of the song....world class!!
Topsey Kretts Yes to that. People who have spent time learning songs appreciate it on a deeper level and know how long it takes to get it down just right. That song has some very deep lyrics, which together with the music just has genius written all over it.
So true, until you actually try it it's hard to grasp how hard it is, not even remotely like playing a chord sequence or even your average solo, it's the two combined.
Honey she is such a beautiful wonderful woman and she has a beautiful heart! That's what I am looking for!
Preach
Topsey Kretts … Gabriella takes it one step further than you describe … she did the arrangement herself. For those that don't know what that entails, Gabriella has created the piece of music in order to play both the chords and melody together - that is difficult and time consuming to figure out. You'll note in her earliest videos, she was using the arrangements done by other musicians.
SHE IS TRULY A MASTER AT HER TECHNIQUE... SO BEAUTIFUL TO HEAR HER PLAY ...
when you can hear the words coming from her guitar , ahhhhhh it is pure love
Jim Croce would be so very proud. An superb arrangement of his classic.
This was my little brothers favorite song. He passed away in December. Thank you for playing it so well
oh...
rest in peace
Hallo Lauryu,
I don't know you but your response resonate With Me.
I'm so sorry to hear about your little brother. I hope you are doing well. I wish you the best.
Rest in peace 🥺
Hi Lauryn, so sad news....rest in peace....listening this song with angels
mine too and she plays it so beautifully, speaks to my soul
I was almost disappointed when she didn't start singing, but the guitar is so beautifully played it didn't matter. Incredible talent. Thanks for sharing
it is so hard to play a cover like she is, she actually playing the guitar and vocals at the same time. I love this cover
I always prefer no vocals at least when somebody covers something and is young cause their vocal influences are horrific......most sound like injured sheeps or Adele or crappy voiceless followers.....this version is so perfect and majestic that vocals aren't necessary !....congratulations lady !....you rock !
Wow. I’ve played off and on for 50+ years - I can tell you this artist is a big deal. What excellent tone, excellent skill, great arrangement
All my years of playing And at 70 years old it is a great pleasure to witness such fine arrangements and ease of playing thank you for coming along in my lifetime....
Hector Romero I'm 60 year old musician guitarist songwriter. I couldn't agree more! A young woman extremely talented guitarist arranger soon to be composer if not already! What a gift from God himself.
Keep it in your pants grandpa
ßlack White lol ice cold,. I give gramps max 3 more years
@@mrjackbilbo Glad they're not yours to give... We all know what you give yourself though...
al capone & Black White, everyone relates to what is in their pants, but not everyone relates everything they say and do to what's in their pants. From Mr Romero's comment, I'd think he has more Life in him than some of us in this thread.
She’s very talented. The timing, the phrasing, the feel. Really really good.
Jim Croce wrote many songs. This is one of his most difficult pieces. And the way you play it, one of his best.
I opted for Crose's ship wreck song. I grew up around the Great Lakes and that tune kind of found me. However when I got a job actually working on a great lakes ship and brought my guitar, when I played that song just once for my follow seamen, the guys said, " Hell No!! " They truly wanted to steal all the strings off my guitar if I ever played it again. So I quickly learned Alvis' Jail House Rock tune. Silly, but true.
I think you mean "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot.
@@davidraymond8994 I saw that too. *_The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down of the big lake they call, Gitche Gumee._* That ballad still brings a tear to my eye after almost 50 years of listening to it.
Your beautiful music brings tears to my eyes. Thank you, Gabriella Quevado, for making an old man happy.
A favourite song of an old guy and ex-guitar player. I suspect that Jim Groce would hold his breath at the style, grace and fluency of your playing. Beautifully and sensitively executed.
I’m a secure enough man to admit that I just shed a few tears because that arrangement is so beautiful it made my heart ache... 😢
That's amazing wow what a difficult song to play and it's like no big deal for you. I play a little and I am jealous. Keep it up love listening to you play.
Ive played for 30 years..off and on. Not this good !!!!!
I've only ever tried a little - enough to make my mind boggle at where she finds those Chords + then stick to playing around with a violin again, one day when I've repaired the bow. My head will probablly have to keep hoping !
Total fingerpicking. Flawless control. Doing that on a six string. I'm blown away. What a talent you have.
Thank you for making my day a little nicer, a little brighter.
I love those classic songs.
A very talented guitarist. She has serious chops and produces very tasteful arrangements. She is the real deal.
What a beautiful performabce. First saw this video today and it's now my favorite Gabriella performance.
Very well done. Jim Croce is a folk legend here where I live. He spent his formative years living down the road from me (Lyndell, PA). He also went to my High School (Upper Darby, PA). They are putting up a plaque to recognize the old Farm house he lived in that is still there. Would love to hear more of your renditions of Jim Croce songs. Thank you for this one.
I love your arrangements! You are an extremely talented artist! Thank you for sharing your hard work and gift to this style of music! I appreciate you!
Jimmy Polanco 👌
I absolutely love listening to this talented woman. She's quite intriguing. I love the camera glances as if to say "did you like that bit?".
Her dad must be so proud of her.
Beautiful, really quite beautiful. Especially when you consider the original was played on two guitars.
Beautifully played. It does my old heart good to see young people embracing the music I grew up with. Gabriella isn't much older than I was when this song was big hit on American radio along with other Jim Croce songs like "Operator", "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and "Don't Mess Around with Jim". BRAVA, Gabriella!
I’m lucky to have only discovered you this year. Now I have around 9 or 10 years of your previous work to go through.
Your music is a gift to us all.
Thanks
I was first disappointed when I realized it wasn't a vocal cover. Then I kept watching... Incredible.
Overland and Chill Same here!
The amazing guitar made up for that ok !
me the same
have always loved acoustic guitar and this is one of the reasons, vocals would have been a nice extra but who's complaining. cheers.
All her songs are vocal covers. She sings in your mind, with her guitar.
Jim Croce, that song really brings back some memories (Time in a Bottle, Operator, I Got a Name)...Your arrangement is magical and I loved it...thanks for letting us listen...
Extremely complicated arrangement and you make it sound so beautiful and make it look effortless. Your music is magical. Thank you. ❤
Anyone else come back to watch this every once in a while
Manuel I love this old music it’s all me and my dad listen to
jayaveeran 😂 that’s true but her talent is so high it’s incredible to listen to
jayaveeran haha you think she’s reading this?
jayaveeran true true but they don’t even know her personality
I haven't stopped watching it.... mezmorized!
Beautiful
I didn't think it possible without vocals, but yes!
Jim Croce was listening and smiling
lyrics (if u want to sing along):
If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is to save every day 'til eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you
If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
I'd save every day like a treasure, and then
Again, I would spend them with you
But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go through time with
If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty
Except for the memory of how they were answered by you
But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go through time with
This song is incredibly difficult.
Bravo
No easy tune. Graceful, and beyond beautiful. Magnificent!
you played perfect. everytime i hear this song i think about my mother who i dearly miss. thanks for bring times back.
it’s like I can hear his voice. Most covers that try to arrange both the melody and the harmony do it in a different octave, but this one... absolutely perfect.
Talent is funny thing
Difficulty level....11 out of 10
ponzo1967 talent is just love + hard work
Incredible , how beautiful. Thanks for sharing your music
ADORABILE GABRIELLA !!!!!! ...e io TI ADORO !!!!!! ♥️ GRAZIE DI ESISTERE , TESORO !!!!!!
Outstanding. Wonderful. You have a beautiful picking style, and a stellar sense of phrasing and dynamics. I’m not sure that the average listener would notice those things, but for those of us who are musicians, believe me... we notice. 😉
Beautifully done!
😊❤️
I can't imagine how long you study music, but like everyone that dedicates themselves to something they love, you're awesome, congratulations it's a beautiful music, played by a beautiful guitar player!
José Henrique She said she's never studied music ...self-taught and copies/arranges songs by ear. Which makes it even.more amazing.
hahaha, impressive, well i'm learnig alone too, but i'am far from her, and i'm trying to learn classical guitar, it's hard work but worth it, Gabriella your're amazing congratulations.
@@TheHappyFallen WTF really?!?!?!? Damn 0_0.....
Really great and musical! The arrangement uses all the best sounds the guitar has! Well thought out and brilliantly executed!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely fantastic. Incredible talent.
Привет из России. Как ты всетаки красиво исполняешь.невероятно.Огромное тебе спасибо за твои труды. Ты очень талантлива. Таких единицы.
Superb rendition of an all time classic, beautiful smile too, Jim would be proud 🎵🙂
I could listen to this all day
... I did listen to this all day...
Tabs downloading!!
Габриэлла, спасибо за красивое исполнение! Ты молодец!
In 1975, my wife and I got married. This was and still is our favorite song. We have now been married 49 years. Jim Croce was an awesome Musician! I love your way of playing it!
I loved every thing about this especially your pretty smile and the tune.
It's prfect
I love the sound of your guitar and the way you play WOW !
Beautiful performance and arrangement. Loved it!
In the early 1960’s I met Jim Croce when he was working at the Car Wash in NiagaraFalls New York USA 🇺🇸 and he was sitting playing guitar 🎸 and as a car pulled out he set his guitar on the chair and asked me to keep an eye 👁 it as he wiped the water 💦 off the car.
And in his song “Working at the car wash blues” he sings at the end of the song “Living in NiagaraFalls was the worse time of his life”
Amazing story! Oh Lord grant eternal rest
and let perpetual light shine upon the soul of Jim Croce! Amen!
its really a sad tale when you understand he had worked multiple jobs just to fund his music he never really made any money even with his incredible talent.
That's awesome
I consider you fortunate you met him. I was five when he died in the plane crash
& like many have grown up listening to his tunes
Damn , that's AWESOME Brother . Thanks for sharing that story !!!
One of my favorites, I'll bet Jim Croce is dancing just past the pearly gates to your terrific arrangement. You are so talented.
Ralph Ross I
The playing is Greattt that smile melts me every time wow
One of my all time favorite songs, played absolutely beautifully. I was low-key expecting you to sing, but am completely blown away by how you played it. Thank you for this
Just beautiful, this is a true blessing to listen to, thank you so much for this
what type of guitar?
It appears to be a Taylor 914ce with some options.
Masterpiece !
They are very pretty looking guitars with the rosewood back and sides. I guess these are very expensive too. I read a page of reviews on the ce range and I was surprised they got a mixed bag. Some said they are very good, others said too expensive and better guitars are out there for the same price in the 914ce and lower models. I mention this because when I saw Gabriella playing this and other videos I initially thought what a clear sound and the guitar looks just beautiful. So I'm asking you are these guitars well made and worth the money.? I'm looking to buy an acoustic but I'm overwhelmed with the hundreds of models and brands to choose from. I want it to be comfortable to play on and some I have played really hurt my habds with cramping...I want it to feel like an electric guitar so with a low action:)
Mickeyislowd I'm sure they sponsor her...if they don't they should!
Cuando creía haber visto todos sus videos, me sorprendo de encontrar alguno que no vi, pero me alegro, pues cualquiera de ellos supera al anterior.
Gabriella and her guitar are the epitome of beauty and music combined!
Wow, her fingerpicking is so clean.very jealous right now.
Thee most beautiful song Jim Croce wrote. Thank you Gabriella from Doug up in Green Bay, WI. You've a God given talent and Thank you for sharing it with us.
Incredible talent!! Thanks for the music. How is the audio being recorded? Great sound quality...
Jeff Comeau that was my immediate thought, too! great playing, but the sound quality is what blows it! it feels like she plays this in my room!
i still can’t get over how amazing this arrangement is, how wonderfully you played, and how beautiful you look all at the same time!
The authority and comfort level you have achieved is wonderful to hear!
THIS IS MORE AMAZING THE MORE TIMES I WATCH THIS YOU ARE A 100/100 WITHOUT A DOUBT
I spent YEARS trying to learn the rhythm part alone. You nailed both the melody and rhythm beautifully. Nice key transposing!
Великолепно, как всегда прекрасна...
Did you by any chance made the tabs for this? Great arrangement.
Очень приятно звучит! Красивейшая игра!
Perfeita!!! ... Deve ter chulé! Não pode ser tão perfeita!
thank you for working hard and practicing daily and sharing your God given talent with the world
Every song you chose to play is your talent and the skill and timing of your fingers on the strings, it really soothes the ears, especially this song. You're amazing!
this is a stunning performance of a masterpiece of a song.
If anyone ever wanted to understand the difference between a 'guitar player' and a 'guitarist'...here's an especially good representation of the latter.
No Question about it 👍👍
@@harperjones9781 I've been getting back into playing. (Self-taught as a 12-year old, and I taught others along the way.) And I'm doing OK. Creating some nifty interludes on the fretboard. But I know in my heart that I will probably never be anything more than just a good guitar player.
I took a few lessons as a kid but was Never able to play anything like this young lady.
A guitarist is literally a word for someone who plays guitar. Maybe dont redefine words
@@connorhenderson2943 jeez
Fun police is here
I am lost for words , excellent guitar player and excellent performance "
There's something about Jim Croce I haven't been able to find elsewhere.
Awesome! Thank you for taking me back to a special time in my life.
I just love it the way you played. Perfection....
Your one of the finest fingerstyle, pickers I've ever heard. Your also one of the most beautiful woman ever ...
Great work. So much passion, and perfect transformation into an instrumental!
Gabriella Quevedo. She's an angel bringing joy through music. We are blessed to have her. I would love to hear her play starry starry night. It makes me cry everytime i hear it. Even when i play it myself. We love you Gabriella!
She played the vocal, the music and your heart all at once..
Well said friend.
Considering the original was played on both guitars and she kept the vocal line as the highest voice throughout the arrangement... I absolutely think even your praise doesn't go far enough. I'm quite sure even Muehleisen himself would have been blown away by this!
This has always been a beautiful and yet haunting song because of Jim's tragic death. You absolutely brought this song to an amazing level! So stunning! Thank you!
Wow! I just ran into this while looking for the original. Then I spot this thumbnail of this gorgeous gal so, I click and I hear this wonderful arrangement. I found myself mesmerized, enchanted, enthralled. I've known the song for many years now but, to hear this girl's arrangement of it just blew me away. made me sentimental and made me aware of her musical power. She has mastered a stylethat is totally difficult to master and, believe it folks, she's a gift to the world of music lovers. I sub and liked.
You are unbelievable! Thank you for posting on UA-cam. Because of you, at 67 I am back taking fingerpicking guitar lessons!
Gabriela... Sos muy linda.... y te salió espectacular este tema. Saludos desde Paraguay...!!!
I so enjoy your renditions because no plays exactly alike as all guitarist well known . You love of music definitely shows ! God bless 🙏
Hi Gabriella. I don't know how you do it, but don't stop. Jim Croce is an old time favorite of mine, especially Time in a Bottle. Your performances are magnificent and very well done. Thank you for your inspirations of your beautiful music!
Beautiful!
I thought it was fantastic thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with the world.
Oh my God. I'm at a loss for words. This is genius.
That is one of my favorite songs and was so proud of myself when I could actually play it without fumbling through it...but hearing you play this is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING...Your talent and abilities are beyond words!!
I have yet to hear you play something I haven't been impressed by or enjoyed!
You are absolutely incredible!!!
Will always be a HUGE FAN!!❤❤
Razor!
Any chance you have tabs sir?
@@Unfilteredcuts25
Never learned to play by "tabs"..
I have his and many others song books that have the chords in them and I sing the different songs. Sorry I don't have the tabs..
Every time I watch you I'm blown away by your talent.............. Beautiful thanks
It's amazing how effortless you make these songs look to play and I KNOW they are not. Beautiful guitar playing I'm glad I found your channel. Thanks
Hi! I have just discovered your channel! I love this kind of guitar playing and you are excellent at it. Your arrangement of the songs make it so enjoyable to listen to. You have a an outstanding talent and thank you for sharing it. I can't wait to show your videos to others! Thanks again. Take care.
You are simply the greatest. I don't even know how that's possible!
The most beautiful thing in the universe
Thanks Gabriella i love your arrangement of (time in a bottle).
Those dynamics with the melody!!! Damn
I just wanted to hear Jim’s voice while the sound was playing, this song was actually written about his son AJ, how he didn’t have a lot of time to spend with him.
And how true that was
Wow you are so adorable! So cool you did this! I mentioned this song when you did "The Sound Of Music" and now you are arranging it! We all love this classic! Thank you Gabriella!!!
After listening to her arrangement of "All My Favorite Things" I asked her if she could do this song as well.
I noticed that. It didn't take long to learn and post it really well played. I guess when you've got it, you've got it.
Спасибо..!!! Умничка!!! Удачи тебе в творчестве!!!! И улыбайся, всегда улыбайся!!!!
Croce songs almost always have a high level of difficulty (not because he intended) but because he was a master guitarist... this playing of his structure is sublime (well done)
He also had Maury Muehleisen backing him, most of his instrumental work is actually in the form of duets. Yes, this young lady is an excellent player.
That was beautiful. Are you being held captive...the background never changes? been listening to you for awhile now always a favorite break to sit, listen, and watch you play. Thank you,..and always B.Strong88 I think I was subscriber #9 or 10
