Please, Deborer took over a playoff team, the core of players remained except Downs, but he was replaced by Saab and now Hubbard who has played well. Losing to Vandy is inexcusable and the play against Oklahoma was terrible.
Even with players leaving, there is still top talent at the school. But my bet is that once DeBoer can get the players he needs for the style of play he has, Bama will be back on top. Right now, his coaching clashes with the current players who were under Saban’s coaching. Give DeBoer three years and we’ll see if he’s the right fit.

Nothing to be afraid of with Milroe turning the ball over. All teams have to do is stack the line of scrimmage and make Milroe beat you throwing the ball.

Playoff teams in the NFL have records like 9-8 and 10-7. With that being said a 9-3 college team is definitely worthy of a playoff spot with the right resume.

It’s his first year and he had to put a staff together really quick to try and keep a roster together, so I think he’s going to make some adjustments in the offseason and get some great players in the portal to fill in a few spots and recruit some great players! Roll Tide!

It’s very commendable that he took the job in Bama when other coaches declined it because they know how much judgements they would get from all the populations including the nooks and crannies places. Everyone saying Alabama doesn’t deserve to be in the playoffs but we have one of the toughest schedules while a good amount of the teams in the running have played nobody in the top 25 this season. I mean you have SMU and Boise State whose strength of schedules are 77th and 81st. You can say all you want but the SEC is the hardest conference to play in, especially on the road. We have 3 or 4 wins over top 25 teams.
The funny thing is, Bama beat the "Hard" teams and lost to the trash teams minus Tennessee. Your sor and sos doesn't really matter if you lose to the absolute worst teams.
Y'all made the same exact case about Florida State last year because you all have a harder schedule excuse for playing awful the reason you have a hard schedule is because y'all are ALABAMA there's different expectations for you I should expect y'all to easily be able to handle your schedule as much as people expect Boise State to handle their schedule but if y'all want to sit here and cry because y'all can't WORK through your schedule and you'd rather have an SMU type schedule just to be able to win all your games? They do have bias. But it isn’t unjust. Alabama and UGA have won in the post season when given that “bias.” If the sec just got in every year and pulled a TCU two years ago, then you can be mad about it.

I thought the 12 team playoff would make it easier, but it has made it drastically more contentious over the entire country. I am a BAMA fan and have been all my life. For a first time coach at BAMA he is already a record setter. Not bad but the STANDARD at BAMA is STILL the STANDARD no matter who is the Head Coach! Having said all this, does BAMA deserve to be in playoffs? It depends on what you value most I suppose. If you value the team who is the hottest right now playing consistent fundamental football well that would be South Carolina. If you value strength of schedule and head to head wins well that would be BAMA. If you value teams with impressive total offensive and think those teams would compete better in playoffs well that would be MIAMI and Ole Miss who are #1 and #2 respectively in Total Offense. So I guess it just depends. Regardless, I just think it would be hilarious to see the #11 or #12 team win it all in the college playoffs. That would truly summarize this year in college football. 🤪

My faith in college football is restored. The committee did the right thing, put the best teams in, by not including Bama. However, Indiana's entrance is not earned, nor justified, not matter their record. With tweaking, this new playoff bracket works. Just make it 16. In the end, you control your own destiny. If you're complaining, man up and do what Ducks did this season. Go undefeated. Definitely don't loose to an unranked opponent in OU by only scoring 3 points. I love the crimson tide, but South Carolina deserves that 12 spot more. If oklahoma bama shows up, another program basically gets a by week. If the bama that beat georgia shows up, we could win the natty, but we do not deserve that last spot.
All the teams being considered for the 12th spot have a valid case for being in. It’s going to be unfair to some teams no matter who ends up getting in.

I’ve been die hard bama since I was old enough to walk. I am rooting for us and will always roll with the tide, but the reality is that the inconsistency isn’t going to cut it, so hopefully we find a way to get everyone on the same page long term. Roll tide.
Oklahoma literally took the Vandy blueprint & executed it again on Bama. Any team facing Bama would just do the same thing since Deboerr clearly has an issue preparing his teams. That being said I still think Milroe is special and always a threat.

Don’t care how much a program is considered a blueblood program the bottom line is with this 12 team format with the teams in records they have this year if the team has three losses they cannot be considered in the top 12 and if they do then is for a matter of getting the top 12 has nothing to do with teams with the best records it has keeping Blue Bloods in there because They just want them in there! So, if you have three losses, you should not even be considered!
This playing in "cold weather" is an obsolete argument. Penn State and other B1G teams have several starters from TX, FL, AL, MS... It's a different game now.
Only Alabama could get dog walked by a bad Oklahoma team by 21 two weeks before the playoffs and still make it in. Don’t even get me started on losing to Vandy and giving up 40 points

Bamas RB1 isn’t even in the top 100 in terms of yards per carry…. We do not have a run game outside of Jalen Milroe being a dual threat. Bama has been exposed week in and week out. Whether that be in terms of defense, close games with bad teams and losses to even worse teams… I understand this is kalens first year, but given what he had at Washington and did 10x better with vs the talent he has at bama has shown he’s either not our coach or just can’t get it done yet.

I will say Bama didn’t look good in the Iron Bowl. They actually played pretty dang poorly. Only td’s were Milroe’s rush td’s. 4 turnovers. Auburn drove inside their red zone repeatedly, but didn’t have a play caller, qb and fg kicker. I don’t think Bama played well enough to warrant a spot in the CFP. They showed me they don’t deserve a spot. Just be happy you’re not Auburn. Lol. Let’s not forget Oklahoma was just 2 weeks ago. Put SC in front of Bama. Even after they had players transfer out, Bama still had the highest ranked roster in college football per the 247 Talent Composite.

I love the crimson tide, but South Carolina deserves that 12 spot more. If oklahoma bama shows up, another program basically gets a by week. If the bama that beat georgia shows up, we could win the natty, but we do not deserve that last spot.

Bamas RB1 isn’t even in the top 100 in terms of yards per carry…. We do not have a run game outside of Jalen Milroe being a dual threat. Bama has been exposed week in and week out. Whether that be in terms of defense, close games with bad teams and losses to even worse teams… I understand this is kalens first year, but given what he had at Washington and did 10x better with vs the talent he has at bama has shown he’s either not our coach or just can’t get it done yet.

I will say Bama didn’t look good in the Iron Bowl. They actually played pretty dang poorly. Only td’s were Milroe’s rush td’s. 4 turnovers. Auburn drove inside their red zone repeatedly, but didn’t have a play caller, qb and fg kicker. I don’t think Bama played well enough to warrant a spot in the CFP.
