I don’t have many success stories with orchids but this season my orchid produced a keiki and it actually flowered before the main plant. A flower spike is also on the main plant. Thanks for this info.💚🌿
Just what I needed to know today 👍👍. My favorite phaleonopsis is having a baby!! My very first Keiki! I just didn't know what to do 🤔. Now I have a better idea. THANKS 😊
So, I have no knowledge about orchids or plants in general. I have an orchid, and after it was done blooming, I didn't cut the stem or anything like I've now learned that I should have done. I just left it to grow like it wants to, and just continued to water it. So after a while, suddenly two leaves started growing (almost) at the top of the stem where the flowers used to be! Is this a keiki? Those two leaves have grown bigger and it's been like that for almost a year now. But there are no roots growing out of it where those two leaves are, only at the bottom of the plant where they have always been. So what do I do about this? Appreciate the knowledge you have and am grateful that there are people like you out there who share their knowledge for free. Thanks =)
I found an orchid at my local supermarket and it had a flower stem which had zero flowers left but it has a Kieki and I’m new to orchids and I’m unsure what to do. It has 4 leaves and 1 root. Also the mother plant isn’t looking that great the keiki is nice and shiny and rigidity while the mother plant has two leaves are looking not so great and I can see the roots have been sitting in very wet medium for a while.

Thank you for this lovely video. Did you spray the keiki roots when you watered the mother plant?
Are you in Austin? Have you ever tried wrapping an orchid on a live oak?
