I love your cockpit. Looking to start building my own setup and going to use yours as inspiration. Panel build first once I determine my 'version 1.0' setup (Cessna 172 is my main focus but want to have some room for expansion into multi engine piston/turboprop).
Few questions again about FlyAgi. How do you set it to be on your right monitor, I'm unable to replicate. You also mentioned that "if you've downloaded clouds of the years it will see them". Where does it know where to look? I have a ton of presets that I know I didn't download for clouds like ASXP, where did it find these?
Question: I am interested in buidling this but I may not go the short throw projector route and instead I think I would go with a large TV because it would probably end up being cheaper, my question is, how much do you find yourself looking out and around the windscreen of the cockpit. Do you find the larger 100" screen adds to the realism vs. having a TV that is the size of the windscreen opening? I hope my question makes sense, thanks for your thoughts.
Second this. Those side LCDs make it seem SO realistic that I would think an LCD screen in the front just on the other side of the dash would do the same...not sure if anyone else has tried that and maybe it's not a good idea? Would love to hear if anyone has tried/has an example.
I was able to find another Cessna cockpit sim on youtube that used the 3 screen set up...he had 2 on the side just like this one, but in front was a 55" tv. Didn't look much different than this one, so I'm sure it would work (and may not need to be as big as one might think). I'm curious about whether a curved TV would work...like say a 65" Samsung curved...they go for about $600...not too bad if it could nearly mimc the curved front glass on some single engine aircrafts....something to think about. Wonder if anyone has tried that?
Thanks for the update video sorry I missed the live stream but can you just do one thing do a video showing you fov on your monitors and graphics settings please
BFG, you may have just solved one of my issues. Did I hear you say that you are using the X-Plane plugin for the FIP's? So to be clear, you are not using SPAD.NEXT to drive the FIP's?
